For those that don't know, a p trap repair is pretty heavy work that requires demo-ing most of the shower, if not all. When the gentleman with sewer view came out, he not only helped us determine that our drain was fine (saw it on the camera), and he helped clean out our p trap, as well as helped looked for a drain part! He was fantastic, truly the best. He was knowledgeable, polite, clean, and really went above and beyond the scope of work. If everyone that works at sewer view was like this gentleman, then I can't recommend them enough. They helped us save close to $10k in repairs. The inspector completed the inspection and delivered a report, but afterwards I discovered several concerning conditions I believe were present and visible at the time of the inspection, but were not mentioned in the report These include: * Cracks in the front brick veneer * Multiple hairline drywall cracks in interior walls * A noticeably uneven front entry door/frame * Uneven crawlspace beam support posts and brackets I had a structural engineer and two foundation professionals evaluate the home. They found that many of these issues had been caused by foundation settling and their consensus was that, although the issues were not severely critical, they were still very significant and should definitely have been flagged in the inspection report. I've needed to take steps with significant financial cost to address these problems before they get worse. I contacted the company with photos and these evaluations. They did offer a refund of the inspection fee ($525), the maximum listed in their contract, but I chose not to accept it because of the additional restrictions it came with. I am very disappointed that so many important conditions were not included in the inspection report even though I feel they were easy to identify and I regret the significant financial expense that I've had to face because of this.

Thankfully our agent is working to have the damage repaired. Ben had my cell and my husband's cell and never called for permission to put holes in my ceiling. Their agent could have called ours to also get in touch to discuss this invasive process. That also never happened. I've sold and bought homes and have never heard of anything being damaged on purpose like this. I literally had to question if his license was real. I looked him up and it is, but in doing so, read the home inspectors "Standards of Practice" and no where did it say this was a standard practice. In addition, I had to pop home to let my son change clothes and witnessed Ben moving my furniture to open a window. I wasn't aware inspectors were allowed to touch our personal property. I guess if you are willing to put holes in a ceiling without asking, what is a little furniture moving? Ben was nice enough, but I can't overlook doing things without getting the owner's permission.

And we were recommended to buy a radon detector from Amazon! A reputable radon company should stand by their work and ensure safety standards are met before walking away with nearly $1,000 of the customer's money. Accuserve assigned Pioneer Home Solutions to our repairs. It took over a year to get a new standard-size window! Pioneer Home Solutions failed to fulfill its obligations with Accuserve and consistently submitted inaccurate bids to our insurance company. They refused to complete the work until they received additional money from our insurance company, who agreed to pay them more money. When I called Pioneer to schedule the job, they refused to do the work because they still wanted more money! The owner called us with Jayme Woodey and asked us to tell Accuserve the work was done so they could get paid. They essentially held hostage for more money. Pioneer Home Solutions displayed a complete lack of organization and professionalism throughout the process. They didn't care my teenage daughter was sleeping in a room that was easily accessible without a window! They were more concerned with making a profit than completing the job efficiently and effectively. Ultimately, we had to find another contractor to finish the job properly, which cost us even more time. As I mentioned, getting a new standard-size window took over a year! I strongly advise against hiring Pioneer Home Solutions, as their incompetence and lack of professionalism made our experience a complete nightmare.

State Farm later dropped our coverage and Pioneer Home Solutions has yet to complete the work after over a year. Pioneer stated they will not complete the job until they get more money. The crazy thing is the check was written to us and to Pioneer and they refused to endorse it. The owner sat on the check for over 2 months. They needed to sign the check and send it to the mortgage company to get more funds. This is common practice and something this company should know. We will be contacting our mortgage company and insurance adjuster to let them know we will need to hire someone else to complete the work. We will NEVER use this company again.
