It's a deal breaker when a bagel shop does not have good coffee options. We are decaf coffee drinkers, ordered two cups only to discover their only decaf option is flavored vanilla. What? Makes no sense at all. So I switched to caffeinated which was cooked down and bitter. Ruined our experience. This shop in Canyon Crest is very busy in a Saturday morning. Lots of loyal customers apparently. The bagel sandwiches we ordered were OK but not awesome. We ordered a chorizo on a sour dough but the bagel seemed to be a normal plain. We also ordered ham?, spinach and mushroom on an Asiago jalapeño bagel which was the best part of the experience....that bagel. The specialty bagels in the case looked larger and yummier than regular size bagels. I'd recommend those bagels with cream cheese. The sandwiches were just fair. Nice little spot in Canyon Crest area. Has indoor and outdoor seating and the inside looks nice and clean with musical posters along the walls. The cashier was nice and I was able to order quickly. My mom used to go early on a Saturday when the bagels were super fresh and bring home a mixed dozen and a huge container of their delicious fresh whipped cream cheese. I went late in the day around 1 (they close at 2) and the pickins' were slim. So go early. My kids shared a pizza bagel. It has mozzarella and cheddar on it. Spicey deluxe $7.89 and an additional $0.99 for jalapeño. I mistakenly thought the $0.99 was to have cream cheese. Not so. Shop is spacious to accommodate the lines of people. Lines move quickly but a small wait for food. A few seats scattered but not enough for you to come with friends. Stars are for initial hot food. Missing stars for soggy bagel bottom and my hunger still from food I could not eat for soggy purposes. This place has potential. I was looking for the $10-12 packet you get at trader Joe's, etc. For the office to pick at and put on the bagels with creame cheese... It was gonna be like $60 for "4 portions"... I skipped that. - I like to avoid pork due to health reasons (not Jewish) so I like kosher/Halal places since they tend to be healthier choices... I find it weird that theirs so much pork on everything and no real Kosher option like Turkey or beef sausage/ bacon Overall, this place has lots of choices if you dont mind pork but the flavor falls flat and options are lacking... nothing to write home about.
