I love this place! There's a waiter who is the absolute best! I go so often that he knows what to have at my table by the time I get to it. He usually asks about how I'm doing with work and my family. Very tentative but knows when to let me eat! The food is delicious in my opinion and I haven't had any problems with cleanliness! The buffet was packed full when we got here. The person that took us to our table was a bit awkward and expected us to know everything.. she stared and us and after some time she was like, "drinks?". The selection is actually not too wide, it's about average and takes up a small space in the restaurant. Almost all of the meats taste the same (same seasoning) which was disappointing when it came to the costillas. The rice and lo mein, staples for most younger people, were not good at all and the noodles had mushrooms which was quite odd for restaurants of this nature. I haven't written a review in at least a year but I had to come out of retirement for this bull!!! I ate here today with a friend and he informed me that right before we left he used the bathroom and watched an employee (apron on and all) urinate and NOT wash his hands!! He even signed off on the state of the bathroom using the pen that's attached to the board with his nasty pissy hands!!! When I got home, I called the restaurant and told them what my friend saw and the man on the phone simply said, "ok." No apology. No offer to change the policy. Just, "ok." They clearly don't care that their employees are disgusting and I would absolutely never eat there again. This is why you don't shake people's hands anymore. I will not be back unless my co-workers drag me again (like they did today, 6/12). The only positive thing I have to say about this restaurant is that it is clean and very nicely decorated, it still feels new...because it is! The wall decor, the darker lighting, the tiles on the floor, the chairs, everything was kind of club-like almost...the fung shui of the restaurant was very smooth. But as the for the food. Sure, there's plenty to choose from but I was not pleased with any of the flavors. I am not a picky person by all means. The dumplings, lo mein noodles, crab puffs, spicy mayo shrimp sushi roll are just some of the food items that did not taste like I thought they would! I usually hate buffet's. I hadn't been to a Chinese Buffet in YEARS. My husband finally convinced me to give in and try one. At first glance the decor at E Star was very trendy and the place was packed. There were lots of options for food. Unfortunately, I almost hated everything I tried. We had 6 people at our table and all of us were unimpressed. Some of the food was bland, some of the food had weird texture, and some of the food tasted like it had been overcooked for several days and still served. The decor is modern & they have ample seating. Visited during lunch, dinner & weekend busy hours & never felt like I had to step over people to get to items. The food selection is a wide range, so there's something for everyone. Sushi rolls, classic Chinese dishes, crawfish, salads, fried & baked fish dishes can be found. Each time I've come the food has been fresh. Some items are pretty good, while others are just ok. Nothing I've had has just been horrid. Their dessert section could use a few more options, but I guess they figure that's not what most people come to a Chinese buffett for in the 1st place. This place has a tremendous value for lunch. Will definetly go back for a dinner and see if the items on the buffet change at all. I frequent E-Star several times a month with my family. In spite of recent times, E-star had maintained a cleanly operation with hand sanitizing stations, gloves and a mask wearing policy. Moreover, E-star's food is good for a buffet. They make fresh batches of cuisine, so the food is always hot. Also, their service is great. Waiters and waitresses are good about refills and visit tables often to make sure everything is ok. Such service has been consistent over the many times I have been to E-star. read more

On the other hand, the sushi was decent. They even had unagi (eel) which is pretty rare because eel is on the more expensive side. I don't eat raw fish so I don't know how that quality was but I filled up more on sushi which was kinda strange being at a Chinese Buffet.
