I can only rate my stylist, not the whole salon. Unfortunately, my stylist was the owner. In my opinion of treatment, she did a half a@%$ job with my color and my haircut. I take part of the blame because I told her she could do whatever she thought might look good, but I wasn't expecting her to color 5 strands of hair and spend only 5 min on my haircut . It seemed like she was rushing to pick up her kids. Kids are okay; just make sure you schedule [people] in for enough time... or reschedule. My hair was in a terrible shape and I didn't see my color. I couldn't really tell until the next day. The only positive thing I could say about my experience, is the curl product she used was really nice. The WORST haircut I've ever received. Never have I been in and out of a salon in 20 minutes. I told her that I have curly hair and that I want it to stay curly when it's cut. I showed her a picture of the haircut I used to have, and she said it would be no problem. Little did I know that the cut would be uneven (I had to take scissors to it myself.) and would have the choppiest layers I've ever seen. I told her it was uneven and she didn't seem to care and instead tried to blow it out straight. I guess our definitions of "straight" were different, since I left with a puffball for hair that still had curls at the roots and underneath. Awful, awful technique. I'll have to get this fixed by someone, once it grows out a bit. Until then, my hair will be in the tiniest ponytail. read more

Cute salon, good location reasonably priced. I went here once and the owner trimmed my hair. When I got home i looked at the back of my hair, and it was not straight and there was a hole in the cut, not sure how that happened. Went here for wax and hair highlight/trim. The salon was cute at first. The waxing area was cramped but I managed to get a good brazilian wax. My hair cut was dull and the colorist was offensive in her conversation. The chairs were terribly uncomfortable and if you have to sit for 3 hours you hope to at least enjoy yourself. It seemed a bit unorganized and has that "almost" a great salon feel. Not a place I need to give a second chance. read more

WATCH OUT FOR HIDDEN FEES! On my first visit to the salon, I was definitely impressed by the decor and the stylist was sweet and personable. However, there wasn't a receptionist and my stylist had to interrupt the client (me) several times to answer the phone while the owner (I presume) went about with her other duties. At the end of the cut and dry the stylist began working my hair with a curling iron which I thought was odd, but dismissed as a 'new client' bonus. When ready to pay, I was charged $30 for a style I didn't ask for, and the single color process I had originally requested turned into a 2-color process, because apparently they do roots and ends separately. The stylist removed the $30 charge, since I didn't request the style. I should've commented on the color as well. All in all I feel as though I paid and extra $30-40 extra. I will not be returning. read more

This salon is beautiful inside. I can tell there was a lot of thought and effort that went into the space. After reading some of the reviews, however, it sounds like there is some karmic backlash. I heard she treated those who built out the space very poorly and didn't pay a lot of them. It's too bad because even if she were good I couldn't with a good conscience go to this place. read more

I've been quiet about this for a long time, but now have to speak up. Very, very disorganized I am sad to say. The salon is beautiful, no doubt. I've never had my hair done there, and have no plans to. I do love having mani/pedis, however, and after being courted by the owner that the prices were competitive, and that my price would be "close to what I was used to paying" (they were unable or unwilling to give to me a list of salon prices). I made an appt and was told the owner Kristin would "be here at that time" and I would speak to her about pricing, etc. I left my business card and said I would look forward to speaking with her. Additionally, I had some ideas about helping her boost her business and wanted to speak about that also. I arrived for my 10:30 a.m. appt. No Kristin to be found and she was "not expected to be in". I wrongly assumed my price would be close to what I pay at my regular nail place of 15 years. Needless to say, 2 and one half hours later for a regular mani/pedi...no gels or acrylics or anything special. I walked out of the salon $55 poorer, and I added a $10 tip. $65 gone and a ridiculous amount of time spent here for a procedure that should have been completed in an hour. (All told, this was three times more than I paid for my regular nail place, which isn't fancy, but the work is beyond terrific. ) During my session at DKS, I was asked if I wanted a scrub on my legs. I asked "is it extra", and before I could respond she was already slathering it on my legs. I never got a price for it. When I went up to the counter to pay, there was ,much discussion about the pricing for the mani/pedi and I knew I would never return. I asked as to when there would be some kind of salon pricing list, and it was "we're working on it." I've never set food in the place again. The stars are for the nice atmosphere and the good nailwork, but it took too long and the place is way too disorganized for me to ever return. I love to patronize small businesses rather than chains, but not this one, not now. There is tremendous potential here for a gold mine in business, with a great location. But please pull it together before the doors have to close. It would be a loss to Magnolia Park if that happens. read more

This Salon is beautiful, nicest salon in Burbank. It is decorated so chic and classy. Kristen the owner did hair for celebrities and worked at the studios before opening up this salon. She is so sweet and really cares about her clients needs. She does a great job doing my highlights and haircut. The other stylists are just as great, they are all so talented. When I lived here before I had seen Camille at another location just before I moved away. She did just such a great job on my hair!!! It took me a long time to track her down here at Dylan Keith in Burbank. Now I live about a good hour away. But my hair was in such need of repair that I drove the hour in rush-hour traffic just to see her. My hair is now back in the state of health and vitality. I saw a friend recommend this Salon on facebook and since I like to support local businesses I thought I'd try it out. My first visit I saw Kristen who is as nice as could be and gave me a great cut. She saw a red area on my scalp and when I said it had been there for a few months, she insisted I go see a dermatologist. It turned out to be surface skin cancer and they removed it successfully. I've seen plenty of other stylists who commented on the spot, but left it at that. Kristen really cares about her cleints and thanks to her I was able to get a cancer spot removed before it spread. Kristen demonstrated what I've found with everyone at Dylan Keith Salon, they really care. Everyone I've met is very professional, but also so nice and they seem to have fun working there. I have since seen Jools (Julie) as well and love my cut. I look forward to going back and am thrilled that I have found a new Salon. read more

I get my hair done by Tracy and she is beyond amazing. She specializes in extensions and she transformed my hair in just one appointment. I will keep Tracy as my stylist for as long as i can! DKS is a beautiful salon and the atmosphere is very warm, caring and friendly. My only negative is that the prices are a little on the high side and once you go back a second and third time the treatment isn't as thorough as it was the first time. I definitely will tell you that the brow wax is very expensive for what you get. I have no problems paying top dollar but then I do expect a better job that was done by the head Aesthetician. She is very very nice but I noticed when I got home that there was a lot of cleaning up I had to do and for the price and tip I should not have this problem. I think that the salon needs to stay grounded and consistent and not try to price gouge but just be fare and keep this beautiful business in Burbank a great place to go. read more

Wonderful salon! The whole experience is great from start to finish. The salon is decorated beautifully and you are offered something to drink (tea,coffee,wine,water) when you arrive. I had a facial and brow wax with Veronica and it was great! My face was glowing afterwards, and she was great with wax. I've had many bad eyebrow waxing experiences and I felt safe with Veronica. I had a haircut with Ruzanna on another visit and am OBSESSED with how great it looks. She fixed choppy, uneven layers that I'd recieved at a different salon and turned them into wispy ones that blend without taking off any length. Since I'm new to Burbank area I followed a friends recommendation to try Dylan Keith Salon. I was reluctant at first since I'm so used to using only barbershops. Kristin the owner cut my hair. The haircut was perfect. I was so comfortable with Kristin's that I even tried a "men's" facial. It was also something I had never tried before but change is good, right! I couldn't believe how smooth and clean my face felt. (Guys I promise you won't believe how fast you'll be able to shave.) What really impressed me about the salon is how clean and upscale the salon looks. I'm a bit OCD so cleanliness is everything wether I'm at a restaurant, salon or hotel! Dylan Keith Salon has that upscale look that sets itself from the rest but leaves you room for lunch afterwards. I now recommend Kristin's salon to all my friends and family. read more

I got married a couple of weeks ago and my wedding party and I had our hair and makeup done at the Dylan Keith Salon. Everyone working at the salon was so sweet and amazing to all of us. We were even served mimosas while we were pampered that morning. I cannot say enough great things about everyone there but I MUST say this, Keri (who did my hair) and Nicole (who did my makeup) were absolutely amazing. I have never felt so beautiful in my entire life. Keri was so thorough and took her time with my hair and the end result was fabulous. She paid attention to what I wanted my hair to look like and it was perfect. Nicole was the sweetest person and took so much time and care with my makeup. She is extremely talented and I highly reccomend her. I am so glad that we were able to spend the first part of my wedding day at the Dylan Keith Salon. Cami did a great job cutting my hair. She really nailed the "My hair is shorter than it was before but doesn't look like I just cut my hair" look, meaning she made it look natural. It usually takes me about two weeks to like the way my hair looks after a haircut because it has to grow out a bit for it not to look too choppy, but she did this great technique I've never seen used before in hairstyling that gave it a very graceful feel. I've been to the Salon twice in the last 3 months, and LUV IT. Both times, Gaby Martinez, the Manager/Stylist cut my hair. The second visit I got color as well, which turned out fab! Gaby really listened to me and the color is exactly what I asked for. The first cut was good, but the second cut was awesome! I've gotten so many compliments, even from strangers! Everyone at the salon is so pleasant, and there's a great energy level. Plus, its a one place stop since there's a make up artist, manicurist, waxing, product and jewelry sales, and of course lots of stylists so walk-ins never have a long wait. In fact, I was a walk-in for my first visit. The location of the Salon is perfect; loads of unique shops and restaurants, so you can make a full day of it if you want. I am giving my review of Anna, the new stylist with the red hair. I found Anna through a Groupon with another salon. It has been 3 years that I have been going to her and she just moved to Dylan Keith Salon so I followed her there. I got my hair cut, colored and my feather extensions tightened on Saturday and I'm very happy with the results. The salon is nice, parking was plenty at 9:30 AM but gets crowed as the day goes on. Even though I can no longer walk to get my hair done, the drive is worth it, if I can still have Anna do my hair. Ask for Anna, she does great work!!! read more

She listens to every single thing and request, I ask. As a woman, my hair must be: fashionable, grey-free (with rich color), workable hair cut, and looks great for 4-6 weeks. She accommodates, all of that and more. I recently went to her for a new hairstyle, I was attending a family wedding, with people I haven't seen in many, many, years. I have been told that my skin and features, are aging well. But the hair, had to be perfect (it's thick with natural curl). The compliments I received, at the wedding, made me feel, like 50, again.
