I began my relationship with E&S Orthodontics a little over a year ago. As a middle aged man, I was having some breathing issues due to the recession of my mandible (jaw) and the inward turning of my teeth which was preventing my tongue from having a proper home in my mouth. I researched a variety of ways to remedy my breathing issue and finally settled on the idea of orthodontic correction. I then researched orthodontists fluent in teeth and mouth related sleep apnea and discovered that Dr. O at E&S was such an expert. I met with him in consultation. His expertise and comfort level with my medical condition was very evident. I also found him to have an excellent bedside manner, especially with regard to empathy for his patient. After an hour long consultation, i knew that I had found the proper orthodontist to help me. I was then introduced to the office in general and to the orthodontic tech that would work with me. First, let me describe the office itself. It is a high energy environment. As you walk in, multiple staff make eye contact with you and greet you on behalf of E&S Orthodontics. There is a general sense that permeates the place that everyone there is concerned about the patients of E&S and want to deliver outstanding service and results. And finally, I want to share about the orthodontic tech that I was blessed with. Her name is Yvonne. She was AMAZING. At every single visit with her (and I had over a dozen), she would ease my fears ( I had a phobia about gagging while having dental work done), make me laugh, and then work with such precision and skill that complex maneuvers inside my mouth would happen with great ease. With Dr. O's supervision and Yvonne's trusty hands, I was able to overcome my phobia and allow the E&S to place permanent retainers (wires that run along the back of the teeth) for my upper and lower teeth. But I'm getting ahead of myself. So after a little over a year, the day finally came when my braces could come off per Dr. O. When my braces were removed, the entire office staff marched over to my chair while "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang played overhead. I felt as if the entire office and in particular Dr. O and Yvonne took joy in "my" achievement. Now as to my breathing problems, I noticed a dramatic improvement in symptoms a few months after the braces were installed and that benefit has remained now that my braces have been removed. I need to add that along the way, I also ended up with an amazing smile(!) As a medical doctor, I have witnessed and personally delivered medical care for the last 25 years. I know when I see compassionate, extraordinary care. E&S has been our go-to for braces, and I couldn't be happier with their care--my youngest is now the fifth in our family to get braces here! One thing I truly appreciate is their honesty. My son had been eager for braces for years, but Dr. O and Dr. Saavedra consistently reassured us that he wasn't ready. Their integrity in only recommending treatment when necessary speaks volumes to me as a mom. Out of my four older kids, two needed Phase 1, and two didn't--showing that they prioritize what's best for each individual patient. A special shout-out to Elysse, who made my son's bonding appointment such a great experience! She was quick, kind, and her excitement for him was so genuine--it made the moment even more special. My children have been patients at E&S for almost 2 years now. I absolutely love this practice! They are so down to earth and inviting, yet professional and competent. Not only the providers, but the staff as well. Jorge is such a sweetie and my daughter always says how gentle Jessica is when changing out her wire for her braces. Really everyone there is amazing! They provide great orthodontic care but also go above and beyond with the events they host throughout the year. We recently experienced our 1st one this past April when we attended their Spring Fiesta. It was awesome!!! They provided literally everything. Free food, free fun, raffle giveaways (including free braces and awesome giftcards) as well as great company. We go to the Tolleson/Phoenix location but they have several throughout the valley. Dr.O has been my primary doctor throughout my treatment. Very happy with my results by far. The staff is great and always so cheery and helpful. I have never waited longer than 5 minutes to be seated and seen. Appointments are on time. There have been a couple occasions where I'm running 5 min. late and they have taken me in. So grateful for that! It's not easy to get time off from work during the week for appointments, so very pleased to not be turned away for being 5 minutes late. I just started my 12 year old on her treatment, she hasn't complained once about the staff or doctors. Payment plans are available which is very convenient and always a plus! Dealing with this orthodontist's billing department has been a frustrating experience. I chose this office for my son's braces, but after a hardship in our family that resulted in a loss, I reached out to inform them of our situation. Unfortunately, a representative named Diana (or Deanna) showed no understanding or empathy. I take full responsibility for my payments, but I expected better support from their team. To make matters worse, I updated them with my new insurance through my employer, yet they continue to hound me with calls and emails over late fees. My children have been with E & S for about a year and a half. I have never seen a group of people who enjoy doting on their patients more than they do. My son needed braces in an emergancy situation. He would/could potentially loose his four front top teeth if he didn't do something. I saw the X-rays and understood why. They worked with me regarding payment options that would work in my budget, something I didn't think was possible. I am so grateful for them!!! This place also gives back to their community and their patients. We have enjoyed BBQ parties, and other activities on them just for fun! We just completed 1 year under the care of E&S Orthodontics for my 12 year old son. We are beyond happy with the Excellent Customer service every time we call or come in. From day one we were treated as an individual case and not just another patient. My sons smile has made such a drastic change with the care they have provided. My daughter just started coming, and they already know who she is, they make us feel comfortable and they know who she is when she walks in. They get her checked in and they're very quick, and we never have to wait! Super friendly staff, and they have coffee and water and cookies waiting for the family in the lobby while you wait for your child. Best part the place is clean!! I love this e&s orthodontist in Peoria. They are not only so helpful with helping you save money, but they use there resources to help you have a great smile!! A big appreciation goes to Berta, she moved my retainer back after my mistake of breaking it and she attomatically knew what to do and fixed it and made my clear retainer fit and my teeth right then and there moved back and became straight! I've had braces for about 3 months now. Put on by E&S Orthodontics and their professional team of Dentist, it took under an hour. I had to make it to a Math final for school, and in under an hour they were already on ready to go. In under an hour they did all the x-rays and had the braces ready to go.
