Overall, this was an excellent experience from start to finish. What a fantastic practice with kind, caring, and knowledgeable staff. We have chosen this as our new dentist! Here's the correct one. " She said no. There was no further discussion on the subject as far as she was concerned. Funny thing, about a month later, I got a text message from the billing department at Dream Dental with "good news." They DID bill the correct policy number and got back over $800 in fees I had already paid. They asked if I wanted the check sent to me. I said yes. That was November 2024. I was so happy to have an extra $800 or so for the holidays! No check in November. No check in December. No check in January. I even called twice to follow up, and both times they acted like they had NO IDEA what I was talking about. I just hung up...I don't get into back-and-forth with people who are clearly jacking me around. Then it occurred to me. I had a cleaning scheduled in February 2025, and they are SITTING ON that money till I come in to put it towards other services they tell me I need. I called and cancelled the cleaning appointment without saying anything else. Guess what!?! The check arrived 3 days later.

We are both so grateful that we found Palm Springs Dental! Have had a couple of cleanings (with Lindsey) in the last year (wonderful experience with her too!). Today I saw Dr Schroeck because of sensitivity to heat and cold on one molar. I'd been putting it off for a few weeks because of my fear of fillings, crowns, root canals.... Melissa (Dental Asst) helped ease my fears and did all of the prep work for Dr Schroeck to evaluate my pain. He found a cracked filling and explained that best option was a crown. I was given the option to return another day to have that done or stay today and just get it taken care of. I chose to stay. I was also offered nitrous oxide to help ease my nerves (it worked great!). Dr Schroeck was very gentle and explained everything as he was working on my tooth. He made sure I wasn't experiencing any pain while he was drilling! I have a follow up appt in three weeks to get the permanent crown. I cannot recommend Palm Springs Dental enough! From the office staff to the dentists and dental assistants (and hygienists too!), I am so pleased with the care I've received at this practice!

Out of six I contacted, Altamonte Dental was the only one to answer their phone. I had to leave messages for the others, none of which were returned. Altamonte Dental set a friendly and welcoming tone from the first phone call through the entire visit. Dr. Plaza and his staff were very kind and very professional. The office is very clean and modern and everything about my visit was top-notch. I will definitely be returning and not at all hesitant to refer Dr. Plaza to others.

Asked on the phone if they could treat a young child of two years (the answer on the phone was yes, and to bring them in during my appointment). However when I arrived with them they seemed to be very uncomfortable with a young child and the doctor actually didn't look at their teeth, but instead one of the hygienists who "used to work at a pediatric dentist" did. 2. The teeth staining I had concern about (because they can lead to decay and infection) I was told was not a big concern. I was also advised against using fluoride toothpaste and to keep brushing their teeth using baby toothpaste. No additional instructions were given until they could spit better. At the time I felt informed and that my concerns were answered, but this was me putting too much trust in them I think, and how they present themselves as a "family dentistry for all ages". 3.My toddler now has two cavities because of following this advice (or lack of advice). I tried to do the right thing and go to a professional in advance, but I didn't get that here. I am extremely disheartened and wish I had skipped this place and brought my child to a pediatric dentist back then. My toddler is very likely facing oral surgery now because I was given false assurance that things were fine. *Please if you are a parent concerned about your young toddlers teeth look into a pediatric dentist first or at least make sure the doctor will actually look at your child's teeth as he didn't look at my child's directly. You could save yourself from a very unwanted and preventable situation!* My care for my own teeth was very good here, which is why it makes me especially sad that this situation happened because it seems as though they are kind enough and skilled enough but simply didn't take the situation seriously for my child . I have no issues with the care of my teeth, but I would never recommend this place for a young child's care based on my experience.
