We came for a last min dinner on Christmas Eve and were very pleasantly surpised by the quality of the dishes. The staff are helpful and there were a few groups of local families gathered just as we were walking in (it was around 7 pm so we suspect this was a stop before the actual family events).
A few highlights:
1. Tortilla: Get the large for only 2 additional euros. This was very solid - perfectly seasoned and fluffy. It is pretty big but we ended up finishing it because it was so good.
2. Galician octpus: Tender and flavorful. The accompanying creamy potato puree was sublime, and paired well with the spicy octopus.
3. Cod with creamy risotto: Perfectly crispy skin and fork-tender flesh, all over a rich and savory risotto. This one is light but packs a great flavor punch with a nice pairing of textures.
4. Duck cannelloni: This was one of the better cannelloni dishes I have had - the duck is incredibly tender and the savory, robust filling pairs well with the creamy topping. It's not a light dish but definitely worth a try.
5. Candied suckling pig: Pretty solid classic. The skin is nice and crispy, and the meat ultra-tender.
They also gave us a bowl of housemade potato chips, which were divine (perfectly thickness and level of seasoning), as a starter. If you are staying downtown, then this is a nice hidden gem. The total bill came to ~109 Euros for 6 dishes and a house draft beer - and this is enough food for 2-3. read more
