I ordered the American Dream Roll and the Tan Tan Ramen to go. The roll was okay- I couldn't taste any lobster and topping had somewhat turned to mush. The ramen had the right elements, but the broth needed more flavor and was not hot enough to break down the noodles enough to separate. For the price point, so had higher expectations.

Came to town for the Indiana Fever Game. Wanted to grab a bite afterwards and E Sushi was near our hotel. When we approached the restaurant a worker was outside and encouraged us to come in and to take a look at the menu. We decided to give it a try and what a delight. Rósela was friendly and informative. We ordered the Sake Bomb for 2 and she showed us how it is done! The edamame, dumplings, fried rice and sushi roll were all very good. I'd go back and recommend it.

Food was amazing! We were in Indy for the PRI show and I wanted to find a good sushi restaurant to have a light bite. And I wish I could say I tried more rolls than the two I got.... They were absolutely delicious!! If you're in the area, it is worth the trip. Best sushi I've had was in Seattle and this came up right alongside it. Worth the trip and the service was phenomenal. Will definitely be back next year! I wish this business lots of success in the years to come! Also, restaurant was clean and tidy!

Great atmosphere and an easy walk from anywhere downtown, I walked all the way from the JW Marriott. Every was fresh and very tasty. The Maki comdo came with miso soup and a few little appetizers (mushroom, marinated tofu and seaweed salad). Definitely recommend.

Just keep in mind that if you fail, the bowl is pretty expensive, so be ready for that. Still, even with the price, the quality makes it worth it. The decor is also really impressive. The atmosphere feels cozy, modern, and authentic, making it a great spot whether you're dining casually or taking on the challenge. Everything is clean, well-kept, and designed with a lot of thought. Even though I didn't beat the challenge, the food and overall experience were fantastic. I'd easily come back just for a regular bowl of ramen. Highly recommend this spot for ramen lovers and anyone looking for a fun dining experience!

Even though they were busy the wait was not very long and the host was so nice and I wish I could remember his name. Our server was so nice and kind and made great recommendations. I had the mocktail Nohito and it was sooo cute and delicious! The others had cocktails and a bottle of coke (yes glass bottle)- cute right?! Now we had the Karange tofu and I need that recipe! The crispiest most flavorful tofu outside and nice and soft inside. Couldn't tell it wasn't chicken! We also had oysters. For dinner I had the Katsu Curry and it was on point! And the leftovers were just as delicious. My sister had the Tantanmen and it was sooo good!! I could drink that broth. They do give you options for rice instead of noodles and broth if you like options. We also shared the Glazed tofu and yall it will change your LIFE!!! Cute monkeys hanging out everywhere with beautiful string lights and a classy understated tiki vibe. Please go here if you haven't yet. You'll thank me later

The drinks, the ramen, the dessert...we love it all, and we love spending our money at a local business. For years now, the kitchen has substituted rice for ramen for me because I have gluten intolerance. I have always asked respectfully, explained why, and said thank you, every single time. Tonight my husband and I walked down to Strangebird for dinner, ordered drinks and dinner, and I had *just* said to my husband that Strangebird has come to feel like a second home. Then the server came out and told us that the chef has decided they will no longer permit any modifications, including those that meet dietary needs. We were out on the quiet patio surrounded by other customers, so on top of being totally blindsided, it was actually pretty embarrassing, too. Folks, let me tell you how much I wish I could just eat the ramen noodles like everybody else. So much food that I love (and in some cases spent years learning to make myself) went out the window forever when my body stopped being able to handle wheat. But at Strangebird, I could still go in and enjoy the depth of flavor in every other component of a bowl of ramen. And that meant the absolute world to me. I'm heartbroken.

The interior was a vibe with dim lighting that made the rainy meal experience even cozier. Ordering is easy either through the staff or a self ordering kiosk. It had a soft red miso flavor to it which complimented the fresh veggies, chasu and the egg. The chasu was thick and tender. The noodles were cooked perfectly too. I liked the addition of corn to finish up the soup at the end. If I'm in the area again I will be stopping for bubble tea as the menu looked great!

But the vibe was nice and calming, the menu was extensive (ramen and boba options for days), and I landed on the spicy miso ramen--exactly what I needed to warm me up. Nailed it. The broth was rich, savory, and comforting with just the right amount of heat. Every ingredient tasted vibrant and fresh. The green onions, tender pork, and perfectly marinated soft-boiled egg were the ideal companions swimming in that spicy miso goodness. On a gray, cold Indianapolis day, this bowl absolutely hit the spot. Can't wait to come back and try the boba.
