Truly the best meal I had in six days in Madrid. I am a bit of a mushroom fanatic I do for it at home in the United States so I was extremely excited to try this restaurant. It just so happened to be in front of the Airbnb I was staying in. Let's just call it Kismet. To start we had the most incredible olives I've ever had in my entire life I have no idea what they were but they tasted like Savory cheese and olives all together. There weren't enough because I don't think that number exists. Our first dish was and artichoke confit with fried sunchoke, Daikon radish, black truffles and hollandaise sauce. It was a perfect balance of cripy sunchoke chips, soft artichokes, fresh daikon, and creamy dreamy truffle sauce. Our second dish was morel mushrooms with cured tuna fish assorted pickles and herbs. If you have not tried morel mushrooms you must! Life changingly good like the best roasted beef, soft and juicy. It was really amazing mixed with the tuna and salad herbs underneath. Our third dish was black trumpet mushrooms with a turmeric coconut sauce which tasted very lemony. Like a Thai curry sauce on top of eggplant, peanut crumble, and sliced sugar peas. Our last dish was a pork Trotter with bolete mushrooms in a bar. It was a heavier plate with a thicker creamier consistency contrasting with the crispy outer edges of the bar.
This was a meal I will remember for years! The price couldn't be beat for the flavors, service, freshness, and care that went into each dish. The service was impeccable as well. Please do yourself a favor and go! read more
