Valerie is very knowledgeable about how our body's work and how to correct irregularities. I came…read moreto her suffering from sciatic pain and numbness post fusion for spinal stenosis. First she looked at how I was standing and walking. She saw I some areas out of alignment and imbalances. She listened carefully to my description of my symptoms. She explained what she was going to do so I understood the process. She used a combination of targeted areas of acupuncture in hips and legs. Also, cupping and massage for areas where my muscles were tight. I had 4 treatments and she was able to decrease the intensity of my sciatic pains, and in some areas eliminated the pain altogether. I was very impressed with her skills and ability to use multiple modalities. She has a very calming manner as well as relaxing treatment areas. I've acupuncture before elsewhere, and I feel Valerie is the best.

I am a Vietnam combat veteran who was introduced to acupuncture by VA mental health team 2011 for…read moretreatment of PTSD. Over the years, starting in 2012, I have been treated by Valerie Hunter. Treatments, always with diagnosis and support of both non-VA and VA primary care physicians as well as orthopedic specialist, neurology specialist, pain management specialist. Conditions include, but not limited to significant pain management, diabetes, sleep deprivation/apnea, hypertension, osteoarthritis associated with injuries. Very notable has been her continuous professional development over the years. The acupuncture with electrical stimulation has not only reduced pain but has provided strength significantly reducing "fall conditions" . As well she has introduced me to a superior device Alpha-Stim Aid that provides unique supplemental treatment for anxiety, insomnia, and depression that ironically reduces her income! VETERANS take note SHE DEMONSTRATED AWESOME support even while dealing with DELAYED payments under (sic) Choice Program. Take note VA R&D recognizes the Stim-Aid device but the VHA leadership does not support procurement that would reduce medication and appointment needs--Why? Understand reduction of any and all medications, with DO CTOR direction, improves your health by reduction of side effects. "NEW" treatment recognized for Opoids, everywhere but the VA! Take note the drug companies are evidently now allowing 3,000 year+ eastern medicine to be acceptable???? During our recent recession did you happen to notice NEW drug stores on every corner of most communities across the country being built. Do you think intentional denial of competitive bidding for drug providers is to benefit veterans by the grateful nation? Valerie is a HERO to those veterans she serves without recognition!!!!

My experience with Emily has been a revolution of my heart and my cells. I was blown away by the…read moreenchanting space of her office. From her nurturing demeanor and professionalism I felt at ease... even from the first few moments i knew this was going to be a cathartic session because of how safe i felt. She works with beautiful music, and crystals and sage and big metal singing bowls and her hands. Its a wild paradox that someone can hold you lightly and also with strength and certainty and you feel comfortable to let go. Yes i cried. I hate crying and it was amazing. My whole body was lighter and i was having visual experiences that made sense- its a beautiful and rare thing to feel that your cells got nourishment. Truly cathartic and bonus was the enchanting lightness i carried with me from her session. This is part of my wellness routine

It's difficult to quantify what Emily brings to the literal and figurative table. I have been…read moreworking with her for several years and her work is constantly evolving and blooming. She begins each session with a conversation so that she can truly meet you where you are and provide a wholistic approach to what you need to heal. Whether that is an emotional or physical release, a deepened connection with source, an energetic balancing or cleansing, or so on. Every session is unique to where I am at in my physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies. She always seems to know what is wrong before I open my mouth, but she always holds space for me within her loving glow. Emily has an incredible way of making you feel instantly comfortable, even the most advanced of wall builders, like myself. I have broken down into tears before getting on the table, had massive physical releases, and healed in ways I thought weren't possible. She has guided me through deep emotional trauma as well as physical trauma (I had abdominal surgery to remove 15 tumors in 2016). I will say it's not all glitter and romance, there are often hard lessons to be learned and dealt with, and they can be difficult (but always necessary) and she guides you through it with light and love. I could go on and on, but really my words will mean nothing. What Emily offers is intuitive and experiential. Everyone's session is powerful, uniquely their own, and always far beyond what they expected. She is a true facilitator for your healing journey and I am blessed to have her in my life. My advice: go in to your session with an open mind and ready to receive her gifts.
