As you can imagine, it was pretty uncomfortable and we needed help quickly. I immediately jumped on Google and started calling orthodontist offices nearby. The first office I called told me they couldn't help us, which was discouraging. Thankfully, the next call I made was to Surprise & Carefree Orthodontics. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly kind and immediately said she could help us. They were actually getting ready to close in about 30 minutes, but she told us if we headed their way she would make room for us. On top of that, we needed authorization from our orthodontist back home, and she took care of coordinating everything. She got our orthodontist's phone number, connected with them, and had the authorization faxed over so they could treat my daughter. The entire process from the phone call to getting my daughter's wire clipped happened in about 30 minutes. Because of their willingness to help, we were able to fix the issue quickly and continue enjoying the rest of our vacation. I truly wish every orthodontist office was this easy to work with. I don't know what they do differently from others, but her bracket only popped off 1 time (her fault) my other daughter broke brackets constantly. She didn't have the irritating wire stab the back of her mouth like my other child. This was my second time having braces (first time when I was 14) and I couldn't be happier with my result! Got them on in the end of November and got them off in the end of January exactly 14 months. The providers are genuine and explain every step of your treatment in terms any non-medical professional can understand. Before I started treatment with Brigham Orthodontics, my inflamed TMJ was hindering my quality of life. It was difficult for me to open my mouth, painful to chew food, and my face was visibly swollen from inflammation. I had been told by other providers I would most likely need surgery followed by traditional braces. In my initial consult with Dr. Brigham, he told me that he was 98% sure he could alleviate my TMJ symptoms and straighten my teeth with just Invisalign - no surgery, no traditional braces, and he was RIGHT! Dr B also believes that orthodontics shouldn't be classified as a medical luxury and every person deserves treatment; his office worked with me, my insurance, and set me up on a payment plan that I could afford.
