It was super busy. Missy was a great waitress. Food was amazing. Wait was not bad we sat at bar to get service faster. Portions were large. I didn't finish the burrito it's huge. The coffee is amazing. The legendary you have to get sourdough bread per my husband it was great.

Run, don't walk to Earl E. Byrds for breakfast!! Best breakfast skillet I have ever had - huge, tasty, wonderful. Wish I had room to eat two of these guys. Excellent coffee, fast and happy service. very fair pricing. I'm coming back to Munising just to have breakfast again!!

Great food! Was well worth the wait. The blueberry pancakes tasted more like cake with butter and blueberries, it was phenomenal. The Bridal Veil veggie omelette was also very good. I changed out the broccoli for some jalapeños.

I'm so back baby. This was Very cute and homey. I think it's a traditional safe breakfast spot . I would definitely return here again for something more savory to try. It's not terribly expensive and you can get individual things such as eggs or toast on the side so its customizable. service was nice even though it was busy and food did not take terribly long. It can feel a little crammed and you probably want to get there earlier than later in the morning. After we left there was a line out the door!

We stopped in after our Pictured Rocks Cruise. We arrived around 12:30 and our party of 5 was seated right away. The service was very prompt. The food came out quickly and tasted really fresh. We ordered two different skillets (Yooper on a Hot Tin Roof and North Light), the caramel apple waffle, chocolate chip pancakes, cinnamon roll, and sides of bacon and sausage. The food was excellent overall. My husband said the caramel apple waffle was the best waffle he's ever had! The sausage was just ok, but the back had great flavor. Both skillets were really flavorful and filling with lots of veggies and meat mixed in with the hash browns. The chocolate chip pancakes were super fluffy with a crispy edge. The coffee was also excellent and refilled often by our server. The prices were a little high, but reasonable for the quality of the food. Nice stop in Munising!

Amazing service and breakfast. The 20 minute wait was easily worth it! Highly recommend.

Quick, friendly service, plenty of choices on the menu and very good sandwiches. We will come back if in the area.

While the setting overlooking Hovey Lake is beautiful at sunset and the service is very good, the food is not up to par. I'm also perplexed why they're using plastic flatware and plastic containers for side dishes like cole slaw. This made sense during the pandemic but not now. I remain ever hopeful that things will get better as there aren't many food options in this (literal) neck of the woods :)

The Buckhorn Lodge sits right on Hovey Lake in the woods of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Whether you're there in the Winter or Summer you can enjoy a great view. They have a great menu here with several fish options, the species depends on the time of the year. They also have burgers, sandwiches, broasted chicken, pizza, and many other options. I generally got the Perch while I was here, but I've enjoyed the Bluegill as well. The fish here is always fresh and cooked perfectly. During my last visit here my wife and I each enjoyed the Perch Sandwich and were not disappointed. This fried Perch sandwich on a homestyle roll with lettuce, and tartar sauce. Though it may seem basic, it tasted amazing! Looking over the lake is always a plus. There's a great beer selection as well. The service here has always been great as well. Do yourself a favor take a drive into the back woods and stop at the Buckhorn Lodge.
