This is my first visit here. I got the Chicken Kabob and Beef Luleh plate. Both the chicken and beef luleh were filled with flavor. The chicken also had a nice char to it unlike other places. The side of hummus made a nice touch and extra flavors with the dish. You get a lot of food for the price and the meal was to go. I'd recommend this place to friends and family. My boyfriend Ian mentioned one day that the owner Tony of @eaglerockkabob which he always raves about, used to be an executive chef at some fancy restaurant and he bought this place from a friend's dad just a few months prior. Few weeks ago Ian asked me if I wanted to have Valentines day dinner at the kabob house. I was confused. Ian continued, Tony misses planning fancy menus SO much that he is shutting down the restaurant on V-day and is hosting a seated-and-served special dinner service with a an exquisite 7 course meal just for 12 guests. I was blown away by the story and said Yes!!!!!! Last night when we walked into the restaurant, little did we know we were in for a completely different kind of experience. All the menu boards and usual kabob house clutter were gone. In their place were simple and elegant string lights to set a romantic tone and elegantly set candle-lit tables waiting for us. We knew we were in for a treat when the first course arrived. Appetizers were followed by 5 different courses of mini entrees: scallops, pork belly, duck 2 ways, salmon fettuccini and beef cheeks. And finally a tasteful charcuterie plate for dessert. Chef Tony was mixing ingredients we would usually think won't go together. Every single dish was made with a lot of finesse. Well-rounded, rich and meaty dishes cooked to melt-in-your-mouth rich and velvety yumminess. It was like the chef brought those ingredients back from the dead. Each dish was elevated by a creamy and moist sauce that didn't just make the plates look pretty but paired perfectly with the meat and veggies. Wish I had a bottomless pit for a stomach because I definitely wanted more than I could fit. Any other fancy restaurant in LA would have charged us easily in the upwards of $250/person for a meal this good. And still chef Tony would give them fancy chefs a run for their money with just his pork belly. Hands down The best pork belly i've ever had! I've only eaten here once but I was not impressed. I ordered for pickup via an app and was sitting in the parking lot waiting for the notification that my order was ready. I went as soon as the app said it was good to go. They were ready quickly and I picked up my order. The gentleman behind the counter was not wearing a mask. I ordered the Shwarma Fries. They looked a mess but that's to be expected with a loaded fries sort of a dish. The fries themselves were barely warm and soggy. The food came in a black Styrofoam container that was full of condensation inside. The chicken wasn't tasty at all and the textures were all sort of mushy. I ate about three bites and then threw it away and went to get something from another store in the shopping center. Disappointing and I haven't been back. I have been told that the kabobs are good though, so I may have to give it another shot. read more

I was exploring yelp for my next dinner splurge and was reading through these reviews. What really made me want to try this place out was how the reviews consistently mention how Tony seasons the meats well and cooks them to perfection. Those reviews are not wrong. Nothing against Luna Grill, they were in my top favorites, as there was nothing out there that came close to their menu. Until now. Eagle Rock Kabob raised the stakes with their menu. A unique variety of Mediterranean dishes you simply can't find anywhere else. And the main staple dishes are still recognizable, yet slightly different as he adds his delicious signature to it. Chef Tony is passionate about his food. You can taste that in every bite. Tonight I had the privilege to try the roasted beet salad with a chicken kabob add on. And I love it when mix ups happen and get to try something I normally would not have ordered. (Completely my fault. But I'm glad it happened). I meant to get the tabuleh and probably pronounced it wrong. I think what I got was the chicken lulu (I probably spelled that wrong too). Hands down the best Kabob/Mediterranean place in Eagle Rock right now. You know the food was good when you eat all the rice. And the customer service was impeccable. Tony's attitude and energy was warm and welcoming. The experience felt personalized for my husband and I which is always a nice feeling when walking into an establishment. The customer service is great and the restaurant is clean. We ordered Frankie's fix - a little messy but super delicious, especially is you're looking to indulge. Luleh and beef kabob plate - tender and juicy, super flavorful. Pork belly skewer - this was fantastic. Some pieces were really fatty but the meaty pieces were drool worthy. Mezze trio - comes with pita bread and marinaded green olives + 3 sides. We picked grape leaves, quinoa tabouleh and grilled vegetable salad. Great spot to get very flavorful, well seasoned kabobs, kids had beef and chicken kabobs, wife and I had beef and chicken kabob plates. Chocolate chips were delicious! Saw review from someone and had to try it, it truly was awesome, very moist and chewy! If you love dogshit food at premium prices, then run to this place. It's especially awful. They don't know how to make fries, their chicken is weird and chewy, their yogurt and cucumber sauce is NOT tzatziki but some weird stringer sour cream-like goo, and they'll even take one Roma tomato and char it for 2 seconds on a grill and add it to your dish like it's something fucking special. I don't know how it has so many good reviews unless they bus a bunch of captive retirees from a nursing home and steal their phones to write the reviews themselves. read more

This place is a gem. It's in the Sprouts shopping center in Eagle Rock. The owner and chef, Tony, is the real deal. Everything here is made with care. My favorite thing is the Salmon plate. At one point I had it for dinner 4 days in a row. The mustard and dill dipping sauce together with the salmon and rice is unreal . Very few folks can cook salmon correctly. Always dry and useless. Tony gets it perfect every time. There were big chocolate chip cookies on the counter and the had massive chunks on them. I asked if that was chocolate and he said " yeah 4 different kinds of chocolate .... because it's a chocolate chip cookie. " It's nice to know someone still cares. read more

I thought this place was okay, it didn't blow my mind but it wasn't terrible. I've always seen this spot when I'm running errands at CVS and Sprouts and finally decided to try it one day during Covid times. The interior of course was all cleaned up and most tables and chairs were pushed aside and stacked up since indoor dining wasn't allowed at the time. I just walked up to place my order for the chicken luleh kabob plate, since it was made to order the guy told me it would take at least 10 minutes. This was fine since I wanted to check out some things at CVS. I came back about 10 minutes later but it wasn't ready yet so just chilled on one of the chairs for another few minutes. I did like that it was fresh like that. The presentation of the food was nice, very clean. But I have to say that the luleh kabob which is essentially the main star of this dish was not as flavorful as some of the other places I've been. It was a little bland which was disappointing. The rest of the sides were fine (hummus) etc... Not sure if I would be back since there are literally so many Kabob places to eat in the nearby Glendale area that have a bit more flavor going on. read more

I went here the other day and I ordered a Beef Kabob plate with a side of chicken and a side of pork belly. Let me tell you it was emasculate!!! Tender all around! The beef was flavorful, chicken was flavorful and the pork belly....SHEEESH soo good! I ran out of rice that came with the meal and I had to make some more at home just so I could eat the pork belly properly lolz Met the owner and he is a real stand up guy and gave great customer service!
