Before I started treatment with Brigham Orthodontics, my inflamed TMJ was hindering my quality of life. It was difficult for me to open my mouth, painful to chew food, and my face was visibly swollen from inflammation. I had been told by other providers I would most likely need surgery followed by traditional braces. After a lot of research on orthodontists and Invisalign I decided to start treatment with Dr. Brigham. I am 7 weeks into my treatment and it has been the best decision I've ever made. Dr. Gary Brigham was great at first, but I was very disappointed at the end of my treatment. He created a very thin retainer, knowing that I grind my teeth at night. I chewed right through it, and they said it's $700 for a new one, or I can start a new (thousands of dollars) treatment, since my teeth will shift without a retainer. Brigham knew I grind my teeth in my sleep, he should have offered a thicker option. $700 is a lot to spend, if I chew through them pretty quickly in my sleep. I felt that once I paid off my debt for the Invisalign, they had no more use to listen to me, until I paid hundreds and eventually thousands of dollars more on an option that didn't work for me. I was in college, literally all my money except on school tuition and books went to Brigham for years, I worked 2-3 jobs. I was very disappointed that after years of being a patient, Brigham's team didn't even listen to my concerns. Instead, once I explained how I felt, they said, "doesn't matter, we have plenty of 5 star reviews online." True, but don't forget about how your customers keep you in business. Yes, I might not be a big deal to you as one person, but I just hope you don't treat anyone else like that. Also, the TMJ treatment options I did, didn't even help me in the long run, only temporarily. I current see a TMJ specialist, after years of seeing Brigham. read more

Dr. Brigham *saved* us today! I mean literally. My little girl's gum around the bracket in the back swelled so much it was swallowing the bracket! It was hurting her very much. We aren't even patients of Dr. Brigham, and he agreed to see her emergently because our orthodontic office closed and have no access to help during the COVID-19 outbreak closure. This orthodontist was listed as the treasurer of the x-ray company he referred his patients to. The company was called ARS=Arizona Radiographic Services. They are no longer in business. I believe this was a conflict of interest, he could have been getting some type of financial incentive from ARS for prescribing more x-rays on patients. I did not discover this until recently, from documents with the Arizona Corporation Commission. Brigham was listed as the treasurer in the 1990s and early 2000s. My daughter came out of the x-ray room one day and told me they had to do a second round during that sitting when she was a teen. Brigham pushed unnecessary radiation and used a 3rd rate company. Good orthodontists do not do all of this radiation and have controls in place to avoid the extra radiation, kids and teens are especially at risk. We did not know any of these risks back then, nor did Brigham review them. Well, 15 years later she developed acute myeloid leukemia and has since died. We tried contacting the original owner of ARS, she will not respond. We tried with the AZ Dental Board. They said to hire an attorney. We do not have the funds and it was too long ago. BEWARE! BEWARE! Dr. Brigham is not wearing his mask properly. I was very uncomfortable. It was below his nose almost the entire time I was at my consultation. He was literally 12 inches from my face and his mask was barely on and his nose was fully exposed. He also touched other surfaces WITH his gloves on then touched my mouth. Who does this? Most dental offices are DOUBLE masking. Then I experienced this? I WILL NOT BE USING HIM. There are too many good ones in the area that practice properly during this pandemic! read more

Dr. Brigham is the guy to see if you're looking to improve your smile. He enrolled me in Invisalign and 18 months later, I now have a perfect smile. This practice is in a prime location. Upon entering, you'll notice the upscale environment immediately. You can check in independently via a console upfront, but the staff upfront got to know me by name, so, they would normally just check me in without effort on my part. They use the best technologies available, too. His crew is another reason why this place is great; they make you feel so happy to be there. when I was goin' through ortho treatment, I wish I was under the care of Dr. Brigham ..but guess what?!.. my daughter is a patient of Brigham Orthodontics and I've visited the office each time she's had an appt. We are roundin' her final visits. It's been about 2 years now, Dr. Brigham and staff have remained consistent and always happy to see their patients. I'm sure his patients would also agree, when I say that 'my daughter's visit is typically a good one indeed.' At a prime age of 11 year of age, he's been able to school her on proper oral hygiene and care for her braces. I absolutely love Brigham Orthodontics. I had a bad experience with braces with another provider as an adult about five years ago that really set off my TMJ. I really wanted to straighten my teeth but was so afraid of going through all of the jaw pain again. Dr. B is the absolute BEST! I was a really difficult patient... I had a "class 3 cross-bite" (my lower jaw made me look like a bulldog) and other orthodontists said I needed severe jaw surgery. Dr. Brigham was amazingly kind and knowledgeable. He understood that I really didn't want, nor could I afford, surgery. He worked with me, and repositioned my bite over time with retainers until my teeth finally fit together properly. No surgery, no pain! Then, when my bite felt fantastic, he cleaned up the look with a very short Invisalign treatment and free bleaching treatment! I was so embarrassed by my teeth growing up that I never smiled in pictures. Now I get compliments all the time on my straight, white teeth. It's such a relief! I can't say enough about Dr. Brigham. He's so knowledgeable, funny, and warm. I'm scared of dentists and orthodontists, and I'm such a baby for pain. He was so accommodating throughout the whole process, from fitting my appointments in around my school schedule to maintaining treatment at a steady, pain-free pace. I know I was a difficult patient.
