Find one you can trust who does good work and stick with them!! I trust Dr. Parpia and her staff. Bitsy is an awesome hygienist and all of the people that work there are super kind and helpful. The billing lady (sorry, forgot her name) was so HELPFUL while I was trying to figure out if getting individual dental insurance was even worth it since it's usually not. The girls up front are always patient with scheduling and answering questions. I was referred by a good friend of mine and I'm so glad. Found out later that my sister-in-law also goes to this dental office! The proof is in the pudding. Thanks for being great, Dr. Parpia and staff!!

However, after he pulled 7 teeth within 10 minutes and rushed me out of his office, without property sedating me, I was miserable. He gave me 8 pills to help with pain which I took the first night, as the nurse told me to do if it was that bad. The day after I still had horrible bleeding, and ended up going to the hospital after I went into see him and he treated me like a junkie, barely looked at my mouth. The hospital ended up fixing my stitches and some of the work he did where he sawed down too much bone. I would NEVER wish anyone his butchering.

But, in this case, I can't help myself because I'm so excited by my good fortune at having found discovered such a fantastic dentist. He charged about 50% more than anyone else, wouldnt take insurance, and made you pay in full when you booked the appointment, but it was worth it. In November he discovered a cavity hidden under a crown, and the soonest I coul dget an appointment to fix it was February. (Case in point.) Reluctantly, I asked if he could recommend someone else, and he suggested Dr. Jay Arnold. Holy cow. My first impression was pretty good when I went in for a quick check in early December. No long wait for an appointment, Beautiful office. Super friendly staff. Dr. Jay explained *everything*. AND he found not one but TWO cavities hidden under an old crown. Bad news, but at least his rates were a lot lower, and his office handled my insurance. Oh... but how long before I could get them take care of? Well, it's STILL mid-December, and he took care of them today. This is why I am so enthusiastic. Dr Arnold has the most high-tech dentistry I have every seen. That makes everything better and faster and easier on everyone. No waiting. No pain. And FAST - but not rushed. Dr. Arnold continued to explain everything and was just as freindly as his staff. In no time at all he was done and wishing me a Merry Christmas. Wow. If you know anything about crowns, you know that I have to go back for the "permanent" ones in a couple weeks. They are being produced in a lab using a digital 3D scan the technician took using a little camera that peeked around inside my mouth. No molds. No fitting. It'll be exact based on the 3D digital scan. If the lab was quicker, I could have had them today. Instead, I've got the temporaries which they produced in the office from a less durable material. They fit exactly the first time, too. But don't go here. I don't want it to get crowded.

I ended up losing the nerve in a tooth because of that and then had to have a root canal and get a crown. It turned out to be a pretty penny. In January I had a healthy mouth with no pain or issues and by February I had lost a tooth due to his work!!! The staff was very friendly and so was he but his work was not worth the pain, issues and cost. And the company also charged my insurance for a full mouth X-ray when it never happened. They cleared that up but the fact that it had to be corrected in the first place was not good!! Also, the actual office is nice and they gave me a nice goody bag for being a customer when I first visited. All great stuff but again, not when I lose a tooth because of his messes! Having Humana dental insurance and on Medicare 2 days before my appt the office informed me that…read morethey would charge me a consultation fee which is snot covered by Humana but that they would cover a examination of the procedures I need which my dentist sent me a referral note to any oral surgeon of my choosing so instead of contacting my dentist to consult with him about his findings the Oral Surgeon is charging me $256.00 which is not covered by Humana. They told me this is their procedure but I think it is a way of getting more money for one who on Medicare and Social Security. Not good !

Walking into the reception area, experienced easy check-in and quick filling up of the new patient paperwork. Did notice that the waiting room did not have any self-beverage amenities like water or coffee or tea (which is why have reduced a star) but the seats were so comfy, I actually had a little snooze! My appointment time was 1:30 and I was called in within 5 mins of that time, so they were fairly prompt. The nurse who took my blood pressure and explained the process was a wonderful person by the name of Patty and she was AWESOME! What impressed me the most was that she explained everything so well, and she probably has to run thru this same spiel umpteen times a day, but honestly you wouldn't know that cause she was so attentive! After the consult and the options were explained to me, I made a decision on the procedure, and was straightaway next directed to the office Mgr for payment. Then went back to the waiting room and was called a few minutes later and headed into surgery. My actual surgery was so quick and painless! I was honestly amazed at the dexterity with which Dr Garfinkel removed the tooth, I couldn't believe it was all done in 5 minutes! Patty then gave me detailed post-op instructions and 2.5 hours later I was headed home. It was a very good overall experience and apart from the lack of beverages availability, I didn't experience any other issues. Would absolutely recommend and suggest asking for Patty. Yelp 139 /2018
