My daughter was getting married in a few months. She said I was not allowed to be there unless I…read moregot my teeth fixed, as she did not want her new in-laws to judge me (and her) based on a missing front tooth. "I know that your tooth was knocked out when the metal end of a dog lease hit you in the face, but everyone else probably thinks you're a meth head." Harsh words. I hope that most people are not that judgmental, but I am socially handicapped by my freakish empathy, unable in many cases to see the bad in people, even after I have been harmed by them. Besides, I do not enjoy having a jarring hole in my face where my front tooth should be. I have noticed the recoil on people's faces when I forget to cover my smile with my hand or to not smile no matter what. So I readily agreed to find a dentist to fix things and give the name and number to my daughter. She had figured the cost of fixing my teeth into her wedding budget. (Although I felt such shame and guilt that not only could I not pay for my daughter's wedding but she had to pay to make me presentable enough to attend, I also felt the love she demonstrated in her offer.) Now, I have zero patience for things like researching dentists. So on the last possible day to submit contact information, I randomly chose ProSmile Dental Implant Center from online listings. Not only am I an empath, but apparently I am also psychic, for my random pick turned out to have chosen the best dentist possible!! Besides the cosmetic repair, I also needed the dentist to clear me to have a knee surgery. Sounds unrelated, I agree. But the anesthesiologist doesn't want you to die in their care, and dying during anesthesia is more possible if you have any infection in your teeth. I had been afraid to see a dentist because I cannot take any pain medication. I had last had a tooth pulled in the 1990s, and I remember the hurt. I avoided the dentist for more than a decade. And that's why, before I could get a bridge, I needed 7-SEVEN!- teeth pulled due to infection. I had a consultation first, during which I was happy to discover that all the staff were very nice. But I have experienced this first visit kindness at other dental offices, only to discover that I am treated not so well next time I am there. So I was wary. I went to my appointment like a lamb to slaughter. I was treated very well prior to inhaling the knock out vapor by everyone who works there. When I woke up, of course I was still numb where my teeth had been removed, and my mouth was filled with stitches. I was absolutely dreading the moment that the novacaine would wear off. And here is the entire reason I wrote this wordy essay: Despite avoiding the dentist for years due to fear of pain, despite everyone warning me that I would be super uncomfortable and have bruises on my face, despite being so scared prior to the surgery tears rolled down my cheeks, in the days after I had SEVEN teeth pulled from my gums, I HAD ABSOLUTELY NOT A SECOND, NOT EVEN A TWINGE, OF PAIN. Read that again: I had NO PAIN after getting 7 teeth pulled out and a bit of gum repair surgery too. This blew my mind. I suppose it's true that techniques and technology updates helped create this result, but those things still are provided by the dentist himself. So I write this to highly highly recommend ProSmile Dental Implant Center based solely on the fact that I had no pain at all. It was a few weeks before my bridge could be installed. There were two delays because the new teeth were not the exact match in color to my remaining teeth. This drove my poor daughter out of her mind as her wedding was a week or two out, but I didn't mind a bit! These wonderful people wanted absolute perfection. Even when I said it looked good, the team recognized a slight difference, and they brought the lab guy in to fix it. He was able to rush it and it was all good the next day! I am certain that any other dentist would have gone ahead with the sub par work when I said it was fine with me. But not them. They insisted they make it perfect, and I am very glad they did. I was able to attend my daughter's wedding without hiding my smile. As far as I know, her new in-laws don't think I am a meth head, at least not based on my teeth. And I can attest to the fact that not having to worry that a stranger will gasp involuntarily when they see you grin a toothless grin at them is truly a life changing improvement. It takes a few weeks to lose the habit of a no teeth smile, but soon you return to how you were before you lost any teeth, and it is WONDERFUL. Thank you to ProSmile Dental Implant Center, and especially thank you to my beautiful daughter. Love is awesome!

One of the disclosures asked about special needs, which I answered honestly. After that, I never received a quote or any follow-up. It's hard not to wonder if that disclosure influenced their decision not to move forward. I went with my partner to the Tempe office located at 2125 E Warner Rd, Ste 101, Tempe, AZ 85384 to…read morewait with him while he had his wisdom teeth removed. We arrived 02-21-25 at 8:45am for a 9am appointment. The young lady at the front desk was cold and dismissive. She gave the impression that she just hated her job and the people there. No friendliness whatsoever. Now, this is just my personal opinion and other people may disagree, but I feel like positive interactions with patients is essential for anyone with front desk duties. Patients are scared, they're in pain, they're seeking comfort. They don't need to be treated like an inconvenience. That interaction should have been a red flag. After waiting a few minutes in the lobby, we were taken back where my partner and I were separated. He was taken down a hall while I was led to the treatment room where the surgery would happen. After waiting about ten minutes, my partner was brought over and the doctor came in shortly after to speak with us. He was extremely professional and the interaction was wonderful. However, he did give us the bad news that the 2D imaging showed that the bottom two wisdom teeth were right next to a nerve and there was no way he could proceed unless they did a CBCT scan to provide a 3D image. He told us that their machine hasn't worked in ages and without that imaging, he could not proceed due to risks that could potentially lead facial numbness / paralysis. Fine. That's understandable. The doctor stated he could refer us out for imaging that we could bring back to him for review. At that point, he would let us know whether he could perform the procedure or if he would need to send us to one of their surgery centers which would be better equipped to handle this type of situation. Of course, we opted to go to one of their surgery centers so we could avoid this hassle altogether. One stop shop. We were given a referral to take with us and were told that any of those facilities could take us - some even accepted walk-ins. Already, my partner felt so defeated because we paid the $200 deposit, waited three weeks for this appointment, and took the day off work so we could be here - only to be turned away due to the facility being ill-equipped to handle these situations. When we left the office, I was determined to figure this out. So when we got to the car, I looked at the referral and saw that is was for a completely different facility called Valley Endodontics and Oral Surgery. This confused me because the doctor said they would refer us to one of THEIR surgery centers. I just assumed they were affiliated so I called the Chandler location and explained our situation to the person over the phone. I told the person over the phone that we already paid the deposit and I wondered if that would be credited to our account there. The person who took my call was so gracious and apologetically explained that they have no affiliation with The Wisdom Teeth Guys and that I would need to call them for a refund to apply towards their own services. She was so kind and caring and went out of her way to squeeze us in for a 10am appointment, which was only 30 minutes from that point. Fortunately, we were only 5 minutes away. The staff at Valley Endodontics was so warm and inviting. They took us right away and wound up being way cheaper than The Wisdom Teeth Guys. I'm writing this review in their lobby while I wait for my partner to finish up with his surgery. Stay away from The Wisdom Teeth Guys if you don't want to have your time wasted.

I was less than thrilled to find out that I needed a tooth extracted but thankfully it was on top and in the far back. After consulting with Dr Cedric I felt at ease knowing what to expect for the day of. The procedure which was done at Whole Health was fast and exactly how he said it would be. He assured me that I would only need an implant if I wanted one so no pressure of YOU HAVE to do this other expensive procedure. They cranked the nitrous on and it was truly no big deal. I've been through much worse unpleasant dental visits before. They sent me some with some high quality supplements for healing which was awesome, some of which I will be reordering. Recovery was painless and like Dr Cedric assured nothing like impacted wisdom teeth extraction. The best part is that within a week my gums were no longer inflamed and bleeding every time I would floss. I did have a cleaning the day before surgery with ozone gas and laser so I do think that played a key role in the healing process. But overall the infection is gone, my gums are back to normal and I'm feeling great. Impressive results that exceeded my expectations, highly recommend Dr Cedric Loud and his wife!
