Dare I say SPA! This office is like a SPA . It doesn't have the typical Dental vibe. The staff here are super friendly. Well educated and more like an EXECUTIVE LUXURY Spa staff. They really set the ambiance for what appears to be a day of pampering for your teeth. The old vision of Dentistry has been erased. They really pay attention to detail and are very thorough. I have the luxury of having a large family of dentists in my hometown of VA - so in my life in Florida, I have no need to have a primary Dentist. Yep, it's literally cheaper to fly home then meet deductibles and hit costs. As I navigate through temporaries awaiting my permanents - I had one fall off needing replacement. Out of the numerous Mills50 DDS I worked with, Dr. Puigs office was the only one to listen to my story, quote an offer ($30 more than the average, the only downfall) and book me immediately. First - the office is unbelievably gorgeous and contemporary. Clean and professional in its personal and brick and mortar. Special shout out to the immaculately uniformed reception team - poised and contemporary in approach. Julie, in particular was fantastic to work with. My in chair experience with Dr. Puig found her quick, concise and connective - ready to focus on the issue and quickly resolve. I came to her for a consultation and knew immediately I was going to her for my cosmetic restoration. She was courteous and helpful, and spent time coordinating procedures in a great timeframe and working with my crazy pre-wedding schedule. Almost two years ago, I had a horrible experience with this dentist and wrote a detailed review on Google Reviews. Naturally, everything I said was disputed by the office or apologized for. I feel it is most important to write this follow up to the inadequate dentistry that was my experience in this office. Three crowns were completed in my mouth by Dr. Puig. I paid the full bill. Teeth were adjoining - numbers 2,3 and 4. During the time the work was being done, I ended up needing a root canal on #2 tooth. I was told, "I told you there was a 50-50 chance" (the tooth would fail). I don't remember her ever telling me that before the preparation began. I was in pain for a month while the office continually advised me to chew on the other side. I finally self-referred myself to an endodontist who diagnosed the tooth in need of root canal. Since the three teeth were already prepped for crowns and I was wearing temporary crowns, I felt I needed to go ahead and finish the work. I would be required to pay anyway. The three crowns looked like three chicklets in my mouth. The installation of the crowns was so poorly done that I chose to go to another dentist to adjust my bite. That was January of 2017. Fast forward to today. The #2 crown cracked in my mouth. When my current extremely skilled and totally amazingly talented prosthodontist removed the cracked #2 crown (it had to be replaced), he found major decay beneath the crown. While he was removing #2 crown, he commented how poor the margins were on #3 tooth. I said "Then, get that one off, too." There was major decay under #3 crown as well. He was barely able to save that tooth and said it probably will only last for 5 more years. Here is what my prosthodontist explained to me about the work that was there (Dr. Puig's work) Due to the poor margins of the two crowns, decay found underneath can only be explained in either of 2 ways: 1) the crown was placed over a tooth with decay already present or 2) the poor margins of the crowns at the gumline permitted decay to occur underneath. He also told me that the material used for the crowns was not the best available. Not strong enough porcelain. Much better quality porcelain is available that goes through a much more rigorous baking period. Maybe no other patients of Dr. Puig are able to assess her quality of dentistry but I am so extremely unsatisfied and upset by my experience that I felt it was my civic duty to inform the general public who is looking for reviews. In addition, they are very thorough (you fill out a questionnaire for the 1st visit about your treatment preferences) and will provide an extensive explanation of dental procedures as well as treatment options. The office offers a relaxed atmosphere and staff members are sensitive to patients with anxiety issues. I initially found Dynamic Smile Design after relocating and searching for a sedation dentist. Years of difficulty with becoming numb during dental work made me anxious and apprehensive about finding a new dentist. After researching online, leaving voice messages, and emailing various Orlando dentists...Dr. Puig's office was the only one to respond (and promptly). I have a sales management background and it is an immediate deal breaker for me if a business does not properly respond to my inquiries within a reasonable amount of time. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Puig & her staff for the first time today, and I do not even know where to begin. From the moment I walked in to their office, I was blown away. The office itself is beautiful & so welcoming, but the staff is what makes this place so special. Upon my arrival, I was politely greeted by Ethel and Julie, offered something to drink, given a tour of the facility, and escorted back to a consult room. Within a few seconds, Dr. Puig came in, introduced herself, and welcomed me with a great big smile. We talked for a few minutes about my dental needs/expectations and past experiences, but she also expressed a sincere interest in my life, asking about my husband, my young son, and my line of work. Following the initial consultation, I was taken back to meet Diane, one of Dr. Puig's hygienists and her and Dr. Puig began a full, thorough examination of my teeth and gums. Following my exam, Dr. Puig explained in detail the treatment that I would need and offered to get started right then and there. She answered every single question I had, no matter how silly the question or how many times I asked the same one. Then, we got started. I have always had an intense fear of pain during dental procedures and Dr. Puig truly came through on her promise to me to make sure I was comfortable and without pain throughout the course of the procedure. Her and Diane spoke to me while performing the fillings, checked on me, and made sure that I was doing okay throughout. Following the procedure, Dr. Puig explained in great detail what was done and what she saw, and, again, answered any and all questions that I had. Diane then got me some Tylenol and a protein shake, and made sure that I was doing well following the dental work I just had done before escorting me up front to check out... I could literally go on for days, but the point is this: My visit at Dynamic Smile Design with Dr. Puig and her staff from start to finish was, by far, the greatest dental experience I have ever had... and just when I thought I couldn't say enough, Dr. Puig took the time (after hours) to call me from her cell phone to make sure that I was doing okay. The walls at Dr. Puig's office are filled with awards Dr. Puig has received for dental excellence.... and it's no question as to why. I have found my new dentist and I will NEVER go anywhere else.
