Ok. This was an unassuming place but got good local referral so we tried it. Each course was very memorable. Highly recommend. It was reasonable prices for Madrid and wine good value. They let us split up the Many of the courses and allows us to enjoy them smaller portion for many people it was excellent

Definitely a Must eat fried cheese

It is my fifth time to be here. It is hard to believe I live on the other side of the world! This is definitely the restaurant you never want to miss! The chef cares about his customers than Michelin star, he spent so much love on foods and always makes you find some new understanding of food! Strongly recommend, definitely will come back again and again and again!

I like traveling but Spain is the first. I informed the limit amount and ordered food. We ate cheaply dishes that we can not taste anywhere in Spain. 62Euro / 4 beers / 5 dishs meal

The pork trotters with oxtail stew are wonderful and very tasty, also the creamy rice The waiter is very friendly, he always smile and willing to recommend us a menu. The price, when comparing with the food quality, it is reasonable or a bit cheap for this great cuisine I could say. The atmosphere is nice with an appropriately dim light just to see each other face. A great foods of restaurant is cooked by a great chef.

Dining at Lakasa was a phenomenal experience. The restaurant has the option to serve most of its dishes as half portions to have a more tapas like experience. This is what my wife and I elected to do. We started with the Idiazabal Cheese Fritters. These soft gooey balls exploded with warm cheesy goodness and were insanely addictive. Next we had the Deep Fried Shrimps with Lime Mayonese. These shrimps were lightly crisp and airy and paired nicely with the creamy lime mayonese. Next up was the Cured Cow Meat from Astorga with a Touch of Pepper. This rich and flavorful cured meat had a pleasant salty and smokiness. Next we had the Grilled Duck Foie with Sweet Truffle. The Foie was creamy and lightly toasted and topped with savory mushroom shavings. The Marinated Loin of Bonito with Tomato Sauce & Cherry Tomato was also amazing. The melt in your mouth fish was paired nicely with juicy tomatoes. The Roast Pork with Homemade Mole Sauce was next. The tender pork had a nicely crisp outside and topped with a flavorful and spicy mole sauce and crisp tortilla chips. Next we had a cheese selection featuring four cheeses and jams from different areas of Europe. The cheeses had a variety of enjoyable flavors and textures. Finally, we couldn't decide what to order for dessert, so we ordered three. The first dessert was the Lemon Pie with Meringue & Crumble which was lemony tart, creamy and filled with crunchy graham pieces. The second was the Crème Caramel made with Sheep's Milk, which was a creamy sweet flan. Finally we had the Double Choco (Black & White). This dessert was chocolate bliss: creamy and rich with a nice sweetness and bitterness. Every dish we had was perfect! Overall, the food was exceptional and flavorful and Lakasa is a must visit when in Madrid.

    Surprise anniversary dessert from Lakasa

The food, service, and atmosphere were excellent! Our server asked if we were celebrating something special, and after we told her it was our 16th wedding anniversary, they surprised us with dessert and champagne! Seemed like we were the only Americans in this restaurant, more of a local place and off the beaten tourist path, so you know it's good. Liked that you could choose half portions for most of the menu items!

Chic place and food is great!!! Highly recommend if you are looking for gourmet food.

Mushroom special topped with thin layer of Pork lardo. Good

This restaurant came highly recommended, and did not disappoint. We arrived at 8pm and were the first to arrive. You can order off of the main menu at 8:30 or a limited bar menu before 8:30. I recommend waiting until 8:30 to order off the main menu.

After coming back, we saw a tapas tour coming in. They came there for the croquettes and the vermut. We ordered the boletos, sweetbreads, pulpo, and, of course, the callos. The server tried to help us out and said those should be enough since there was just 2 of us dining. They give you free iberico with cheese and crispy pork belly for appetizers. Every dish was a hit! Boletos with egg and truffle felt very rustic, savory, delicious. Truffle was not overpowering, mushrooms were fresh. Sweetbreads was our favorite out of the meal. It was like a step down from actual foie gras. Goes well with beer and wine. The galician pulpo was the best one we had on our trip, and we had 3 of them beforehand. And lastly the callos. At this point we've already hit a wall with all the food we had, servings were a good size per dish. It was rich, decadent, and perfectly cooked. It doesn't have the offal aftertaste you get from tripa that's ill prepared. We had multiple beers and wines throughout the meal. The service was personally phenomenal. They checked on us constantly and made sure the food was as we expected. We're going back for lunch tomorrow

We walked in the restaurant and checked out the menu. One of the managers came up to us and told us that unfortunately in this part of the restaurant the wait was going to be long. He told us that there was another part of the restaurant around the corner. The manager personally walked us there and got us a table. Our servers brought out bread and showed us the menu and wine list. One of my friends decided to order a bottle of wine which three of my friends shared. The menu was all in Spanish, but the staff helped us with the words that we did not know and we ordered. I decided to order the spicy beef, peppers, potatoes, and fried egg. Everything flowed together very well and had just the right amount of spice. It was a little greasy, so I did not eat a lot of it as I was not super hungry and did not want any stomach problems later--smile. The staff brought out dessert for my friends, which was carrot cake and flan that looked so amazing! Our bill was brought out and we all noticied that there was a 6 euro charge for our bread. Bread in Spain is super inexpensive, so why they would charge us 6 euros for five small pieces of hard bread I do not know. Other than that our food was delicious and the service was great as well!!

I truly have to highlight Pepe, Franco, and Grace for taking the time to speak to us and get to know us. The food was FANTASTIC. It is a great place to stop in for a drink and a quick bite, especially if you want something authentic and lively. When we visited, it was packed to the point where you were shoulder to shoulder with other guests and close enough to easily hear the party next to you. It adds to the charm if you enjoy that classic crowded European dining atmosphere, but it is something to keep in mind if you prefer more space.

One of the trickiest parts of travel? Timing the vibe. You can have the best recommendations, the…read moreright outfit, and the crew ready to go--but if the energy's off, it's off. Spain, famously, runs late. Dinner isn't dinner until 9:00 PM, minimum. And the party? It doesn't even warm up until midnight. So there we were, wandering the city streets at 10-ish, already two drinks in, hungry for adventure--and just slightly off-sync with the nightlife rhythm. Phones in hand, we played the usual game: app-hop, review-skim, vibe-check. We tried a few spots--each either too quiet or clearly recovering from last night's chaos. Three attempts in, the group hit a wall: tired, tipsy, and borderline feisty. But something told us to keep going. That's when my wingman and I backtracked--past a velvet rope we'd passed earlier. Two sharply dressed bouncers stood outside a low-profile building. No flashing signs. No loud crowd. Just posture and presence. A place that invests in the right doormen, I figured, probably gets a lot of other details right, too. We approached. A nod. A door opens. Then another. And just like that, the mood shifted. We walked into a full-blown production--music pounding, the bar staff moving like choreography, strangers dancing like best friends. It felt like a scene from a high-budget musical... except we weren't watching it. We were in it. We looked at each other and grinned like idiots. We'd found it. That thing travelers chase but rarely catch: a spontaneous, untamed, perfect night. Suddenly the questions came flooding in: Why didn't we come here sooner? How did we almost miss this? Why were there so many beautiful people here? But we didn't stay in question mode for long. We dove in--drinking, dancing, flirting, laughing. The energy was electric. The connection, effortless. Sadly, we only had an hour before closing. But we made it count. And as we spilled out into the night, breathless and buzzing, we asked the most important question of all: "When are we coming back?" This place? It's more than a bar--it's a movement. I've since seen videos of Karol G making an appearance, and heard rumors they're opening new locations. Whoever's behind this? Congratulations. You've found a way to bottle Mexico's best party energy and ship it across the globe. We'll be back. Next time, earlier--and ready.

Just in case you didn't know that by me writing this review in English and he fact that we flew here. ;) The man at the front desk said we were only a few blocks away from Calle de Ponzano which is a strip with lots of tapas bars so you can hop to different ones and have a few bites to eat. I'll admit that when we got there it was awesome but very intimidating. The places were packed with SPANISH PEOPLE! Gasp! Exciting. So we took a big Gulp like big kids and walked right into one and a wonderful waitress took us under her wing. She told us to call her Indiana Jones so that's what I'm gonna do. She was lovely and from the Dominican Republic. Anyway, we happily ordered two glasses of Rioja (which was amazing and cheap) and the pulpo (octopus) because that was her favourite. The pulpo was freaking amazing. It was charred/grilled and came out in one piece. It was also with a very flavourful (and oily) sauce that was amazing with bread. The octopus itself was a fantastic texture, cooked perfectly, and went very nicely with the wine. Indiana Jones happily served us even at 12:30 despite it getting quite late but apparently they were open until 2. Next we had the fried calamari which was super fried and oily but oh my god it was good. I must say, this was an incredible experience. The location was fantastic, so was the food, so was Indiana, and so was the wine. Yay.

When the waitress came over she was friendly and assured us we had enough time to order what we wanted from the kitchen. She also tried to speak English as best she could to explain what the dishes were. We ordered some typical tapas - Ravioli Burrata, Chicken Wings, Croquetas, Gyoza of Ropa Vieja, and Duck Tacos. The tacos were flavorful and the Gyozas were delicious. The other tapas were just ok, didn't stand out any more than others. I did not like the texture of the Ravioli and it is a cold dish so seemed bland to me. I thought the food was good overall, but it did seem a little pricey.
