Really small intimate space with lovely decor. Went with a few friends and we were greeted warmly. Loved the food! The eggplant dip was amazing (not your typical middle eastern type, though I like that too). Delicious salmon. My wife, adult son and I had an early dinner here. Both the food and the service was very good. My wife had the chicken barg and I had the steak. My son had the stew. The Persian flavors were excellent and came through without being overdone. The prices were a bit higher than I expected. The prices were on par with Rumi's and DelBar but the atmosphere wasn't nearly as high end. I would expect that this place has a much better vibe after dark. When there are other customers there the food is outstanding just a little pricey. read more

Hidden gem! Read that Dyar has GF options and I had seen the spot last time I was across the street at the Ground and Pound coffee shop. Decided to make this the first night (1/7) of birthday celebrations. We were not disappointed. Great ambiance, selection of beverages and delicious food. Best saffron rice ever!!! I have seen several establishments come and go at this location. I would be very disappointed to see DYAR leave. The setting is intimate and warm. The libations were fresh and delicious. The Cosmopolitan was one of the best I've had. The starters were creative, beautifully presented and delicious. I could have stopped there, but I didn't. I devoured a succulent rack of lamb that was the best, juiciest, piece of lamb I've ever eaten. The rice and roasted tomato were perfect accompaniments. The dessert was the weakest link, but I'm not a dessert lover so I'm not the best judge of this. The service was impeccable, the chef came to our table and gave us personal suggestions, which were spot on. Run, don't walk to this undiscovered jewel. Go hungry and get ready to explore a culinary expedition. I can't wait to return. All six of our party loved our choices. read more

We recently enjoyed a Celebration of Life and a fabulous lunch at Dyar Persian Grill. Very cozy and intimate, very nice ambience and a full bar. They were very accommodating in every way, and the food was fabulous. After 40 years of marriage to a Persian (who is an amazing cook, along with his sisters), I've tasted a LOT of Persian food, and Dyar is authentic and delicious. Thank you, Alex, for a lovely day. We tried this new restaurant tonight and it was delicious. The owner is a very nice guy, originally from New Jersey. Following a spirited discussion of New Jersey diners, he pointed us to a number of delicious appetizers, main courses and rice dishes. We tried 4 appetizers plus Barg (filet of beef) and saffron rice; all were absolutely great. We will definitely be back soon with our friends in town. Dyar is a one of a kind restaurant! The food, the service, and the atmosphere is all amazing! You will not get enough of the appetizers and bread. There is a wide range of appetizers like delicious eggplant, yogurt, and even chicken wings that will melt in your mouth. The bread is fresh to order! The cocktail drinks are top notch as well. My family and I got family style for our main food with a variety of beef, chicken, lamb, and fish. We couldn't stop eating. We also all got a plate of rice to enjoy our food with.
