    Baked lobster crispy rice cakes
    Cailen R.

My experience at Sea Bar was so good that after I left I booked another reservation for 8 days later. Everything I ate was really good but my personal favorites were the wagyu fried rice and the duck. I really enjoyed the handroll and the lobster rice cakes as well. My server on my first visit (Chase) was so knowledgeable and helpful. He really made my time at the restaurant wonderful. My second server was also very fun and friendly. The restaurant has a nice vibe but can get very loud at times, so be mindful of that. Overall I loved it and will definitely be back!

Food first, thoughts after... A great night! The vibes are completely different from little bettys. It could also be the difference in season, but even at 7pm the restaurant atmosphere is bright with hints of pink. My favorite color! The service was amazing just like Little Betty's and my husband and I really enjoyed our time here. The food was delicious and the cocktails were great too! Located conveniently next door to little betty's in mountain brook village.

New alert! I was blown away by Sea Bar -- the seafood/asian fusion spin is perfect. I will be, with haste, trying to recreate the cucumber appetizer on my own. Spicy chili, great crunch. That was certainly a standout for me. I came with two friends and we split everything. We got the lobster crispy rice bite appetizer to start, too. Awesome. For entrees, we had the wagyu fried rice, salmon sushi, and duck. The salmon sushi had a great citrus/lemon flavor that I'd never had on sushi before. Delicious. The wagyu fried rice was a generous portion with perfectly cooked steak pieces and a tasty flavor. The duck leg was also incredible. It came with some seaweed to assemble our own handrolls, which was super fun. The squash puree that came under it was so tasty. All in all, everything was delicious, and had a spin on it that made it a new flavor to me, which was so exciting. We ended the night with the matcha cake, which was prepared like a tres leches. It was perfection. Service was fantastic, and the inside is beautiful. I normally don't love a light color interior for evening dining, but the blush pink gave a beautiful warm light. I'll be back! I hope that they open for lunch soon! I'd love a lunch option for the lobster roll :).

As someone who loves Little Betty Steak Bar, I've been eager to try their Sea Bar. It did not disappoint. Our waitress was amazinggg! We had lots of questions and she was so helpful. She suggested her favorite cocktail and I was not a fan. I told her and she was so helpful in choosing something I would like instead. We ordered a roll and it was delicioussss! I want to come back and try the rest. The lobster was brought out on like a mini heated plate that you allow to finish searing at the table. We also got steak and rice. We did not have a single bad item. It was amazing! It is a dimly lit restaurant making it the perfect location for a date night or celebration. Looking forward to returning!

I'm still thinking about that millionaire's fish sandwich. Every bite of food I ate was delectable and I ate everything. The service was impeccable. The restaurant is gorgeous. Was worth every penny! Olivia is a doll there were 2 other exceptional female bartenders but I'm blanking on their names Madison feels correct and the other girl's name started with a J. I could not have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate my birthday! Truly a beautiful experience.

The food was amazing. We had the whole branzino- delicious, cucumber dish as a side, chips with caviar- chefs kiss and wagyu sushi roll- otherworldly. Our server was very accommodating and attentive. It was kind of quiet but didn't feel stuffy. Everything was swell.

Wow, Lil Betty's Seabar truly makes its mark! My dining experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment the door attendant greeted us with a warm smile to the bubbly hostesses checking us in, and finally our phenomenal server, Ms. Olivia, the service was impeccable. Fierce, friendly, and insightful, her recommendations from start to finish were perfect. She thoughtfully checked on me and my forever love, always reminding us to savor our meal and enjoy every bite--attentive without being overbearing. Plus, she's beautiful with a contagious personality. And the food? Absolutely a 10/10! If you're not into sushi, you might think this isn't your place at first. But I encourage you to give it a try. Their roasted cod fish is as stunning as the restaurant itself and bursting with incredible flavors. Usually, I have leftovers, but not this time--delicious enough to finish in one go! The bartender also deserves a shoutout for crafting a fabulous French 75--mine was made with Hendricks. Now what's a phenomenal meal without a happy ending? Unfortunately, I was too stuffed and had to pass on the dessert, but next time, for sure.

The service and ambiance was awesome. Unfortunately, I wasn't as impressed with the selections. The drinks were good. Not exactly what I expected.

And I express my thanks to my servers and bartenders, who were not only attentive in service, but also offered recommendations which led me to a great dining experience. In short, I had the following: -dry-aged Shima Ahi crudo ( flew in from Japan) -a Mordella sandwich, and -peach fried pie. My wine pairing for my dishes was a California Albariño, which was a great surprise. I'm now searching for this winemaker to add bottles to my cellar. Every dish I tried was my favorite in its own way. Each meal was well-balanced and highlighted the flavors of every ingredient. The mortadella sandwiches featured a playful twist with Cobia fish, and the house-made focaccia bread, where the mortadella and Cobia spread are nestled, was truly what focaccia dreams are made of. Plus the garlic aioli for the fries is money !!! And the peach fried hand pie was the perfect end to a great meal. The aromatics of caramelized glaze comes across like it might be super sweet. But when you bit into the flaky buttermilk pastry crust it gave it a warm, humble feeling with the perfectly diced peaches pie filling adding the right touch of sweetness. And as a special treat, this hand pie is paired with a sour cream-lemon sorbet which I didn't know I needed in my life that was refreshing. The peach fried pie is a seasonal dessert, so enjoy it while you can. Overall, the ambiance and music were spot on making it a vibe that you definitely want to come for dinner or just enjoy cocktails which looked really yummy( but that's for another time ). The unique decor, with a mix of midcentury meets fisherman lighting and a crowned octopus handles tap beer, was a lovely detail when you get to sit back and enjoy. Even the plateware where food sits on is crafted by a local Bham female artisan at Civil Stoneware, is a nice touch ( which I was obsessed with ). I hope your experience is as great as mine. Happy dining y'all!

We were seated promptly handed menus and about 30 seconds later approached by the waitress for drink orders. We asked for a drink menu as there was nothing to advertise what drinks they were serving. She returned with 1 drink menu for all 3 of us and stood there waiting until we decided. We asked for some time so she left and returned about 2 mins later. We ordered drinks and she returned 2 mins later to take our food order. We ordered appetizers, salad and main courses. The drinks came quickly, the salads came right after and then about 3 mins later, the appetizers came out. 3 mins after that, the main courses arrived so we had plates stacked everywhere on the table and quickly tried to finish our salads and appetizers before the main dish got cold. The waitress never returned to the table until she brought the bill. The plates were all cleared by someone else. We saw her leave a bill at the table next to us and wait until they checked it over and figured out a payment method, so when she arrived at our table we just handed her a credit card. The food was average but the overall experience was terrible. I realize she was probably new and this may have been her first night but some training would go a long way! For $180 dinner, we expected a lot more.

Phenomenal dining experience!!…read more Service was top notch from the hostess and host, our waiter and all of the runners. Attentive without being obnoxious, in depth explanations of items on the menu with great recommendations! We started with a half dozen raw oysters and the pork belly. Oysters were very fresh and the seasoned crackers were a nice touch. The pork belly was quite possibly the best we've ever had and we're slight snobs about it. The fennel and orange mixture was a unique blend that really complemented the smokiness of the pork belly, Our steaks were melt in your mouth good. Cooked perfectly! I wished I could've just taken a massive bowl of the macaroni and cheese home. The char on the broccolini balanced the richness of the macaroni. They were sadly out of the crème brûlée, so instead I had the vanilla and peach gelato, while my husband had the chocolate l'orange cake. The vanilla gelato had the perfect rich vanilla taste. The peach didn't taste much like peach, but the flavor was still good. The cake was light and fluffy with a great balance of chocolate and orange. The candied orange peel on top was a nice touch! The atmosphere is pretty busy so it was louder than I was expecting. It's spectacular every time. The rotating menu keeps things fresh and interesting, and every dish we've had has been thoughtfully prepared and consistently excellent. The kitchen is clearly doing something special and it's a big reason we keep coming back. This visit, however, the service was unusually slow. Our dinner lasted about two hours (7:30-9:30) on a night that didn't seem particularly busy. There was a noticeable lull in the dining room with quite a few open tables, yet it still took nearly 40 minutes between finishing our appetizers and receiving our main courses. The pacing just felt off compared to past visits. Valet (which I understand isn't directly run by the restaurant) was also a bit slow -- about a 15 minute wait to get our car at the end of the night. All that said, Armour House is still a really special spot with incredible food and we'll absolutely be back. Sharing this feedback because we've had such great experiences here before and hope this was just an off night.
