A fun name for a fun little coffee shop. It's an extremely cozy and chill atmosphere, with indoor and outdoor seating. But they not only have coffee, also cocktails. Some coffee-based cocktails too, for whatever way you're feeling. I got a mocha and it was good, sweet and what I wanted. They have some movie/entertainment memorabilia all around too which is fun. Checked out Ground & Pound coffee that was recommended by a friend of mine. So glad that I went! They have a wide range of coffee as well as local beer and cocktails. I tried the matcha as well as a couple of the coffees and all were great. The founder was the Pink Power Ranger which is so cool! Will be back to try more of the menu read more

My husband and I walked into this coffee shop for the first time about a month ago. Since then, we've been here almost once a week, if not more. The inside of this coffee shop is like stepping into a 90's nostalgia heaven. This shop never seems to have any downtime (as it is always full), but that doesn't slow the amazing staff from being ready and willing to give their recommendations on their favorite items - as well as top notch service! During my most recent visit, my husband and I ordered two iced drinks, Apple Butter/Vanilla Latte and a Blueberry Matcha. Both are our go-to drinks here and are so full of flavor. My husband ordered The Pounder, a breakfast burrito that is one of the shops best sellers. You can order this item with either Sausage, Bacon, or Chorizo. We've tried the sausage and chorizo, and both have been great! I ordered the Bagel with Lox and it was so filling. We came there for trivia and though there was nothing there for us to order to eat and we have some dietary restrictions, she would not leave us alone in rudely demanding that we buy something necause how dare we. her menu is small, I don't want coffee at 8pm and i wasn't there for her. Sophia made such an awesome macchiato. I initially asked for a cortado but didn't want too much milk (didn't know much about coffee), and she recommended a macchiato instead. And to my surprise, she extracted it so well. It was sweet and chcolatey. I loved it so much that for the past week I've been researching to purchase my own espresso machine and learning how to make it myself (and realizing how costly this is!) Visited this breakfast/lunch spot randomly this morning on the way to an appointment in the same plaza. The staff was so friendly as soon as I walked in. Then I realized this is a place that regulars go to because they were calling people by their first names hahaha. The music was great! Definitely a vibe. Apparently they have trivia nights, live music nights, etc. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a croissant (cheese eggs and bacon). I was iffy on the sandwich, I felt like it needed more flavor. The bacon helped, but I wish the eggs had more cheese on them. I would still come back and probably try something different next time though. I also need to try one of their coffees. I came here to get a coffee as a morning date. This was the first time, and we drove by it so many times before. Inside, you'll find a bar with breakfast along with some awesome tunes. They were playing a millennial's music, just all bumps and the decoration here was geared towards the 90s. Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Check. Power Rangers? Check. Memorabilia that you haven't thought about for 25 years? Check. I got a quick coffee. The staff was really great, and I saw that they had a lot of events every day of the night. It works that they are both a coffee/bar. They had karaoke and even local comedians and artists come through and play on the stage that they have set up there. The morning we came I saw that there was a martini glass outside, so it must have been a good previous night. The coffee was great, just an iced latte. I would definitely recommend to go if you're near. They seem that they serve the community as I saw a lot of patrons that knew the barista. read more

What a fantastic place! I needed a late night coffee and found Ground & Pound. Tonight (Thursday) they are open until 10:00 and had a great trivia game going when we walked in. The vibe was rustic cozy and comfortable. The baristas were fantastic. And the coffee? Top notch. It was so pleasant we came back the next day and ordered a lox, cream cheese, and caper bagel and some multigrain toast with blueberry jam. This place is so good! It's small and cozy coffee shop. You order goody at the counter and then grab your number and sit down anywhere. The service was great and really felt like they cared during our whole visit. To the point where our table was a little wobbly and the barista made sure to help us stable the table. The food was also amazing. I had the lox and cream cheese breakfast sandwich and it did not disappoint. I order the Earl grey tea which was good. I stopped by here with my brother shortly after dark last Saturday evening. We'd spent part of the afternoon together and came to grab coffees to-go before I made my way back home. He comes here often and had mentioned it to me a couple of times, so I wanted to check it out. I'm not sure what the atmosphere is like on other days, but the lights were off and candles were burning on each table. We were greeted warmly as soon as we entered, and I took a quick glance at the large menu on the wall before ordering a hot lavender latte. Brother ordered his usual iced hazelnut latte. We took a seat at one of the tables while we waited. There were just a handful of people there at the time, all sitting quietly on their laptops. There was also a stage area where it looked as if the two young ladies who were standing there were getting ready to perform or already had... It didn't take long to receive our drinks. If you're on Holcomb Bridge it's further down pass 400 closer towards Peachtree Corner and Spaulding in the same shopping center as CVS and across the street from the Kroger's. The cafe has a cool industrial vibe with pipe shelving and chalkboard menu. I was able to try their London Fog which is earl gray tea with lavender and steam milk. The lavender calmed the bergamot in the Earl Gray and made it for a very satisfying cup. I will definitely be back for that 2nd cuppa! Thanks Sophia! read more

Literally, I have been watching the Federal Coffee since it closed earlier in the year. And lo and behold, when Ground & Pound followed me on Instagram last week, I was ecstatic to see they were back! My favorite drink was the Cool Sophia, which was a cold-shaken coffee drink with mint. Super refreshing and tasty! While many of the original Federal Coffee cold-shaken coffee drink (non-alcoholic) are gone, you can still ask for them. My drinks were made by Cool Sophia herself! A stunt double in her past life, she's taken up her life's second passion of coffee. I ordered the Cool Sophia (on the current menu), the Nutty Marquis (from the Federal Coffee's old menu), and the Doctor 24. The Nutty Marquis was tasty, and definitely nutty. Not my favorite, which is the Cool Sophia, but still a great alternative. The Doctor 24 is just Dr. Pepper, espresso and vanilla over ice. It was surprisingly satisfying! I'm so excited this location now exists and excited to keep coming back here often! read more

While I have really loved this place since I found it a few months ago I'm not sure I will be back. I loved coming here to relax and color. I have come and supported them at some of there evening events. Today I came early to color and wait for the show. And even though I'm sitting here the owner reserved all the tables as I sat here. When I finally noticed all tables now were reserved I asked so I have no where to sit for the show she said no. Now mind you when I came in I told her I was here to relax until the show. So while website says show up early to get seat, seats are limited. Apparently being here is not enough. I guess I will find another place to color and relax for coffee. So if you want to come for show call don't just come in because that apparently doesn't mean anything. I won't be back. Sad because I have loved meeting the staff here and the atmosphere.
