Fixed my stove and my dryer. Excellent repairs, great prices and dependable! It is hard to trust repair guys, but Echo is the exception.

Updating on 9/17:…read more Mike reached out directly to resolve our issue with our fridge after this review posted. His communication was prompt and responsive, he worked to find a solution and then offered to guarantee his work for a year. While I was frustrated with the initial experience, I appreciate a company that will stand by their service and I feel that's what he's done here. I'm updating our review to reflect the effort given; Thank you, Mike. Original review: A nightmare! I decided to go with this company based off of reviews, and now I'm questioning how they got so many positive ones. We had their technician out (Iosif) for the initial diagnostics, trusted his opinion on what the issue was and decided to move forward with the repair. Made an appointment with him for the repair, which he no called/no showed for. I called their main line after the appointment time had passed, to be told that we were not even on the schedule. The technician reached out to say that the "part was delayed"... but apparently notifying us before the appointment was too much work. Said he would be out the next day. He came out, "fixed" the fridge (NOT fixed, no change to the fridge AT ALL) and scratched our wood floors! I asked why he didn't protect the floors when pulling the fridge out and he stated that he "has never needed to before" and tried to claim that the *very new* scratches must have been old. We literally incurred damage having this company into our home. I reached out regarding the floor and the fact that our fridge shows no change after spending hundreds with them... They have not responded to email regarding the floor and have completely blown us off regarding the fridge repair. A complete waste of money that actually left us with more to fix! Do not use this company!

We called John at Alpine about a year ago when we received a recommendation from Service Magic…read more Over the phone, I told John my problem and he troubleshot while talking on the phone. He thought perhaps my Condenser Fan had stopped spinning (I had vacuumed under the fridge and apparently accidentally hit the fan offline) and sure enough, John was right. John saved me a service call and I was grateful! I told John if there was anything else wrong in the future, I would refer my business to him......so here I am. A few weeks ago, the automatic ice machine was over producing ice. I lifted the control bar to stop the ice flow and the freezer has never been the same since. A few days after doing so, the freezer was beginning to get warm while the food in the fridge began to freeze the milk and other liquid drinks. We adjusted the temp controls and thought the problem was fixed. Soon after the fridge began to give off a loud buzzing sound ever few hours. It sounded like it was coming from the back of the fridge. We then pulled the fridge out from the wall, took off the back plate and I vacuumed the condenser and all areas under. I thought that perhaps since we were having warmer weather in the 80's, the fridge was struggling to breathe. That solution seemed to work and the loud buzzing stopped. But then soonafter, the water supply to the door had stopped. We couldn't get any water out of the door. So, after a few times of trying to get a glass of water from the door, it seemed like the water loosened up or perhaps unfroze, and the water flowed fine. Now, 2 weeks later, the ice machine has stopped making ice altogether, but temps inside the freezer and fridge have seemed to even themselves out and the fridge is *working*. The control bar in the ice machine works fine, as does the ice maker itself and I hear the evaporator fan going in the freezer. We cannot get any water to flow into the ice maker to produce ice. Again, we pulled the fridge out from the wall, seemingly checked the water lines for hardness or possible ice blockage, but it's been 2 days now and still no water flow to the freezer to the ice maker to produce ice. About once an hour, I do hear inside the fridge that it seems like the water mechanism is trying to turn itself on to flow to the ice maker, but no water goes. At this point, the repair is well above my husband's and my skill level.....so, we called John at Alpine. John arrived at my home and was courteous and listened to all of my previous troubleshooting (listed above) and began to diagnose the problem. He was leaning toward a frozen water line to the ice maker. He removed the line from the back of the fridge and asked for a hair dryer......all while doing this, he was teaching me what to do if the problem arose again. The ice was a little more compacted than he originally thought, so he opened the freezer, removed the back wall panel and proceeded to use the hair dryer to the water chute to the ice maker. Woohoo! An ice clog shot out the water line the size of a small bullet. John put everything back together with care and the ice maker was fixed. Since my fridge is over 10 years old, I asked John to just do a "once over" in hopes I wouldn't need to be calling him again soon. He took of the front kick plate and looked under the fridge. He said it looked good, was clean (after I vacuumed the coils) and was in presumably good working order. I paid John his Service Fee! That's it! God bless him......even as he was exiting my house....he said "listen, if you have any more problems, feel free to give me a call, I can try to help you troubleshoot it over the phone". It's so refreshing to see an honest repairman like John. I recommend him to anyone and will not hesitate to call him again, if I ever need another appliance repair. Five stars for sure. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly customer service (Willing to indulge multiple questions) and a good guy overall. Thanks John and Alpine!

I hired John from Alpine Appliance Repair and paid a $193 service fee explicitly to inspect and…read morediagnose my malfunctioning refrigerator. Instead of doing a proper physical teardown or pulling any panels to check the actual internal components, he did the absolute bare minimum: he used a multimeter on two easily accessible wires, guessed the issue was the main control board, and walked away. His entire attitude shifted and became noticeably passive-aggressive before we even scheduled the workday, simply because I revealed I planned on preemptively purchasing my own replacement parts to save money. Things are incredibly tight for me right now, and I bought them in advance to be efficient and avoid multiple service fees. He actually texted me beforehand, snidely stating, "Since you're adamant about figuring out the problem yourself, if you can borrow an ohmmeter, we can determine the exact part you need, before ordering." I politely replied that I was just trying to save money by ordering directly, was happy to have an assortment of parts here at the time of his visit, and would return whatever went unused. Because I already had the parts sitting there, he took the absolute laziest shortcut possible. He didn't bother testing the actual mechanical parts; he just grabbed the new $175 control board from my stash, swapped it out, and called it a day. When he plugged it in, he ran a quick door-switch test, acknowledged right before leaving that the fan was completely silent and the board hadn't fixed a single thing, and essentially said, that sucks, keep me posted. So I did. When I politely followed up to let him know the fridge was still completely failing to cool and asked him to return to check the actual root cause (since I had already paid $193 in labor), he hit me with an incredibly rude, condescending response. He flat-out lied and tried to rewrite history, falsely claiming that I "refused to allow him to diagnose it." What the hell is he talking about? A proper diagnosis is the exact reason he was hired and paid. I didn't schedule a control board swap; he chose to install that out of my pile based on a lazy, two-wire guess. He took advantage of my trust, guessed wrong, and tried to gaslight me to cover up his own incompetence. I am out $193 in labor and stuck with a completely useless, unreturnable $175 control board because I trusted this man's guess. His business model is clearly to perform zero-effort troubleshooting, force expensive parts onto the customer, and bank on charging subsequent service fees for repeat visits. Do not trust Alpine Appliance Repair. I have attached the screenshots of our conversation to show the stark contrast between what I thought was my kind approach and his defensive, dismissive, and dishonest response.
