DO NOT SHOP HERE. I had a genuinely uncomfortable experience at the Culver City DXL. I came in intending to shop and instead was met with a curt, dismissive attitude that made it difficult to even browse. Aaron questioned whether I was purchasing items, made me feel uncomfortable looking through clothing, and handed me an unnecessary form to "protect commission." The overall tone felt super intimidating and very disrespectful, and I left feeling judged and unwelcome. Because of that treatment, I would not feel comfortable shopping here again. read more

Phenomenal experience. Best customer service you're going to get. This Culver City location is a true gem. What I also like about it is that they have a lot of the popular designs in stock. Claudia, the sales clerk was Great! She greeted us as we arrived, but left us alone and only asked us politely if we needed help. My husband hates it when anyone asks him if he needs help. He was on a mission, and found the white dress shirts, but couldn't find one in his size. I approached Claudia and she went to search the stock in the back, but they didn't have it, but offered to order it online for us. We found two pair of casual dress pants and Claudia helped us at the cashier. She ordered the white dress shirt for us. Standard shipping takes approximately 7- 10 days, but we chose to pay $7.95 to have it sent 2 Day. We paid for the casual dress pants and shirt together. We were in and out within 30 minutes. Overall the shopping experience was very pleasant for us. There is parking adjacent to the store on the southside of the building. Entrance to the parking lot is from Sepulveda, as you drive southbound. This building is NOT inside the Westfield Culver City shopping mall. It is across the street. read more

Went here because I have a work event and have not bought "nice" clothes in well over 5 years. I have lost about 90 lbs in the last 18 months but I was still wearing clothes from before that time. Honestly, when I have to look anything other than casual, I have no idea how to dress myself. Timothy was a huge help and got me all set for my event, as well as helped me find a few other shirts that really make me look nice (and more importantly, professional). Really glad I went and Timothy was super nice and understood how to help me find clothes that fit and looked good. Just a heads up, prices were not low, but to be fair, I don't think they were out of line. Just be advised this isn't a "discount" store, and you are paying for the assistance as well as the clothing in the cost (and as I mention, it is worth it). read more

I'd been in denial for about 5 years, thinking that somehow I was going to suddently drop 50#s. Today I decided to accept reality, and I made my first pilgrimage to DXL. I have to say, I'm sold! Sara greeted me immediately and was extremely helpful, gave me advice on size (which was spot on), answered any questions I had, ran back and forth to the changing room, and constantly checked in on me during my hour+ there looking for clothes. Benny, the manager, was also quick to help, which was appreciated. This go 'round I walked out with just a suit (nice suit!) and one pair of pants. Prices are comparable to anything you'll find at the Mall at regular price. For bigger men this should definitely be your first stop. I'll be back! read more

This is the second time I have placed an online order with this DXL for curbside pickup and as always there is a problem. At the time I placed the order the product was in stock but 48 hours later I received an email that the product is now out of stock and there is nothing in the entire store that it can be replaced with. All I needed was a white polo and was told there were no white polos in the entire store and now I have to wait another 48 hours to get my money back. This was my first time shopping at DXL and I was blown away by the experience. The store itself is so clean, nice, and their selection is great. I was helped by Johnnie and he was so attentive, friendly, honest, knowledgable, patient, and helpful. As a bigger guy, I'm always a bit nervous shopping for clothes but Johnnie went above & beyond to make me feel welcomed. He measured me, showed me various brands/styles, made suggestions, and answered every question I had about the sizing and fit of the products. Go on Friday or Saturday and ask for SARA. She's friendly, humorous, knows what's in stock and honest. She makes sure you leave the store looking your very best. I keep returning to that store because of the great customer service! Bennie is the store manager and he has Impeccable customer service! This store and it's employees are just as great as the previous incarnation as Casual Male XL which until recently was just up Sepulveda a little bit further north of here. I've been here probably five times since they opened and I've always received excellent service and been more than pleased with the selection and quality of their clothes. Just recently I was in need of some suits, shirts, shoes and the like, so I popped in on a Saturday and had my best experience to date. An awesome guy and sales associate, Johnny, spent hours with me (not because he was incompetent, but because I'm very indecisive) going over available options and helping me figure out what I needed. He patiently waited while I tried on different suit pants and shirts and jackets and shoes, all the while engaging me in enjoyable conversation and helping other customers as needed. The rest of the staff is just as cool. Doris, Benny and Angie are genuine folks who not only enjoy their jobs, but are damn good at them. Now, I'm not encouraging you to put on 100 or so lbs so you can take advantage of this great store, but if you're a tall sunnavabitch and/or find yourself in the pleasantly portly category, this is a wonderful place to shop for clothes. I mean, I sweat when I blink, so it was a welcome treat when they offered me some paper towels and an ice cold bottle water after noticing me working up a lather popping in and out of the fitting room. They go above and beyond and that's why I'll continue to make this my first stop when it comes to my wardrobe. read more
