Absolutely excellent service on a busy Sunday Brunch/Lunch time from Kelly. The hostesses (young ladies) were great, too and everyone was working hard and as a team. My friend and I enjoyed our meal so much including the classic French Dip and the "Happy Waitress" - basically an open-faced grilled cheese with bacon and tomato. It made me a "Happy customer". Delicious onions rings, too. I great "classic" diner with a big salad bar (we did not have it this visit) and 3 soups daily. The mini matzoh balls were so cute and tasty. The menu is very extensive, lots to choose from. The salad bar looked like a good deal and it had a wide selection too, but since we went for lunch, we got sandwiches, which had generous portions enough for a good lunch. I got the corned beef sandwich, and the coleslaw accompanied the thick slices of meat pretty nicely. But I think I enjoyed the fries more, which were very crispy. I tried both the sweet potato fries and waffle fries upgrade, and the sweet potato fries are pretty addicting. The place can get packed for the weekends, but service is quick. The inside is surprisingly clean despite the crowds and the American eagle theme everywhere makes you want to salute the flag. read more

I really like the turkey club here and it is only about twelve bucks. You can add the salad bar for a little bit more if you are really hungry. I had the prime rib dip and I would get it again. It was definitely not a mind blowing sandwich but it was good enough that I would get it again. I like the French onion soup , very good but they seem to like to overcook it so ask for them to not cook it too much. The fiber atmosphere is great for people watching and the desert case is amazing. If you get the salad bar you won't have room for desert but maybe get something to go! The last few visits we have been disappointed with their soups , not a fan of their cream based soups but have had many good soups over the years. You should be able to find at least one soup you will like . The breakfasts are also really good , pancakes are my all time favorite! read more

Worst Diner i have ever been too. This is what i ordered on the menu and then this is what I received. Where in the menu does it say that the whole kitchen sink is on your plate? It didn't come with any bread and instead of just meatballs and pasta it came out with every vegetable you could ever think of. How could this diner possibly mess up this bad. Also look at the pasta. They dont even know how to cook pasta, it was just crumbles. They should have a "worst diner in America" sign on their window because they truly would live up to that name. First of all, I've never had a bad meal here. Anything I've ever had has been tasty and feels homemade. Today I had their special, Chicken Pot Pie. Delish once again. I didn't partake in too much of the ample salad bar today because the pot pie was such a large serving. Today's server, young Mary, was pleasant and returned with my order including special requests to the T. Great job, Mary! Ambiance is standard to almost upscale for a diner experience. We have been there several times and all was usually very good. But not this Friday. We walked in and waiting next to three girls that appeared to be waiting to seat customers. A young thin girl with a Russian accent turned to us and said "stand to the side to allow customers to enter"!. We moved to the side and she took the pager away from them and asked one of the girls to seat them. She kept talking to the girls for a few minutes but never addressed us. After several minutes I finally walked up to them and asked if they were going to take our names or what happens now. She grabbed pager and shoved it at me and never asked how many. Not being sure what to do, we just stood off to the side and waited. A minute later, she asked us to follow her and she escorted us to a section that had 6 open 2 person tables. Why we had to wait is still a good question. The waitress was great and the food and salad bar as good as usual. Tried to have Yankee Pot Roast, it was completely inedible, every piece of "meat" was 75% fat and had the texture of jello. Looked like something that had been previously swallowed. They partially missed the bowl and it was spilled all over the plate below it. It was a level of presentation that looked like a drunk at Golden Corral barely made it back to the table on his feet. Ordered mashed potatoes as a side and got sweet potato covered in gravy (didn't know that was a thing). After clearly seeing I didn't eat any of my food, all the waiter asked me is if I wanted desert. Went up to pay the bill and hostess still didn't even ask if my dinner was ok, perhaps they already knew how it was. Wife got riblets and they were at least edible. Won't go back if I'm looking for human food, I've been there before and it was acceptable, but between the choice of meat for the roast and the fact that the first two bowls I picked up for soup at the salad bar had huge chips missing (and I saw more that were the same), I have questions about the judgement of management. The thing that really struck me was the fact that while I was at my table, I could hear the employees in the owner upfront, talking and laughing like they were all happy to be there and work for him. It was worth the wait for the table, when they kept increasing prices but the past two times I've been there the food has been terrible! Today I ordered a salad, was very specific of what I wanted on it due to a food allergy & it came with the ingredient on it, I asked them to remake the salad, they did not, just removed the item (but not fully). I had both breakfast and dinner at the Eagle this past week and in comparison to the competing diners very near my commute in and out of the area, the Eagle diner was a big disappointment. For breakfast my eggs were overcooked and the portion of the potatoes was below average and quite bland. For dinner my entree looked like a plate of food you would see in a cafeteria and whatever they use to make their mash potatoes has a sour taste. The salad bar was a waste, anyone can do chicken noodle but the Navy bean was like baked beans from a can and lacked any homemade flavor. The bread was stale and the lettuce just plain iceberg....no big deal. I enjoy breakfast so much better right down the road at the competitor for the same price, and dinner a little further with a diner that has a smaller salad bar but better quality items. Standard american diner with some greek options. Plenty of parking and a standard ambiance. A plethora of menu options with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and daily specials. I got a turkey, bacon, avocado, and tomato sandwich and it was pretty good. It was rather difficult to eat as it fell apart a lot but what can you do about that. The turkey was a little dry but the other toppings were good. I also got to try the house salad which was as standard and typical as they come. The reason for the low rating is the wait staff. Our waiter was very rude to my party. When making our order, we were scoffed at and told that one of the items ordered was difficult to prepare (mind you we made no alterations, it was a standard menu item). When asking for butter to put on a waffle, we were also scoffed at. Not once were we offered water and we all ran out. We didn't reflect this in the tip, but everyone left disappointed with the establishment. read more

I would eat anything and not care but this was gross. The waitress agreed that it did not look edible. My friend and I ate lunch here today. His entree was supposed to include "soup, salad & one vegetable." He was told he needed to choose between a soup and a salad -- couldn't have both despite what was listed on the menu. My entree came with soup. I offered him my soup, and said I would take his salad. When the bill came, I was charged $12 extra for a salad -- because I ate the salad, not my friend. By this logic, if my friend ate one of my french fries, he would be charged for an order of french fries because he did not order them. The server never told me that it would be an extra $12 for 3 small pieces of lettuce, 4 croutons and 2 peach slices (which is what I got from the salad bar). The cashier ended up reducing the upcharge to $7. Honestly, this is not about the money -- it is about the principle. We left a $10 cash tip on a $44 order. We eat out a lot, and this is the first time I have seen this situation. Needless to say, we won't be back. If you do go here, make sure that you keep an eye on your bill -- and don't take a bite of your friend's food lest you get charged extra! read more

The food left much to be desired; it was bland and lacked proper seasoning, failing to tantalize my taste buds. Additionally, while the salad bar was visibly open, (10:38am) I was informed by the owner that I couldn't access it until 11 am, citing a seemingly arbitrary rule without any explanation other than a curt "that's how we do it, brother." Such dismissive and unaccommodating behavior left a sour taste in my mouth, figuratively speaking. Needless to say, I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and I've never been disappointed. This place really is a great little diner. The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is always good. I usually go for some kind of wrap or sandwich, but their breakfasts are really good as well. One of the stand out features here is the salad bar which is a must have addition to your meal! I don't find myself going out of my way very often to want soup, but the soup they put out here on the salad bar is always full of flavor. First time, last time. Waitress was so slow coming to take the order as well as after a complaint that the kitchen did not cook our hash browns a certain way never came back. I had a breakfast combo and wasn't asked for a Juice and what kind of toast. So when she came with the food which took almost 20 minutes is when I realized she had not asked what I wanted of either. Meanwhile the help was using a strong cleaner to such an extent I couldn't eat my meal until the smell dissipated. We waited twenty minutes for the waitress to get the check and was seriously disappointed that we had to chase her down to get it. Her excuse was shift change and she just forgot about us.
