I used to go here and was reasonably happy with the service until the "plague" hit. We were forced…read moreto wait in our cars until til our exact appointment time-so ridiculous. I had come in a few minutes early (as I always had without incident) and I was talked down to by the receptionist like I was a 2 year old - verbally scolded by a woman who was at least 20 years younger than me! I let that go but I was not happy! The following visit I was forced to wait and wait in a crowded waiting room for my last visit without any acknowledgment at all. But. . . But. . . isn't that so dangerous with the plague? I had even taken a half day from work!!! Finally I chose to walk the hell out. I did that and never came back. My last experience with the office staff was poor. Extremely condescending and rude. Dr did personally call to try to salvage my business but he chose his rude office staff over the patient saying he would "work" with her. If your office staff is rude and condescending to patients why would they be the face-voice of your business anyway? Lots of turnover here too- that speaks volumes. I guess the only time they seem to care is when you walk out- I was getting calls nonstop but when you are there? No appreciation. I've since had two other old school chiropractors who charge me next to nothing because I don't go through insurance. The one I saw was wonderful but fell ill and passed away- the other is amazing- Shout out to YOU DR JOSEPH WASHKO!! He also gives me plenty of time- I'm not rushed in and out like Dr C. It was a blessing in disguise- my last experience enabled me to find a far better value and comprehensive treatment. Sorry- not sorry.

I would never recommend Dr. Connelly…read more After almost an hour of him talking to me, discrediting my 10 years of health problems to "inflammation" and making snide remarks about all of my providers and what they were doing wrong to help me (PT, functional doc, previous Chiro) to try and make it seem like I just needed him... and telling me about how his wife left him... I politely declined X-rays without a thyroid collar (a common, evidence-based safety request). I was very calm and said "I'm not comfortable with it" - he became irate. I was met with aggression, intimidating (yelling) and personal attack. All in a room alone with him as a young female. It was extremely inappropriate, uncalled for and unprofessional response to a calm boundary well within my rights. Not a respectful or safe environment and I should honestly press charges for harassment.

I had my first facial at Gwendolynn's Salon and Spa last weekend. My boyfriend also came along and…read moregot a massage. My aesthetician's name was Brittney (I think I spelled that correctly!) and she was wonderful. She gave me a relaxing hour-long facial with NO extractions! She was very gentle and professional. I will be going back to her again. They use BioElements products, which I use myself at home and really like. My boyfriend's massage therapist was Kerri. He can't stop raving about her. He has a lot of back issues due to his line of work, and gets massages frequently. He said she is the first therapist who really seemed to understand where his pain is and addressed it. He also plans on booking with her again. I subtracted one star for this review because the salon's interior appearance could use a LOT of help. The decor is very dated (think 90s "luxe" quasi-Tuscan style) and the gold wall-to-wall carpeting and industrial carpeting in some of the treatment rooms upstairs look like it has definitely seen better days. For a business that has been around for as long as this one has, I am surprised they haven't invested more in updating the decor, swapping the carpeting for hardwood/laminate/tile and removing the 90's-style stucco/textured wall paint. The salon would definitely benefit from a cleaner, more modern look (nicer flooring, more neutral/clean paint colors, updated light fixtures, etc.). Time to come into the next century. I think the appearance might put off some potential new clients, which is a shame because the two professionals we saw were very good at their jobs.

My rating on this business is not for the the entire business but on the stylist who attempted to…read morecut my wife's hair and the front office which sets appointments. The first issue was when the appointment was set as the business did not do their job ensuring my wife would be given all of the attention of the stylist. My wife came in for a completely new style and they put her in during a time when another client was waiting for color to set (or whatever happens with that process). My wife noticed the cut was not going as planned as the stylist began to show her frustration, my wife could see the other client getting upset as she was now waiting for the stylist and the stylist even made a comment that the cut was not what she imagined. My wife noticed that her hair was shorter than she desired and eventually told the stylist to just stop. A good stylist would have mentioned that there are some areas that she would like to smooth out or make even but the stylist was obviously done and quickly finished up. So who lost in this scenario? My wife. She paid full price for a cut that was nowhere close to what she described (and even provided a picture of), was not allotted the time to get the cut she desired and is now in the process of making the corrections to her own hair that should have been taken care of before she left, she will have to get and pay for another haircut before she normally would and she is very aware, conscious and even EMBARRASSED because of her haircut. She is embarrassed to be seen or noticed which is NOT something that should come from a new haircut or new hairstyle and is not something I would like to hear if I was a stylist. The business needs to do a better job qualifying clients to see if they can be fit into a time slot while another client waits for a perm or color to set or if that client needs more dedicated time. It is not fair to the stylist, the client that now has to wait for the stylist to finish or to the client that is getting squeezed in and not being given their just time. The stylist needs to do a better job in asking for help when they are in above abilities and should NEVER, EVER let a client leave without ensuring the cut is pleasing, even and to the best of their ability or to the best of the abilities of another stylist!! Shame on everyone involved for allowing this to happen and yes my wife is looking for a new stylist and new place to get her hair styled.

From her nurturing demeanor and professionalism I felt at ease... even from the first few moments i knew this was going to be a cathartic session because of how safe i felt. She works with beautiful music, and crystals and sage and big metal singing bowls and her hands. Its a wild paradox that someone can hold you lightly and also with strength and certainty and you feel comfortable to let go. Yes i cried. I hate crying and it was amazing. My whole body was lighter and i was having visual experiences that made sense- its a beautiful and rare thing to feel that your cells got nourishment. Truly cathartic and bonus was the enchanting lightness i carried with me from her session. This is part of my wellness routine

She begins each session with a conversation so that she can truly meet you where you are and provide a wholistic approach to what you need to heal. Whether that is an emotional or physical release, a deepened connection with source, an energetic balancing or cleansing, or so on. Every session is unique to where I am at in my physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies. She always seems to know what is wrong before I open my mouth, but she always holds space for me within her loving glow. Emily has an incredible way of making you feel instantly comfortable, even the most advanced of wall builders, like myself. I have broken down into tears before getting on the table, had massive physical releases, and healed in ways I thought weren't possible. She has guided me through deep emotional trauma as well as physical trauma (I had abdominal surgery to remove 15 tumors in 2016). I will say it's not all glitter and romance, there are often hard lessons to be learned and dealt with, and they can be difficult (but always necessary) and she guides you through it with light and love. I could go on and on, but really my words will mean nothing. What Emily offers is intuitive and experiential. Everyone's session is powerful, uniquely their own, and always far beyond what they expected. She is a true facilitator for your healing journey and I am blessed to have her in my life. My advice: go in to your session with an open mind and ready to receive her gifts.
