While I liked that I could walk in for my 3pm appt and the decor was high-end, the actual service left a lot to be desired. I asked for Gel X and showed the front desk worker the color I chose (a dusty rose, attached). When she grabbed it, she looked quizzical, but didn't say anything, so I assumed it was one of those cases where the color doesn't look the same in the bottle as it does dried down/ finished. It turned out Barbie pink. I told the tech how long I wanted, showing her my existing nail length. Because my nails weren't all the same length, she wanted to cut them even, which I was fine with. However, she didn't make the nails the correct length, even after I asked her to shorten AND round the nail. I now have much too long and pointy nails-- especially problematic because I work with babies. Lastly, and probably worst of all, she set up a phone to live stream. Fortunately I could see that only my hands were in the shot, but she *never* asked my permission or ever brought it up. It made me really uncomfortable to the point where I just wanted to finish and leave. read more

The salon itself is GORGEOUS. I would not recommend going here! Today I decide to go I and get my nails removed and get a simple manicure no polish - nothing. I asked him to use a file instead of a drill. He told me that's the only way to remove the previous dipping powder, when I told him that I was not wanting to use the drill as it was already hot and hurting when he drilled at the beginning. He wrapped my nails back and told me I needed to wait, which I was okay with. I then had a feeling he was going to drill so I asked him to remove the foils. He then told me "he would do one nail to show me it doesn't hurt" I am a licensed cosmetologist, I like to go get my nails done occasionally instead of doing them myself. And for them to tell me I HAVE TO DRILL on my nails even though it hurts is beyond me!! They then charged me $10 for the acetone! I wouldn't waste your time or money here - They do not care about their customers request! You don't always have to use a drill on your nails, and if anyone ever tells you otherwise please do what you are comfortable with!! read more

I've been to Elan multiple times before and they used to be pretty great but have degraded in quality over time. In the latest visit, I requested for a rose gold chrome manicure. She tried it on one nail and it looked good so she continued. After she was done, there were multiple problems: 1. The nails had bubbles on them 2. One of the nails didn't have an even coating 3. All of them had an extremely uneven layer of polish The overall look was quite ugly. I questioned why it looked that way (mind you, I have gotten chrome nails done with them once before and it looked pretty great that time). The lady told me it was because my nail layer was uneven and that it would only be smooth if I used extensions. I asked her why didn't she make it smooth before putting it on, to which she said she did buff it. Generally, I'm not a person who is very vocal or particular about things but this looked really bad and I said I could not go like this since I have a wedding to attend. She then removed the polish and when I picked a simple gel polish to redo it, they were trying to blow me off because they had another customer waiting?? Anyhow, she did quickly do the simple gel polish after that. I also had a different, sweet lady do my pedicure which was smooth and uneventful (the one star is for her). Fast forward to after I pay, the guy at the reception tells me they will no longer do my nails in the future because their staff "did not have a good time with me". Pretty ridiculous in my opinion but their loss since they lost not just me but also my friend who I came with and our 2 other friends and their moms as well who we come with regularly. A few questions for the team/owner: 1. If my nails were too uneven, why did you not tell me that the chrome polish would only look good with extensions? No one suggested this to me at any point. Even though I have visited a few times before, I'm not an expert on nails or chrome nails so it IS your responsibility to tell me what's best for my nails and if a style would look good or not. If I was an expert already, I'd be doing my nails myself instead of coming here. 2. I admit I was 20 mins late due to traffic, but instead of providing bad service I'd much rather prefer if you were straightforward with me and told me that there was a time issue, so I would have to come back on another day and I'd have gladly done so. OR you could have done only the pedicure along with my friend and done the manicure on a different day. Again, no one asked or suggested this to me. 3. Did you seriously think I'd pay $55+tips for chrome nails that looked TERRIBLE and be okay with it? If yes, then you shouldn't bother responding to customer reviews since you don't care about the customer's opinions anyway and just want the money. Before the owner responds and insinuates that I have always been "problematic customer" (they did this to me on Google reviews): I have been here 3-4 times before, once for ombré dip, once for regular gel and once for French tips. Not ONCE have I asked to redo my nails. At most I have tried the color on one nail and told them I did not like it, which is my right and also respectful to the staff so that they DON'T have to redo the whole thing. I have also never yelled or even argued with the staff. Even this time, all I did was question the service in a polite and respectful manner. read more

I decided to treat myself and tried out their "spa in a box" pedicure and added on a stone massage. It was GREAT! The atmosphere is nice, staff were friendly. I went the first time and had my daughters nails done and her nail polish peeled off. Wanted to give them a second chance and wanted to have my nails done before my vacation (2/14/24) and had my daughters nails done as well. I walked out of the salon and my nails started to shrivel and look horrible, had to spend another 15 minutes added to my 1hr service to get them fixed. Then by the next day my daughters nail polished peeled off again!! If I could give zero stars I would, I made an appointment for myself, daughter, and granddaughter for pedicures, a powder refill and a full powder set of nails. The appointments were made for 8/2/2024 at 10:am,11am and 11:15 which I received email confirmation accepting all appointments. When making the appointments I selected Teresa as the tech I wanted for each pedicure Vy was the tech for my granddaughter. Myself and my daughter did not receive who I had selected, the lady doing my daughter could not understand what was being said.( both of my daughter big toe would need acrylic). The tech doing my pedicure (Tina) switch places and did a beautiful pedicure on my daughter. My experience was a nightmare after being nicked several times, then the hot towels that were used were too hot and burnt my left leg, she did not know what to do and Tine instructed her what to do. I did not finish my pedicure which was $65.00. I kept showing her missed parts of my toe that had no polish. I proceeded to the front desk and ask for the manager, the gentle said he was, so when I explained what had happened he was very rude and unconcerning, when I explained that the hot towel had burnt me this is what really pissed me off he stated are you sure it wasn't the lotion. I ask for the owners and he gave me a card and told me to find them on the website. I asked to get my feet done at the same time as my nails and you would've thought I was asking to get it all done on an elephant. I see this being done all the time...the guy "spike" rushed me. I showed him a picture which I've always done at nail salons and he kept saying "don't focus on the picture focus more on what you want or like". You could tell he was getting so frustrated it was really upsetting. This was supposed to be a relaxing time and it wasn't. He made multiple comments about "I'm glad we had 5 Colors to pick from". The girl Amy who did my pedicure was wonderful. At the end I told him my thumb was shorter than the rest and he said "got you". And now my thumb tip is basically almost coming up which I told him it was and he said it didn't matter. I was stressed this entire time which is not what the experience should be like. I even called back and told a manager what was wrong and he said "unless you want to come back". Unfortunately this will be my last time coming to this salon. I decided to give them one last try because it is so hard to find a decent place nowadays. My 3 issues have made me decide to stop coming here because I am honestly grossed out. While I was getting my acrylics put on, there was another client more than 6 feet away from me getting a pedicure. When the nail tech started clipping his toes nails one flew across the room and landed on my arm. I understand this might happen but it was gross. Then I noticed that my nail tech was sharing his drill, that he was using on me with another nail tech who was using the same uncleaned drill bits on another pedicure client. He cut me a couple of times so I was very scared as this is how diseases spread. Finally I went to pay and they charged me more this time than I have ever been charged here. I tried to give them another chance and they blew it. Hoping that nobody gets any infections from this place. read more
