There was also a difference in how people communicated, some people were borderline rude and could care less, but not Bob George. He was not only responsive and professional from beginning to end, but also one of the best prices I was quoted. He was also flexible with the time, was able to accommodate me when I was available earlier. As opposed some of the other bigger companies that have millions of customers and you are dealing with admins, random staff and call centers, here you are always dealing directly with Bob. The install went super smooth, Bob came on time, he was in and out in less than an hour. He is also a local small business, just 'a man with a van', a genuinely nice guy with decades of experience doing this type of work so I was happy to support a local business owner. He told me that he is semi-retired, however, so if you're looking to get more labor-intensive work done in your home, he may no longer do it, but standard things like a disposal install, it's no problem. Definitely recommended, hope he doesn't completely retire too soon in case I need him in the future!

While Bob had an initial vision for how best to restore the closet, we talked through some alternatives onsite that ultimately saved me significant material cost and a Home Depot trip. I had a couple smaller projects as well- Bob was honest and direct about what was in his wheelhouse and what would require more specialized support (e.g. electrical), also talking me through a simple repair I could make on my own to avoid the need to bring him out again once I source the appropriate fixture. In addition to his fair and transparent pricing, Bob guarantees his work. Further, he's extremely clean- I stepped into his work area to see how things were going and even though he'd been using power tools for the last 20 min, his work area was kept so clean that I could barely tell work was in progress. But what seals the deal for me is his outstanding communication. He replies quickly via text or email, ballparks time and material cost in advance, and gives a clear idea of which projects are a good fit for his business and which aren't- given Bob has a 3-hour minimum, the last part is super important for smaller projects to ensure you have enough work lined up to make full use of his time. In summary, a good handyman is hard to find, but Bob checks all the boxes- friendly, honest, tidy, on time, high-quality work, good value, great communication. Highly recommend!
