I don't eat donuts very often but when I need a donut fix, Earl's the place to go. I've tried a lot of different places but have always returned here for their fresh and delicious taste. Walking in we were greeted very warmly by the employees there. Big smiles and a jolly hello which started everything on a high note. Sadly, it didn't stay that way. It was probably because it was closer to noon when we came in to get some much needed sugar in our bloodstream but there wasn't too great of a selection. Most of the display trays were running low and it didn't look like anything would be in the back. After picking my sweet treats they informed me that they didn't accept any cards. (... I live off debit cards!! Sadness.) I was very lucky that my friend was able to pick up the super tiny tab for me (Thank you Jason!). The dough nuts were very good. They weren't the freshest but they were still fluffy and sweet (Just like me :P) but it was obvious that they weren't right out of the oven. I still like it here though. I've relished, devoured, and have thoroughly savored almost every raised donut flavor at Earl's for decades ....for longer than Heidi Klum's been alive. I especially love the blueberry buttermilks. Came in at around 4:45pm to try an infamous cronut here and it was sold out!! Wahhhh!! They told me to come back around 8am before they sell out... but for being open 24 hours thats kinda wack. Settled for an apple fritter which was pretty good as promised by other yelpers. Got a blueberry cake and crumbled yeast donut which I have yet to try... I also got a taro boba smoothie which was good. The boba was soft and chewy which I like. I'm usually a thai iced tea girl but they couldn't make it blended for me so taro it was... I think they may have corrected the timing issues and are making a more appropriate amount of donuts so they are fresh. Last 3 visits in the past 6+ months, they had donuts just coming out of the friers and settling. They do make a tasty Old Fashion chocolate/chocolate. And there hasn't been a stale one since. Been coming here for awhile. I love their donuts. Their donuts are fresh and tasty. The place doesn't look fancy but it's the donuts that counts. THIS is the whole reason I joined Yelp in the first place- to review Earl's Donuts. I didn't discover this site until I searched in google maps for a fast way to get there from Glassel Park. Unless your heading to the mall or to check out the infamous porn area, there isn't any other reason to come to the West Valley. I say this now out of love. I grew up in Northridge and back when I used to blaze this was always the late night spot to get some donuts from the rude ass server with the glasses. He's gotten nicer over the last couple of years but I will never forget the time my friend got in a screaming match with the guy after he asked him why he hates his job so much. The guy didn't like that and bitched but hey, we both put up with it because this guy always makes the best donuts in LA and sometimes hooks up a few extra on the side now that we are classic obsessed fans. My absolute favorite donut shop, i was introduced to Earls by my fiance a few years ago. We live in Hawaii but he is originally from LA so we go back a few times a year to visit his family. The first place we go when we get off the plane is Earl's, we just love love love their donuts. During a five day span trip we are there probably once a day to get a dozen donuts. There aren't really any good donut shops in Hawaii, we do have good bakeries but not really donut shops! That's why when we are in LA we get our donut fix on! My fiance's mom was coming out to Hawaii for a visit and asked if we wanted anything from LA for her to bring with her. I immediately said Earls, Earls, Earls! She offered to pick us up a fresh box of donuts for us the morning before her flight. And the count down began i just couldn't wait to get one of those heavenly donuts in my hands. The day finally arrived and we went to pick her up from the airport and there they were my freshly baked that day Earls donuts. She hand carried them on the plane so they wouldn't get smashed in her suitcase. The box was still intact and the donuts were looking amazing. We headed home and after dinner we indulged in them. They were absolutely wonderful, heaven in my mouth! My absolute favorite donut from there is their crumb cake donut but they didn't have any when she went so she got me their crumb yeast donut which i must say was pretty amazing! My fiances favorite donut is the chocolate glazed twist donut covered with chocolate chips...its life changing! This place should definitely be put on the map if you live or are visiting the LA area. This place seems like the best donut shop around in the valley. I came here looking specifically for the Cronut, and I was so happy they had some. The cronut is a croissant donut, and is all the craze in the East Coast. Now a bunch of donut shops in the west coast are offering their version, but I usually could only get one far far down the traffic filled 101 in LA! I got the strawberry cronut which satisfied my cronut needs. It tasted good with the glazed strawberry, but it was really messy to try to eat like a sandwich. I also wanted a blueberry donut, but they didn't have any, and I'm not even sure they make any in the first place. Good place for a cronut fix if you don't want to drive far. I go to Earl's every Friday morning for the donuts for work. They know me by name, have my order ready and make me feel special! Even better - the few Friday's i've been on vacation or had appointments and had others pick up donuts (from whatever store they may be close to), I always get remarks that everyone missed 'MY' donuts cause MY donuts are always the BEST. Amazing!!! We live in the inland empire and were visiting the family on Super Bowl weekend. We woke up early and wanted to get something yummy. We were feeling donuts. Checked out this place and I was pleasantly surprised how clean and well kept this mom and pop shop was compared to other donut shops. We were greeted by a nice lady with a great smile. As this was our first time I asked her for the best recommendations and she was so nice about it! I've tried cresnuts and those delicious blueberry batter donuts. I had no idea they had those here!!! This place is great! The donuts are so good! Just make sure to get there early enough so you get the best selection! Especially on the weekends! The coffee tastes like cheap instant. First off let me say I love good donuts! Last night was our 1st time at Earls! They are open 24/7 we went in around 10 pm and there were people inside eating, always a good sign! Walked in and got Cronut SO GOOD!!! An apple fritter, super good, lots of flavor and a bunch of apple pieces. Also got a cinnamon roll with crumbs all over it!
