I have known this place for 15 years now. It started as a family business and was transferred to a new owner, who completely renovated the place but kept the best recipe traditions. This is a traditional Armenian food. I have a few favorite dishes there, but I always enjoy their lentil soup. This place has a nice sitting area, but also works for take-out. I ordered two of the $195 platters for my wife's birthday part. We had a ton of other food as well so this wasn't our primary eats for the party. Tony from Eagle Rock was super nice on the phone, was able to work with me on what we needed and we picked up the food right on time. The food was also very good, everyone enjoyed it very much. The big knock I have is that this cost me over $400 and it looked like half the food wasn't there. I mean this was not a lot of food at all, which for the price should be enough food for 25 people minimum. I'm just glad we had the other food or else this food table would have looked abysmal! I really enjoyed my meal here--the chicken platter was delicious, and I especially appreciated how fresh all the ingredients were. It comes with a side salad and your choice of one additional side; I went with the quinoa tabouli, which was light, flavorful, and satisfying. The portion sizes were just right, and there's plenty of parking available, which made the visit even more convenient. The location is part of a lively strip mall with a variety of options--there's a Menchie's for a sweet treat afterward and a Sprouts nearby if you need to pick up groceries. While there's no public restroom on-site, I was able to use the facilities at Sprouts without any trouble. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, and everyone I interacted with was kind and helpful. I just had the beef shawarma wrap and it was probably the worst shawarma I have ever had. It had a sour aftertaste. Its listed ingredients were hummus, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and herbs. I probably should have asked them to hold the pickles but the beef itself tasted sour. I've had beef shawarmas before and none of them tasted like this. And the beef was cooked probably on a flat grill instead of a rotating skewer. I couldn't tell as their kitchen is not visible. Anyhow one and done for me. read more

Im not sure how this place has such high reviews despite being one of the worst establishments i have been to. 1st - food took 30 minutes to come out even all i ordered was a luleh plate while no one else was in there. 2nd- cost $15 for the plate and come with one baby stick of meat. My only gripe is this business charges 4% for credit card usage -- reason why I'm docking 1 star off. You can get around this by ordering on Uber Eats and Grubhub to pick up your order. It included a small salad that had a salad dressing that I wish I could replicate at home, the tastes just exploded my taste buds in a good way. After about 15 minutes we received our food and I was quite excited to try it since it was something I had never tried before. I took one bite of the chicken and rice and instantly started digging into my food. The rice was perfect and tasted similar to cilantro lime rice. The chicken was cooked perfectly and so was the tomato. The tomato and chicken had a bit of char which added an additional flavor to it, including the salad which gave it a refreshing feeling. I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant. The food was so salty. HOWEVER, the guy behind the counter was super nice. We ate here towards the end of the night and had already started mopping the kitchen. Mind you, we were there 1 or 2 before closing. I'm not the type of person to go to a restaurant 20 mins before closing. So while we were eating we would get a whiff of the lemon cleaning scent. Back to the food. My boyfriend and I ordered two separate plates. I got a side of humus and he got a side of french fries so we could share. Humus was alrightttttt and the fries tasted like the a freezer brand from the grocery store. The salad dressing was great. But my meet was so salty!!! Ordered from Postmates today after having this place recommended by someone. I'm glad I tried this place out. I had the beef luleh kabob with the cucumber yogurt. The meat was perfectly flavored as was the rice. The salad was also very good and as mentioned in other reviews, a spring mix rather than romaine lettuce is used (the dressing is also tasty). I love cucumber yogurt and this version was not my favorite. I make a better Mast-o Khiar. So, I would have given this place a 4.5 but since half stars aren't available, I didn't want to deduct a star for a personal preference on a side.
