This was a terrific restaurant, Michelin recommended, where we ate for lunch on a Sunday. We had a reservation at 1pm. The owner had asked if we'd be able to push it back to 1:30pm, but we weren't able to. But he still showed up at 1pm for us, and delivered excellent service for us!
The food was PHENOMENAL. We started off with a gazpacho, refreshing. Next dish was the tomato salad - wow. So simple - just cut up tomatoes with red onions, olive oil, salt and pepper. But wow, those ingredients were high quality and you could tell!
We also got 2 toasties of beef tartare - YUM! So good!!!! This is one of their most popular dishes, and it was fantastic. The 2 toasts were good enough by the way, and I would encourage you to just have the taste, so that you can order other items to try them. We also ordered the Bone Marrow - and honestly, I haven't had that in several years. I guess it's kind of lost its trend. However, it was HUGE and amazing, melt in your mouth, clogging your arteries, really quite amazing. Lastly we shared the steak, smallest portion of 500 g. Wow!!! The meat was so good!!! Cooked to perfection!!! It also came with shoe string french fries, so fantastic.
We were so full when we left. Obviously this was an extremely heavy meal, that isn't for everyone. But we left extremely satisfied, happy, and well-fed. The ambiance of this restaurant is so charming too. It felt like a place I would want to come with friends on a Friday night to relax and unwind about the week.
