I went back for first correction and was given all over color too many shades dark -like Monica from friends, after I told him I don't like super dark hair, it makes me feel Gothie. SPORT CLIPS CHANGED THEIR NAME, IT IS NOW GLEN ALAN. Sorriest excuse for a "high end" salon. I've now been here 2x and I've seen Anna both times. Both times after she "finished" my hair she mentions how it's not how she wanted it to turn out, so her response is to come back another day and we can fix it. After sitting in her chair for multiple hours the first time! The second time was this last week and she completely butchered my hair! Had me in her chair and out in 40 minutes with a half a** cut and color. The left side of my hair is literally 3 inches longer than the right. Not what I was going for, and clearly if this is what I wanted I would've went to sport clips and paid 10$ not 175$. Pitiful excuse for a salon! Don't expect them to take you seriously unless you're a uppity house wife, even though I pay what they pay if not more. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! read more

Updated: while my initial experience with Glen Alan was bad, this salon really went above and beyond to make it right! Holly followed up and apologized for the experience. She also helped me set up time with a different stylist, Lumi, who was great! The one small downside was that this salon could not do my hair using just color (which other hair stylists have been able to) and had to use bleach. Everything else was great about my 2nd visit! Thank you Holly and Lumi! ----------- I was very disappointed by this salon: 1) I wanted highlights done to cover growth from my previous highlights. All the growth is still showing (see pic). $200 is a lot to pay and then need to redo it all again. 2) When i checked out, the lady asked me how my appointment was, i said i was not happy with the highlights and she said literally "ah, well have a good thanksgiving" 3) my stylist melanie was very stressed. She had multiple customers at the same time. She didnt come to check the color of my highlights before washing - i was just taken to the hair wash station. After that, i had to wait for 40 min for a haircut. The haircut took 5 min and she didnt even cut the hair in the front. All was good until I called saying I might be 5-7 min late on my 3rd appt to this salon in a month. They called back and said that my stylist was not going to have enough time to do my gloss. I told them it was only 5 min from my appt and I was in thier parking lot. Nope, they wanted to reschedule me. I asked if they always cut it that close between clients... where there was not even 5 min in between? There was no apology or understanding. It was the first time I felt like a number and they could care less if I was a client or not. The tone was very dismissive. When I called back later to cancel my weekly blow outs and my cut and toner and explained my reasoning... it was again super dismissive with one word, "ok." I filled out an online appointment request and specifically requested a stylist that specialized in Short hair styles for women. I was put with a stylist who did not specialize in short hair at all, pretty sure she just had an opening so they just put me with the first available stylist. I really should have just gotten out of her chair when I asked about her experience with short hair and she did not give me the answer I was looking for. She rushed my cut, did not style it, and she didn't even show me the back of my hair! That's when I knew it was not going to be good. I blame the receptionist more than I do the stylist, and I really should have trusted my instincts and not allowed her to cut my hair when she told me that she doesn't cut a lot of short hair. I went to Glen Alan salon the first time today to get my haircut and it was awesome. following advices of my girlfriend I asked for "cute and young blond hairstylist" Kery to do my hair and I am absolutely satisfied. she did a great job. she understand what I really want and also gave me some advices to take care my damage hair at home without asking me to buy any stuffs in the Salon. that is the good point. i feel terrible for forgetting my stylists name- but i came in today for a consultation to get rid of the green in my hair and they decided to do a strand test - i really appreciated that because usually people will go in blind on my hair and have some not so great surprises due to me over processing it. they found out they wouldn't be able to lift it, so we came up with the idea to just cut it off! they were so kind to do it right then and there. i had no idea what i wanted (didn't plan on cutting my hair off) but we had fun together figuring that out. i ended up with this ADORABLE dreamy shag cut. i struggle with fine, oily hair so of course she recommended layers. (and honestly, if your heart doesn't beat rapidly when a hair stylist is going in on your hair with a razor, are you even human?) but yes, for all the anxiety, i ended up with the best layers i've ever gotten! i'm so so happy with my hair. i definitely recommend this place (please add the stylists name to this if you can) overall everyone was so helpful (thank you kayla) and professional. definitely a bunch of experts in there. thanks y'all! read more

My wife likes the salon but I had my haircut by Dimitri, do not go to him he is the worst stylist, he didn't even cross check my hair etc.. I had to go to another salon to get my hair "fixed". I had color, cut and style with Anna. It looked nice after she was done. However, after I got home I realized that my hair were burned and damaged. After almost a month, My hair are still breaking. The stylist said that she will leave the color "just for 10 minutes or so", but disappeared for 45 minutes. My hair was healthy before the work was done.
