She called me a liar about my post. I thought it would be necessary to explain what she was unhappy about - First, the breakdown of charges. $338 total: $255 service $45 toner $38 (10%tip and tax) Second, due to a crazy storm in DFW, my third appointment there was cancelled. (Absolutely understandable! We can't control the weather... however, Erika knew my timeline that I was moving to Illinois May 30th - this was 9 days after my original appt on the 21st. She was unable to accommodate me, so naturally, I asked for a refund to use that money towards my new appointment elsewhere. I did not get a penny back.) Based on today, Erika did not want to give me back any of the money because I publicized my honest review. I hope this helps reflect the level of management's feistiness and lack of professionalism at this salon. On the bright side... I 10/10 recommend PureSana salon in Southlake! They were fantastic in hearing out my concerns, treated me with kindness and respect, and were able to produce everything I was hoping for. Shoutout Mikey!!! Truly made up for everything that I missed out on at my experience with Kalon salon.

I can't give a review on a single experience, because she has been my stylist since I was a teenager (no need to add those years up let's move on), whether I was in Amarillo (where she was based at the time) or not. If I lived in Austin or Dallas, I would drive 5-8 hours for Dannielle to do my hair. When I lived in California, I would fly 3 hours. She is simply the best. She will listen to what YOU want you hair to look like and make that happen. If she knows that a look is impossible for your hair type, she will be honest with you about that and try to work out something else great for you. If she does something to you hair you don't like, you can tell her. She's very open and professional and she will do her best to address the issue. Aside from being an expert and consummate professional, Dannielle is also one of the most kind, generous, and truly good people I know. My family has been going to her for decades. At this point it's impossible to call her our stylist. She's an amazing close family friend. You will feel this warmth as soon as you sit in her chair. She truly gets to know each client personally, and that connection makes her a great stylist because she develops a relationship with your hair. That sounds weird, but she starts to remember what you and your hair need every time you come back. Quick story: a few months ago she put an icy toner on my hair that totally did not work for my skin tone. I was like "girl NO. Get this out." And she immediately washed out that toner and put in the one I wanted. Same price for the service. This is just who Dannielle is. Once you sit in her chair, you'll never want to sit in another one.

I have left every appointment with Philip SO happy with my color, and we haven't even gotten around to totally fixing it (I've been out of town so much and haven't had time) to what I originally wanted at the other place a year ago, but my hair looks fantastic and I always feel SO much better leaving Studio 125. Not only that, but Philip is awesome at making just the right amount of conversation and doesn't make you feel awkward when (like me) you have to keep working while in the chair.
