    Halibut

We love the ambiance, such a relaxed vibe. Gentle and easy service. We enjoyed the fried okra, baked oysters, and watermelon w/feta salad to start. The halibut was delicious and filled with flavor. The steak was savory and tender. Perfect choice for celebrations! There's something on the menu for every palate.

This place has nice ambience. Liked it from entrance. The room and tables are really nice. There was a separate room for group events which looked nice. This restaurant is upscale. We were greeted on entry and the waiter that attended to us was first class. I ordered the pork chop and I am glad that I did. The sides were great. Not just saying that. The cream corn was smooth. The broccoli was definitely tasty. The pork chop was moist and had a perfect crust on it. Seriously, I would put that chop up against and pork chop I had every had, close to mine lol. My wife has a salad snd enjoyed it as well. Parking was available in front. This was my birthday outing and I received a complimentary treat.

We sat by the fireplace, it was very nice. We ordered the quail appetizer - I have never had quail, but it was good! For entrees, I got the Red Snapper with corn grits, green beans, and topped with crawfish tails. It was amazing! The top was a little crispy; it was cooked perfectly. The corn grits and green beans were delicious. He got the Beef Tenderloin with potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms. He ordered it medium rare and it was excellent. Our waiter, Phillip, gave great recommendations and was very attentive and helpful. We finished it off with the bread pudding with caramel & chocolate with strawberries - absolutely amazing. Not a single thing was average/mediocre, everything was excellent. Will definitely be going back!

Such good food and great foods paired with one another to bring excellent taste. The cheese grits are by far the best grits I've had before. They are made with a few different cheese and are so good. The service is amazing and all the waiters and waitresses are so friendly and nice. Definitely recommend this place for when you want to treat yourself to a nice meal.

Really nice spot for brunch! Beautiful restaurant, friendly and attentive staff, and great food. We went for brunch and it was a great way to end our visit to Birmingham.

The service is *excellent* with a capital "E." We ate at the bar, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about every single aspect of the restaurant. They have tried everything on the menu themselves. They can describe any one of the imported liquors up on the wall. These are real deal professionals who illustrate just how important the people in a restaurant's front truly are. The food? Delicious. It's a wild grab bag of East Asian fare - Chinese, Japanese, Thai - and it's all done extremely well. The portions are small, which is good, since you'll want to try half a dozen things on Current's very deliberately thought-out menu. The Peking Duck is some of the best I've had. The cocktails are also excellent, with my favorite being a delicious, earthy combination of coconut, lime, and pandan. It's like an extremely upscale tiki drink. I cannot recommend this place enough. Absolutely perfect. 5 stars.

We went for the "favorites" menu which a $65/person was an absolute steal. You get two starters, dumplings and cured red snapper is what was offered. Two entrees, the bo ssam and banana leaf wrapped redfish, and one dessert, the miso tart. Everything was quite good and more than enough food. The dessert was a real winner. I thought about it days after. Looking forward to going back.

Jake and the staff were beyond friendly and kind! The patio was a popular spot with hard walls and heavy duty plastic windows, ample seating despite it being a rare 70 degree Alabama December day. Parking is a slight challenge as it has always been, however there was plenty of street parking out front and around the corner. The restaurant was clean, with a few water spills, and the rest rooms (several are unisex) were clean! We had a party of five adults and two children and helped ourselves to push 4-tops together to make room for everyone. It's order at the back counter to the right of the bar. Pay in advance with a three percent (I think) discount if you use cash. You get a number and they bring your dishes to you. I opted for brunch scrambled eggs platter, best friend had their chicken tortilla soup, we shared guac and chips, hubs had an enchalada, daughter had a tofu/meat substitute quesadilla plate since she is a vegetarian, her hubs got a delicious looking meat sandwich plate and their beautiful children enjoyed chicken fingers and fries from the children's menu. The music was fun and relaxing (think early Stevie Nick's) and at a volume that was just right for conversation. We appreciated the kind staff, great dishes, and eclectic relaxing environment for our post Christmas get together. Reservations were not required. Thanks Rojo for delivering since 2002!

You take the elevator up to the third floor where the restaurant is located. The decor is exceptional the art work is so different and whimsical it makes me think of Alice and Wonderland. You're able to see the cooking school when walking to the dining area something I think I will look into for the future. The host was great and he was very attentive even after we had been seated for a while he came back to add lights to our table since we were seated outside and the sun had gone down, something I greatly appreciated because we were struggling to read the menus in the dark. Our server KeeKee (might be misspelled) was very nice she did seem a bit overwhelmed as she mentioned she had a VERY large party that didn't seem mindful that she might have other tables. With that being taken into account she still did a good job overall and was very personable. What we ordered: Drinks Classic Old Fashioned ($20): not overly alcohol forward and had a good overall flavor profile. 8.5/10 I had a diet coke, somewhat flat but it could have just been my taste buds that night. Starters Yeast Rolls ($10): There was a little bit of a wait on them, but the hostess explained that at the time of ordering they were currently out. We didn't mind because the bread was so fresh and melted the whipped can syrup butter so easily. The bread nearly melted in your mouth as well and getting it so fresh was truly a treat. 10/10 Little Gem ($16): The salad was good I had eaten most of it before I noticed the conecuh bacon, my favorite part of it had to be the fresh fried onions that topped it. It was a good salad but nothing about it stood out more than any other salad but it was still very good and large enough to share 8/10 Chicken Fried Bacon ($12): We weren't exactly sure what to expect when ordering, but what we received was bacon that was literally deep fried in batter like chicken would be. We were definitely shocked! It was served with Wickles pickles, hot honey and pimento cheese. I enjoyed it most with the hot honey drizzled on top it really set the flavors off. 9/10 Entrees Blackend Grouper ($42): The grouper had great flavor I would have loved to have more of the grits to go with it. The size of the grouper was perfect and it was blackend perfectly with just the right amount of kick. 8/10 Ribeye ($48): Well seasoned and tender, the broccolini paired so well and the Pumpkin see gremolata just set it over the top. Everything wen together to make it arguably one of the best steaks we've had in Birmingham. So tender you barely even needed a knife to cut. 9/10 I would recommend this restaurant if you are wanting to go somewhere with a nice view away from the city that also has good food. The outside area is perfect for drinks anytime of day, with fire pits helping as the sun goes down to offer warmth. The price is comparable to that of most nicer restaurants so it was not a shocker it was on par.

When we were seated we were not provided a happy hour menu and the waitress didn't even know about it until we told her it was listed online. Drinks were more than double on the regular menu. I will say their house wine, Kessler is good especially for $7 a glass. Spritzers are great! Brussel sprouts, rolls and yellow beets were great apps. I was disappointed in my Low Country Boil especially for $33. The shrimp had heads on and the Conecuh Sausage was only at the bottom so at first I thought it was missing. The only thing great about it was the seasoning on the corn. My friends said the trout was good as well as the banana pudding. The rooftop is amazing so I will say you must be paying for atmosphere. A nice touch to keep in mind is the fire pit that is available all year round.
