Dr. Saavedra put me on a unilateral Carriere motion appliance and caused a lot of issues. This created asymmetry and I now have a lot of jaw issues. He acted like nothing like this could happen and that the appliance does not do anything to the jaw. Well, carriere website advices against placing it unilaterally. I am sure they have it all in the pamphlet given to the providers, but he still ignored and put me on it. I have done a lot of research after and pretty much every single Orthodontist advises against placing it unilaterally. Its just basic knowledge and I am still not sure how someone can be so careless. They will not take responsibility when something goes wrong. Please avoid this place. read more

I went to E&S Orthodontics with several concerns with my teeth at the age of 65. Dr. Saavedra was very knowledgeable and addressed all my concerns. He assured and gave me a peace of mind that my crooked teeth and out of alignment will be corrected eventhough I have several missing teeth which caused my biting issue. His staffs are very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. I had to replace 2 fillings while having the braces on, and his staffs went out of their way to accommodate and corporate with my dentist to accomplish the repair of my teeth from removing partial braces, scheduling according to the availability of my dentist's schedule, to putting the partial braces back all in the same day! I was impressed how professional his staffs were. Many thanks!! His quote for the braces was very reasonable since I had to pay out of my own pocket. I got a tour and they gave me a step by step of what they will be doing with my little one. I am just in the open room next door while they did her X-rays. Which for me is a big deal I don't let me kids go anywhere in a office without me. They told me we will go here next then talk about plans after. I can hear the tech having a caring conversation with my daughter. Asking her if she is excited for braces and if she made the little charm on her phone. It is those little things of them caring about your kiddo that gives you the reassurance you came to the right place. They were able to do braces same day! After a long day of work. I had an appointment (so I thought) on Monday July 8th. I first went to the Union Hills location and was told I was at the wrong location and that my appointment was at the Peoria location. I get to the Peoria location and the lot is pretty empty but the door is open. I go in and I'm greeted by Shannon J. She explains that they are not taking any more pts for the day and I let her know my feelings about that. I tell her how I first went to another location and was sent to this one. I now know that the lady at the Union Hills location did not actually check to see if that's where I needed to go. Shannon informs me I was scheduled for Friday instead. I informed her that must be a mistake because I can't do Friday appointments. I was super frustrated and at this point down right angry. Shannon could sense my frustration and was able to assist me with a few things with my braces that were within her scope of practice. I appreciate her for being understandings and respecting the fact I was being shuffled around with no real answers. She provided great customer service and I learned she has been employed with them for a while. Well E&S give Shannon a raise. She deserves it! I came to this location to have a new retainer made after my old one broke and am very impressed with my service. The new retainer was ready within a week, and one of the front front metal pieces broke soon after I got the retainer they replaced it quickly and without issue. They also worked to accommodate my schedule, and I was never waiting long at all for my appointments. Berta is the tech who worked with me throughout the process and I found her very helpful and friendly. She was able to answer all of my questions, and even adjusted my old retainer free of charge- the old retainer had been bothering me for a few years and she fixed it for me during my appointment which I really appreciate. We moved in the middle of my daughters treatment and wanted to find a new orthodontist so we wouldn't have to fly out of state to our old one. I read lots of good reviews about this place, plus they do Damon braces which is what my daughter has on. They worked with me on the price but only because I was ready to walk out the door. My daughter was half way through her treatment but they only wanted to take $2k off. They did agree to take another $1k off; I thought they were trying to meet me in the middle, but it was probably more out of desperation(my opinion). From day one we have had issues with the orthodontist care given, and my chief complaint was that her wires that were holding her bands in place kept coming off or would loosen up greatly before her next six week appt. They couldn't hold for SIX WEEKS! We never had an issue like this with her last orthodontist and I voiced my concern several times. After arguing with the orthodontist, he said now she doesn't need bands. I felt that he only said this because of the confrontation. Two appts later and she was back in bands. She's been in bands for the remainder of her treatment. I regret not spending the money to keep her at her old orthodontist. My concern is that when she is an adult, she will need braces a third time because the last year of care was poor. I hate this place, and I tell anyone who will listen. My other daughter is going into phase two of braces this summer and we will be going with Paseo Ranch pediatrics and orthodontist. The only reason I am giving this place two starts is because of Gina. She is great at her job, awesome with my daughter, and overall a good person. If you're already stuck here and hate it as much as I do, ask for her to be your tech, it will change your experience. The office staff is also kind. read more
