I love good boba, and I love a good tea shop even more. My go to downtown tea shop was impossible to find parking for, so I stopped by E Tea to mix things up. Parking was definitely easier, but the experience was not what I had hoped for. The staff wasn't very welcoming, and I had a few questions about the tea menu. The lady on the other side of the counter kept walking away, and I finally just placed my order. I was rather surprised, as I had been here before for an event ( which was great), which is why I returned this time. I ordered the fresh taro with boba. I found the taste to be off, and it had a pungent taste, something that I'm not accustomed to tasting with taro. I also ordered the black sugar milk tea for my mini me. I took a sip, and was equally as unimpressed with it. It definitely tasted better than the fresh taro, but not omg I need more of this. The interior is still on the verge of looking boarded up, or going out of business. It's not. It's how they've been rolling for the last few years. The prices are the same as other tea houses. I'm not sure that I go out of my way to stop by here again, especially when there are so many tea shops with better tea, and much better service.
Staff was super friendly. It is tucked inside the same space as vegan deadly sins. They're menu is extensive and oat milk is the default milk. The Thai tea wasn't super sweet, which I liked. Would definitely go back for a beverage.
This darn COVID has sure changed the world as we know it. Local downtown Sacramento neighborhood businesses have been knocked about. First with the civil demonstrations and then losing their bulk of customers to teleworking. I started to re-visit my local downtown lunch haunts, I visited E Tea a few days ago. E Tea is a boba tea shop AND vegan eatery located on the corner of 14th Street and I Street. It's across the street from the Memorial Auditorium, a block away from the Sacramento Convention Center, and in the other direction a block away from the Wells Fargo Pavillon ( old Music Circus). I dropped in recently to grab weekday lunch. The staff was awesome, very welcoming. I haven't been here in over a year and a half, so I was totally stoked to see that they added a vegan menu. It was impressive. Lots of choices. I ordered General Tso chicken plate and a vegan Thai iced tea with boba. I didn't want the tea to be made with half & half so I asked the cashier for his recommendation on milk options. He recommended soy rather than oat or almond. It was delicious, I couldn't tell that it was non dairy. I asked for my order to go. They do have an indoor dining area as well. Let me tell you, I'm not a vegan or vegetarian. So when I tasted the "chicken" ... by golly I was impressed that it looked and tasted just like chicken! Even the tactile texture was spot on. The General Tso sauce was flavorful and they even mellowed the heat down on the sauce for me as I requested. Customer service is top notch here! The bowl was topped with green salad, pickled cabbage and served with brown rice. Yum! It was a pretty good serving size. Plus they gave a complimentary fried spring roll. That little sucker was tasty. Crisp golden fried exterior and the shredded veggies were seasoned really well. One of the best I've ever tasted. I'm still thinking about it as I write this. Yum! As I mentioned, this shop is located in downtown. This ain't the suburbs. So there is no private parking lot, it's street and metered parking. It's not a cutsie over the top destination spot. When I was figuring out what rating to use with my review, I thought to myself, is this place an asset to the neighborhood? Does it have good food? Is the customer service good? Is the pricing good? The answer to all of them was an outstanding YES! And change the word " good" to "excellent "! #downtownsacramentoweekdaylunch
I've been staring at E Tea from the tap room across the street, telling myself I need to try it, for months. Usually it was while drinking beer and eating chicken wings, so bubble tea didn't seem like a very good paring. Anyway, I finally put down the alcohol and fried food to make a stop. I really wish I had before. The staff was really cool and the bubble tea was delicious. They have a collection of One Piece anime posters hanging in the shop, so I asked an employee about them. He proceeded to geek out on anime while I was waiting for my tea, which turned into a good conversation. I'm an anime nerd, so it's nice to meet a kindred spirit once in a while... Not that I had to wait very long for my drink. My mango slush drink arrived quickly. It tasted like fresh perfectly ripened mango. For real! It was just like a nice juicy mango I bought in Hawaii one time. There was a good sized serving of chewy boba at the bottom. The best part, it had a heat-welded plastic film on top for a lid. The fun kind you can jab with the giant pointy straws when you drink them. It made for a great stop. I was really impressed. I'll definitely be back to jab some more drinks!
Stumbled across this place while I was working in the area, as it goes when you see boba shops you crave it so I had to check it out. Had no idea it was a vegan spot which was super cool to find out while ordering I had dairy free options. I decided to try out some chow mein as well for the occasion and I was happy I did for how quick service this spot seemed to be it was restaurant quality. Good flavor and the noodles were nice and thick with crunchy veggies. I will be back to check out more of the menu soon !
This little spot was pretty neat to stop in at. While on a "let's try new vegan spots" adventure today. This was stop #1. My daughter was attracted to the Cow sign on the building, as she LOVES cows and she is also Vegan. Clean and small location with a great friendly staff. They offer a pretty good sized vegan menu. We chose the Sweet n Sour "chicken" options. Very flavor in covering up the "vegan" side of things. Had pineapple & bell peppers. We also ordered 2 of their drink options. I had the mango green tea and she had the Thai tea with almond milk n boba They were great in letting my daughter know, that lol f she had any questions to let them know and that they could accommodate her in her drink order as well. I'm sure we will be returning here our next trip to Sacramento more options for us to try out
On the first bracket I vote E Tea. 900 15th St, Sacramento, CA 95814 You can get a reusable bottle or recyclable cup with a plastic lid heat set on. Low waste. I like this better then the double lid by their competitors. Cute isn't going to save the earth. The decor is minimal due to prior riots and future protests. Menus are above the register. There are many drink and food options. I ordered the mango smoothie. I took the standard sweetness and it was perfect. It was smooth, no ice chunks. It was so tasty and the perfect size, there is only one size. I wi be back. We also ordered the fried egg rolls. Very crunchy. They include a sauce. They hit the spot. Enclosed were 2 complementary sesame balls. I'd order them again. They were warm and perfectly toasty and filled with just the right amount of bean paste
I came along this place because of Yelp! Thanks Yelp boba bracket. Lol. Never once have I heard about this place and was pretty excited to find out it was not too far from my work. So definitely had to share their goods with my coworkers. Surprised that this place had only 3.5 stars, by the service I got--I received everything in a timely manner and the people was very nice. The Winnie the Pooh wasn't sweet, and the taro & brown sugar was just right. I loved how it came with their signature cup for just 50 cents extra. Definitely will be back!
Chow mein was absolutely delicious! Big portion and very fast despite being pretty busy, and the prices were reasonable for what we ordered. Winnie the Pooh was also good, I was hesitant because they only serve green tea which I don't favor, but the strawberry and mango overpowered it and the drink was really good. My friend ordered the matcha milk tea which was nothing too special but not bad. The wall of One Piece wanted posters was an adorable addition. Would not recommend sitting by the doors because there was a cold rush every time it was opened but aside from that the tables were all nice and clean! A good place to grab a drink and some food near the SAFE Credit con center
We finally got to check this place out for the Boba Bracket, after driving by many times admiring the cow logo! We got the Thai tea smoothie with almond milk (not fully non dairy as the smoothie has vanilla ice cream, which I thankfully can have) and the matcha milk tea with egg pudding. I liked that my Thai tea was not too sweet at the 50% sweetness level and my BF said the egg pudding gave a nice cereal milk flavor to his matcha. We appreciated the friendly staff, cute cow decor, and spacious interior.
First of all....For all the reviews that mentioned the boarded up windows, thank you!!! I would have been so lost without y'all!! I found this store with no problem since I knew what to look for! Now onto my review! I stopped by E Tea after work for a nice treat after a long work week. E Tea is store #10 of 16 I have visited part of the Boba Bracket. They have a deal with check in that you show to the cashier. E Tea is on the corner of I St/15th St. The woman at the register was helpful and was knowledgeable of all the drinks. Any drink can be made vegan!! Also, drinks can be adjusted with the level of sweetness to your heart's content except the Winnie The Pooh. I went with the Matcha Milk tea with boba (#5) with almond milk. Not sweet (my choice) , but, didn't skimp on the matcha flavor! It was a nice drink!! The woman tells me they have lunch specials, when I was browsing the Vegan Deadly Sins menu. Everything looked and sounded appetizing, but, I really was craving some vegan pizza!! They were out of take home menus at the moment. I'm going to make a visit to return this weekend to try out their food!! Cannot wait! Covid19 precautions: no indoor/outdoor dining, employees wear masks, masks are required before entering, sanitizer available by the register and at the pick up counter. Despite the wooden boards, the decor they had going inside was cute with the mini cows and their boba board. I will return!
My neighborhood boba spot. I love stopping by for a to-go drink when I have a craving. Quick service, and they have a rewards card (10 punches for a free drink - I'm on 8!). Not the best boba I've ever had, but it's reasonable for the price, location, and (my personal) convenience.
Yelp Sacramento's Boba Bracket Voting is already done for the Boba Bracket and there is a winner but we were still able to enjoy the 25% off deal until the end of March so with 3 more days to go until March 31st we made our way to Sacramento today. The outside isn't attractive. The shop has fully boarded up their windows to prevent theft but it's what's in the inside that counts. Enter using the side door. Hubby's free boba drink from the Boba Bracket was from E Tea. He chose Winnie the Pooh between the two drinks. I chose to have the Coconut Paradise using the 25% off Yelp check-in deal. We asked if they could substitute the lychee jelly with boba and they were happy to do it for us. The drinks would've been perfect if they were blended but neither hubby nor I forgot to ask about it. After getting our drinks hubby and I switched... now I had the Winnie the Pooh drink (made with mango milk layered w/ strawberry green tea). The fruity treat was delicious with just the right sweetness for me. The drinks were not as cold as we would like them to be, though, but still good. Too bad I couldn't make adjustments on the sweetness level and ice on the mango drinks. The two young gals were friendly and helpful and we had a pleasant experience here... would love to come back for #24 next time (mocha coffee smoothie w/ boba). Review #2163

E Tea continues to be a solid spot for fruit and vegan milk teas. For the milk teas they offer oat milk automatically, but you can also get almond milk or soy milk. They're in the same building as Vegan Deadly Sins and share the cash wrap/staff there. You can order from both businesses at once on the same bill. I ordered a passionfruit tea ($5.50) and a Winnie the Pooh (strawberry and mango) ($5.50). They have some really fun names for their drinks, the Winnie the Pooh one is red on top and an orangey yellow on the bottom before you stir it so it looks like Pooh colors! There is plenty of seating in the restaurant and they have really cute decor as well. I love their logo and the neon cow with the spaceship on the wall- such a fun little photo op. The building is at 15th and J which means street parking, but there is plenty of it in the area, including a few free spots around the corner. read more
Originally the companion business to Super Pan now companion to Vegan Deadly Sins. They had to make some changes and made their menu fully vegan. Most of the drinks have a base of oat milk but there a options such as soy milk and almond milk, just ask the the staff about the options as they are always willing to help. Our go to drinks is the Mocha Smoothie and Coconut Mango slushy. This business has been through Hell and back, with windows broken serval times by vandals and rioters thus the occasional boarded up windows. A short walk from the Sacramento Convention Center and right across the street from Memorial Auditorium, its a great place for a tasty treat. read more

If you can get past the boarded up, graffiti-laden windows , you will be rewarded some good boba tea! A friendly staff welcomed us in as we scanned the menu board. I ordered the "winnie the pooh," (strawberry green tea layered with mango milk tea and lychee jelly but subbed boba for the jelly. It had great flavor and the right amount of sweetness (asked for less sweet). It could've used more ice, as it wasn't that cold, so I will adjust that next time. We were the only customers in at the time so our drinks were ready quickly. The space is shared with the Super Pan restaurant to the right, but E Tea also has their own snack food/appetizer menu. Esthetically it's not the cutest boba shop inside nor out for sure, but solid choice in the downtown area when that boba craving hits. read more

I've been to E-Tea and Super Pan several times since my last review. They really should merge their Yelp listings especially since most order boba and food here to make it less confusing when reviewing. Anyhow, the service has improved considerably. The food and drinks come out quickly and the servers are very attentive. They offered to bring out additional sauces with our food when we asked for additional servings. The milk tea float is probably my favorite on the menu and believe it or not, it pairs well together. What's a better spot to get boba and Japanese food? Parking isn't too terrible in this part of downtown either. read more
I came here largely because of the boba bracket. There is street parking right out front and there was enough spaces when I went on a saturday. I ordered the passion fruit tea with 50% sweetness. Honestly, I could hardly taste the tea and the passion fruit flavor was also kinda lacking (although I could assume that's because I asked for less sugar). I wouldn't order that drink again. However, my brother ordered the black sugar milk drink and he thoroughly enjoyed it. It looked good, but I didn't try it. Service was timely and the lady taking my order was very nice. read more

On a mission to try any place that serves proper milk tea with boba, I stopped by E Tea a few weeks ago on a extremely hot day. Parking is limited, but I was lucky enough to find an open space one block away. Metered parking is always a pain, but that's the price of hanging downtown. E Tea is located on a corner lot, that I think used to be a Sushi joint. I walked in to a rush of cool air- thank goodness- and made my way around the crowded tables to the tea area. It is cute and clean with a slight modern edge...and E Tea also houses a restaurant that serves noodles. The tea menu was on the wall above the counter, with a variety of options, making me pause for a minute to read my choices. For some reason, the fact that I wanted to check out the menu seemed to annoy the two workers by the register. I was asked if I wanted to eat, and I said no thank you, I would like a tea. The young girl immediately asked, what do you want? I have never been here before, I replied, I will check out the menu. The two workers looked at eachother and walked away. I really only needed a minute....not as in, "it's been a MINUTE" like the kids say. I walked to the other side counter when no one came back and ordered my tea from another young man. The original girl reappeared and scolded me for not ordering at the register area. How was I supposed to order if she was not around? Cash was exchanged and I went back to the side counter to wait for my drink. There was some sort of delay. I am not sure what went down, but a long discussion was taking place and the young man was holding my cup while the conversation continued. After a few minutes, he began to scoop boba, and stopped to "discuss" something with his co-worker. When he finally went back to the cup he never put in the extra boba I paid for. Then he left the cup and walked away. At this point, I am getting antsy...I have only a few minutes left on my short term meter. I was the only customer waiting for a drink, so I sat down to wait. By the time my tea was finished I had spent over 15 minutes waiting. There was no line. It was one tea. When I saw how little boba was at the bottom, I told the young man that I paid for double boba. He told me it was the right amount. Seriously? I gave up. I had to go or risk a parking ticket and being late for my appointment. The tea and milk ratio was good, but the flavor was very light, like a watered down tea. The Boba was good, perfect round chewy orbs, but IF the amount in the cup is what they consider double, then they are incredibly stingy. The price was similar to other tea places, but I noticed the cup was a few ounces smaller. I'm not sure if this warrants another visit, but you never know, I may have a boba emergency someday in this part of town. read more
E Tea is an excellent place for milk tea. I especially like the fact that there are big menus that detail what kinds of drinks you can order. I usually look for something around what I feel like at the time and then make a couple changes so that it matches my exact taste. The drink I had today was called the almond queen. I LOVE almond flavored stuff and this thing had almond flavored milk with almond pudding and boba! I don't think I've seen something like this at other places (thought they may have it). I decided to go with it and kick out the boba. Overall it was an excellent drink. My only qualm with the drink was the ice that was blended in. It gave the entire drink a slightly rough texture. Nothing that ruined the drink, but I think I would have definitely preferred a smoother experience. There were lots of other fun drinks that I would love to try out. I think coming here with the idea to mod something on the menu is the way to go. It's easy for them to do and be totally satisfied with whatever you get! Besides boba, there is a food place pretty much connected to E Tea which serves up fun Asian dishes. I didn't get a chance to eat there today, but my curiosity is definitely peaked! read more
E Tea offers a unique menu that offers different options some may be used to at typical boba places. The Strawberry Yakult Fruit Tea is a great choice for anyone that enjoys fruit flavored drinks. It's light, refreshing, and you can definitely taste the strawberry flavor. Knowing there's Yakult it in makes it a healthy option for its probiotics. The House Milk Tea was off-putting for me. It tasted a tad bitter. The boba pearls were a little on the harder side and made me wish I didn't get it. Street parking is available. Do note this place is next to a couple bars and could make parking harder on some nights. read more
Boba bracket winner for a reason!!!! Great place with friendly, prompt service. Their Winnie the Pooh was fantastically beautiful and so refreshing. It was sweet but not cloyingly. I would definitely order this again. The lychee jelly was a perfect match for this drink. The Vietnamese coffee boba was nice and strong, just the way it's supposed to be, not watered down, not even with the ice!! The drinks are affordable and with the discounts; winner!! There's options of vegetarian food and other hot entrees! The pictures look enticing!! Maybe next time I'll order food. Overall, I highly recommend E Tea to everyone who loves boba! You won't be disappointed!! read more
This is a good solid choice for boba in the area. They have a great menu with lots of creative options. We got the thai tea and coconut paradise and both drinks were very good. My lychee jelly had good flavor as well as delicious coconut flavor. However, I ordered my drink with almond milk (can't have dairy) and they almost used regular milk in my drink. Thankfully I was watching them make it and was able to stop them before they put the wrong milk in. They have soy and almond milks for non-dairy options. I wish they also offered coconut milk. I will be coming back to try more drinks. We came on a weekend and metered parking was plentiful. read more
Yay for a new boba place! There aren't very many downtown so they definitely picked a good location. Hopefully they'll stick around for a while! When we walked in, there were no other customers but plenty of workers. They were very friendly and helpful. The menu here has so many yummy drinks, without being too overwhelming! We wanted to order everything (which we will, we're definitely coming back!) but we were able to try a handful of drinks today: Winnie the Pooh, Black Sesame Milk Tea, M&M, and Jasmine Tea with Tiramisu Salted Cheese. They were all yummy in different ways! The Winnie the Pooh was the most refreshing: a strawberry and mango combo with yummy toppings. The black sesame milk tea is definitely better with regular sweetness and it's an acquired taste for most. The M&M, a mango and matcha combo was overwhelmingly mango so I wish there was more of a matcha flavor but it was still refreshing, best over regular ice. And finally the jasmine tea was super yummy, probably better with regular salted cheese instead of the tiramisu version but it still worked! E Tea is also connected to Super Pan, with various cast iron dishes, so this is a great spot to get food and a drink in one visit! read more

My drink was aaabbbsooolluuutttllyyy deeelliuccoouuse!!!!!! I had the almond queen with almond milk least sugar and no ice with extra almond jelly less boba. My friend had the black tea with passion fruit half sweet. That drink was aaabbssooolluutttllyy again! Delicious ! I think it's the best fruit tea I have ever had due to me being able to taste more tea than flavor and the passion fruit was fresh and the sourness of it balanced with the sweetness of the black tea. The tea was strong like how I love it. I will be back to try all the snacks as well as the Super Pan dine in side!!! It was very clean in there as it should be and staff were super nice, patient and informative. read more
I've been waiting for this place to open for a while now - finally a bubble tea place in the northern part of midtown! We went today and there were so many great drink options at great prices. $3.50 for the plastic cup and $4 for the plastic bottle (reusable and you get a 10% discount if you bring it in for your future drinks so I'll be doing that). The drinks are fun, creative and there's a lot of options. However, the drinks we got were "pre-made" meaning we could not adjust the sugar levels, thus it was not as nice as other bubble tea places where you can automatically adjust the sugars and ice levels on *all* of the drinks. I wish it were possible because the drinks we got were really good, just way too sweet. I'll definitely be coming here to try all the ones where we can adjust the sugars though. Another constructive feedback for the business would be to make it clear which drinks are available to adjust the sugar levels. Hopefully that change will make it easier for those of us trying to watch our carb/sugar intake. Either way, I'm excited for this new place in the neighborhood! read more
Decided to grab boba right after we finished eating next door at super pan. I was unsure what to try since there's a huge selection of drinks. We decided to get guava green tea with boba and no aloe and a matcha shake with salted cheese. I wasn't too crazy about the drinks and probably wouldn't come back if I had a craving for boba. Finally Midtown Sac has a boba shop long after I've moved away. I think every neighborhood should have a boba spot and this one was alright. They have a good selection of drink options and toppings and service was really friendly. I ordered the matcha milk tea with boba instead of red bean. They blended the ice in like a smoothie rather than putting in ice cubes. Personally I prefer the cubes rather than slush. It came with pudding which was very egg-like in flavor and sweet. It's more firm than most puddings and is very strong in taste, not my favorite. The boba was good though, pretty chewy and sweet. The matcha flavor didn't really impressed me, but I'm sure some of their other flavors are better. Very good prices though, $4 for a drink with two toppings included, great value! Now I must admit that I've fairly easy to please when it comes to Boba-related drinks and I usually have no complaints, ever. But after a recent trip to Super Pan (which E tea is connected to) we decided to give this place a try, I was surprisingly more impressed than expected! I've never ordered a coffee flavored boba drink but this time around it was calling my name, being a big coffee drinker it definitely caught my eye. The picture attached to this review is of their Coffee Milk Tea with Boba and Coffee Jelly, it contains both black tea and roasted coffee. What I liked most about this drink is that it actually provided the caffeine boost I was looking for while tasting great. The drink was fairly priced at 3.99 too, some places I've been to charge upwards of $5 for drinks like this. I'll definitely be back. read more
Super excited about a new boba place within walking distance from my job!! I visited E Tea on their opening day and ordered the Winnie The Pooh in a bottle. I ordered it with no ice but they gave me ice anyway. Given that it's their first day, the staff were still trying to grasp their responsibilities and learn how to use the register. It took them 10 mins to figure out how to punch in my order. I'm hopeful that services will improve overtime. The drink was okay. I didn't like the little mango pieces at the bottom, but it's a pretty drink though. read more

My first experience with E Tea was in San Francisco and was ecstatic to find out that they have one here. I love the taste of coffee and they have these coffee jelly that no other boba place has and that's enough to keep me a fan! Yep! It's the simple things in life! read more

I mean...it's close to work. Should that be the only reason I chose to go here? It's not the service, which is adequate, but really not friendly? I almost feel like they just want us to leave rather than ring us up for boba drinks. And the worst part of it is the confusing ass menu. Why is there an item for every single style and addon of drink? It should be: 1) Liquid base - Teas, milk, almond milk, etc 2) ice, no ice, blended 3) Addons: Boba, jelly, pudding, etc 4) Sweetness if that's an option But if I ask for one thing on the menu, just make it like that rather than recommend something else that's similar but still not make it like the menu says! read more
