If you are looking for an outstanding dining experience, I would recommend you to try Chuck's! I booked a New Year Eve reservation mid December and was able to get the only availability for 8:30pm. A little late for us but it worked out to bring in the new year. A great atmosphere for dining and very comfortable. We started with some fabulous appetizers of a wedge salad, bread service and seafood gumbo. All was divine! It really left us full so we went with a lighter affair of sushi for the next course. We had the Zoo and Backdown Rolls and they did an amazing job with both. We took dessert to go which my favorite has always been their bread pudding but I also got the key lime pie which I think is now my new fave! This was a great dining experience to end 2025.

We've been here twice now for birthdays, and it's officially become one of our go-to celebration spots! If the fried oysters are on the seasonal menu, RECOMMEND! They're fresh, never frozen, and you can taste the difference in the light, crisp batter. We also always recommend the fresh catch of the day. We've had the sautéed fish of the day twice now, and each time it was cooked perfectly. Surprisingly, the potato cake on the side totally stole the show. For sushi, go with something featuring raw fish, the quality really makes a difference. We preferred the raw fish rolls over the soft-shell crab roll, and the sashimi was an excellent starter. The tuna and yellowtail were definite favorites. Service is consistently impeccable. We brought a birthday cake, and they happily stored it, then brought it out with candles and plates when it was time. A perfect spot for a special occasion!

The ambiance was great and better than I expected. We didn't know this was more of a sushi spot-- we wanted to come for oysters in the half shell which they only have occasionally. We had sushi and enjoyed fried oysters as an appetizer which was delicious. The sushi was also pretty good and freshly prepared. My favorite was the spider roll.

This was my first time dining at Chuck's Fish, and it couldn't have been a better experience. We had a reservation for a celebratory dinner, and everything from start to finish was truly great. The atmosphere was very lively inside, but despite the crowd, the service was absolutely stellar. We started with the bread and calamari, both delicious, and then tried the donkey in crack from the secret menu -- the rolls were huge, fresh, and so good. It was definitely a standout. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but once inside, the experience more than made up for it. I'd absolutely return and highly recommend Chuck's Fish for a fun night out or any special occasion.

Chucks is one of my favorite local sushi and seafood restaurants. Fresh snapper from the Gulf is my favorite seafood dish and all of their sushi is top grade. Great ambiance and lots of the staff has been there for over 10 years. Celebrated my birthday there last month and had the bread pudding, very tasty.

excellent service! great food! highly recommend. least favorite thing brussel sprouts but not a huge fan. Didn't love that you don't pick your sides. I would have picked a different side for 1. I did like 1 side. Highly recommend grilled asiago bread, uptown shrimp, crab cakes, coleslaw. We got a piece of cheesecake Togo that was Praline. It had a cinnamon flavor to the pecans and I have never had praline that was cinnamon flavor so that was odd to me. Wasn't bad just not the flavor we expected.

First time visiting this established spot. I had heard of it and now I know why! Parking is tricky, so be prepared if it's busy. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Our server was amazing. We started with the grilled Asiago bread ($7) and uptown shrimp ($18). Both are great shareable items and delicious. Next we had the TNT roll ($22) that was amazing. My entree was the gulf fish of the day - Red Snapper grilled with lemon caper sauce with a Gouda grit cake and green beans.....wow! It was amazing! You can't go wrong with anything here. The service and food are outstanding!

We were delighted with friendly and attentive service at Chuck's Fish. Our server, Bob, recommended delicious dishes that didn't disappoint. The amberjack was amazing. The fish collars were scrumptious. I can't recall the name of the pasta stuffed with beef and topped with shrimp, but it was divine. We'll definitely be back!

So glad we decided to try this place for dinner! We sat at the bar and our service was amazing despite them being busy. We loved our sushi and everything came our way faster than expected. Would love to go back.

1st visit service was excellent, 2nd service was friendly but so slow. Seating inside was good, outside would be better with a little more Cousy for the Tousy, Fish both times, Grouper sautéed with asparagus risotto, Red Fish bronzed with tomato risotto. Both excellent. I guess the market prices were fair? Well over a hundred dollars, for no appetizer, no dessert and no alcohol, just water. I need to be a fisherman.

This place makes me want to go to Italy even more. And its "dark" presence makes me happy, the music is calming--giving a ballroom vibe, and the table I sat at gave a very fascinating view of the entire place. Super romantic atmosphere! Wear a little glitz so you shine for your man in the dim romantic light! Heavy curtains, cozy booths, expensive artwork with special indirect lighting, and exquisite 5 star service and food combine to make a memorable evening. When your salad fork comes properly chilled and you are served immediately with complimentary bruschetta, one realizes Amore is no regular restaurant! I had slightly spicy Italian sausage and mushroom pesto pasta and hubby had Shrimp Alfredo. Both were excellent. They included generous serving of green salad which had nice additions to the lettuce with house made vinegarette. The bread was fabulous also, offered with olive oil and spices. The location of Amore is a lovely two story strip center, so it is a bit of a hidden jewel. We had barely saved room for a special dessert next door! We drove the short distance to Cedar Lane leading to the precious little Italian village ( Villagio Colafrancesco) hidden in the woods to the right of the shopping center with Amore. Park behind the strip center. Check hours as usually only open on Thurs, Fri and Saturday but this is the way to end a most romantic evening! Tiny lights and a gorgeous restored farmhouse complete the village with its Italian coffee shop and the best gelato outside of Italy. They even have some nondairy sorbet. Tell your lady to bring a large shawl in case it's chilly inside ( no low cut or super short dresses allowed as this is run by a Catholic group that has a large farm not far away)! They also offer organic milk and cheese and meat to order from their gift shop. Don't miss their Sistine Chapel style painted rest room too! Overall, our friends were so delighted with a true Italian experience!

We thoroughly toured the list of French wines, imbibed on a couple of their yummy cocktails (my friend loves the "Last Word"). Service was, of course, fantastic. We were able to make a reservation for inside dining which I liked because it was a hot June Alabama day, but I would have preferred outside because it was so loud inside, there was no sound suppression, and the tables were very close together. The outside patio was nice and covered. Next time I will request to sit outside. We started with the sourdough bread which I highly recommend! There was enough pieces to have one while you waited for your dinner, and to save one to eat with your dinner. My husband ordered the deviled eggs and really enjoyed them. For our entree, we shared the roasted chicken. It was a half chicken with lemon, garlic, shallots and potato gratin. It was plenty for both of us. We even had leftovers. This is probably because of the appetizers and we had stopped for drinks at Cayo Coco before dinner. We usually skip dessert, but my husband really wanted to try the chocolate custard, bittersweet chocolate custard with chantilly cream. The presentation was beautiful. I had a couple of bites and it also tasted amazing. Our waiter recommended a dessert wine that paired with the custard. He let us try a couple of sips, and the sweet fruitiness really made a difference. The service was amazing. We will definitely be back.
