Best quality Acupuncture on/near Main line - and affordable too! I've been getting acupuncture for over 20 years in various cities in US and overseas. When I first moved to this area, I was shocked by how much more expensive treatments were here. Our family just couldn't afford regular treatments. So, we'd go without and our bodies would pay the price. I heard about the Community Acupuncture Movement 10 years ago while living on the west coast, but didn't grasp the significance at that time. I wasn't sure about a group setting and whether that would work for me. I cherish my time alone with my needles. When I drove by Havertown Community Acupuncture it motivated me to do some research. I found a 30 minute documentary about it on YouTube and was so inspired. I had to try it!
I'm so glad I got over my hesitation about the group setting. Rani and Randi are both excellent and knowledgeable acupuncturists. We mainly see Rani, because the days she works fit our schedule more often. Rani's background in Shiatsu and energy medicine give her a unique approach, which I love. I've had huge improvements in digestive issues, hormone balancing, back issues and stress management. My teenage son has also seen big improvements in digestion, stress levels and energy levels.
Both Rani and Randi radiate warmth and understanding. The clinic is so peaceful and beautiful. White noise machines are used which creates a "bubble" of privacy. Auditory processing problems run in my family, so I wasn't sure if my son & I could handle the constant din of the white noise machines. But, after a treatment or two I stopped noticing the white noise. Now when the needles are in it becomes like the ocean - funny how that works. They also use the thinest needles in their treatments so this is great for newcomers and for children.
The clinic has 3 tables and several zero-gravity chairs. Clients come in in 20 minute intervals and this is amazingly efficient. At first when I booked on line I misunderstood the 20 minutes as the length of the session. My son & I get to stay/sleep with our needles in for as long as we need, which is another great aspect to this method. With other past practitioners, I found it frustrating that they'd take the needles out just as I was getting to deep relaxation and be paying $130 for 35-45 minutes!
