Before the doctor walked in a person that worked there saw & heard my frustration and gave me there phone number so I would be able to call them in case it ever happens again which I thought was very nice.I am on day #8 still in a lot of pain lost 20 LBS I pray for the pain to go away and I hope in the end this was all worth it. I also think who ever runs this site should let all comments good and bad should be posted when u see just the good comments u know there is something wrong. I hope everyone will see my post and I will keep everyone informed on my journey I do hope it was all worth it. Ok so I just had my 2 week visit it went much better then I expected. I really thought something was wrong because all of the pain I was in today was the first day that I was really able to deal with the pain and they put my mind at ease letting me know that there was no infection. The staff and the doctors were really nice and I thank them for all they have done for me it was a rough two weeks for me, but I am hoping the pain will get less every day and the teeth look great.

It was in 3D with color. I was a bit skeptical because of my experience at sage dental but they said not to worry. After going over some of my goals for my smile I felt so relaxed. The dentist understood everything and answered all of my questions. After that I got to relax and watch my show on Netflix because they had TVs mounted on the ceiling while you get your cleaning done. Now the cleaning was such a peaceful moment. She cleaned my teeth with so much care. There were three flavors of toothpaste for the cleaning. I got to try the cinnamon and one other. I really enjoyed the cinnamon but decided to stick with the other that I cannot recall. I even got walked out and was gifted a tumbler too. I absolutely love my new dental office.

Do they not realize that people take time off work for appointments like this? At 11:15am I was brought back into my room, then they took x-rays which took about five minutes, and they left me by saying "someome will be with you shortly." Thirty minutes later, someone came by and told me the dentist would be right with me. Another 15 minutes passed, the dentist came by and looked at my x-rays, told me I had several cavities that needed to be filled or (painted?) over and I was recommended invisalign (I had braces before already). I was shocked and asked to see because I've never so much been told I have plaque. I'm no dental expert but I wasn't able to see anything beyond what I've been told is normal. She asked me if I had any questions and I asked if they were going to do fillings today. She told me no, that would be a separate appointment. They told me they'd give me quotes for everything (nearly $3k for fillings - again, I've never had them before so I don't know if this is normal for 2 fillings) and started ushering me out. I asked when they were doing the cleaning and was told that's a separate appointment again, but they could fit me in after lunch if I was willing to wait. I told them I waited enough ... I had been there 3 hours at this point and hadn't even gotten the one thing I booked. I would not go back and I made that clear. Later, they contacted me by texting "hey" and nothing else ... I texted back "who is this?" and they responded "Ideal Dental" and asked to book my next appointment. SO unprofessional.

During the exam, the dentist told me I had 10 cavities and urgently needed fillings and a deep cleaning. He said that if I didn't move forward quickly, I could need root canals or worse. This was extremely alarming, especially since I've never had a cavity in my life. I told him I was close to open enrollment and might change dental insurance and return later. He warned that waiting would be detrimental to my dental health. He also had me look at my X-rays and pointed out all the supposed cavities, which added to the pressure and anxiety. After that, I was taken into a very small office where someone went over financing options. The total cost was in the thousands. I was then told, "Luckily, we have an opening for you today." The entire experience felt rushed, sales-driven, and more like a factory than a healthcare setting. I decided to leave and get a second opinion. I changed dental insurance and went to a different dentist today. After a full exam and X-rays, I was told I have zero cavities. I'm relieved, but also frustrated and concerned that I was put through so much stress and nearly convinced to undergo unnecessary and expensive dental work. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major treatment here.
