Stopped by this YMCA with a friend who lifts once a week there on a weekday mid morning . There was a group of children outside under shade playing a fun game , a summer program maybe ? Greeted on entry everyone must sign in , join , belong , or call for details . There was free ? coffee in lobby ! Saw several exercise areas big weight room , a cardio machine separate room , a small exercise ball workout room , & a large dance , aerobics , yoga , mirrored room with comfortable real wood gym type flooring . Two younger women practicing a dance routine enthusiastically there . We " hit the weight room then practiced some stretching , , & friend did a comfortably sharing this big room . I'm told they have a pool but did not see it . Plenty of parking , some nearby under solar panels . ( nearby city of Tucson glass recycling bins #fyi ) Multiple ymca's and ywca around Tucson . There is a section of the pool that's really shallow so it's easy for my toddler to walk around and get used to the water but it's also deep enough for my oldest to practice swimming. There is a lazy river, but it's restricted to 13 and older, which I don't mind because if it helps keep people safe then so be it. It's not a big deal. The lifeguards are very kind and very attentive and overall it's just a really great place to swim in the summer.

The lap lanes have extended farther into the pool area, closing off the deeper end of the pool, and reducing the available areas to only a small shallow section. Very disappointing. It's all good if that's how you want to run your operation, but you are misleading the public with these restrictions. Whoever is overseeing this should provide accurate information outside of the building and online.

The tech Richard was very patient as he explained to me. What needed to be repaired and got it all done the same day as the initial visit which worked out because he didn't have to order parts. He came prepared. He took time to also explain a few other things to help my pull vacuum, run more efficiently and made some suggestions. Very pleased with this company. Dispatch was also very nice and helpful. Taking time to listen to my concerns before scheduling the appointment Thank you very much. As for the cons, the sauna is sometimes out of order. It's been off and on all summer. Also, I will say that some of the older people at this place don't understand gym etiquette and will swipe your equipment before you're done if you turn your back for a second. The trainers are somewhat distracting as well. Some are good and know what they're doing, but they're unreasonably loud when speaking with their clients. Others are quiet and polite but don't offer great training; one guy had his older, frail client ripping down half reps on the lat pull down machine like he was 14 years old and trying to impress his friends. Overall, a good experience with a few hang ups.
