Katie in the service department was beyond helpful with a service for my mom's car. She went way above and beyond with helping my mom get her car serviced. I was sent a video of the car and what needed to be done. I also received a detailed explanation of the costs. Even though the service was not planned, they picked up the car on a Monday morning and all service was completed by 3:30pm the same day. I also felt the costs were reasonable. read more

My 2025 Subaru Forester from DuTeau Subaru in Lincoln has a critical fire risk issue due to fuel tank pressure. I received an email about this, along with the notice that Subaru did not have the parts to fix it at that time. I've since gotten notice that parts are in, and to schedule a time to get it fixed. That done, after 45 minutes waiting, the rep came out and told me that the part they had for my car had instead been installed on a new car in the lot. (I was told when I made the appointment that it was the last part they had, and they would save it for my vehicle). I was shocked to hear this, as this is a serious safety issue. I am not to fill the gas tank over half full, and Subaru instructed owners to park away from our house if the outdoor temperature rises quickly!! I chose a Subaru over several other vehicles, and now am seriously questioning their commitment to their customers. It seems that customer service should honor an appointment made to fix this, especially verses putting the part scheduled for my car onto a vehicle on the lot. I am currently waiting for them to get more parts in and I guess I'll try again. I am, so far, not impressed!! read more

I leased 2 cars from Duteau. I then moved to Arizona and assumed the Scottsdale dealership would measure up to Duteau. Nope. I have found that Duteau was superb in their care of the client. Yesterday I picked up our 2011 Subaru WRX after the 60,000 mile servicing. The service advisor, Cheryl, told me that the mechanic said that the left rear strut was leaking. Cheryl proposed replacing both struts at a total price of over $1,000. This morning I crawled under the car and inspected the strut. IT IS NOT LEAKING. So much for DuTeau service. The only reason I give the company one star is that it is not possible to give zero. Incidentally, when I purchased the car, I contacted dealers in what I consider my trade area--Chicago to Denver, Minneapolis to Kansas City. I asked every dealer how much they could give me off of invoice. All the answers were from 3% to 7%, except DuTeau. The salesman there said he didn't know what I meant by "invoice". read more

Service after the sale not good at all. Purchased new tires in January 2019, on 11-29-19 took in to repair one tire, was told it was fixed. Next day tire low took in again and was told the plug came lose, fixed again and was told I needed new tires, these tires are less than a year old!!!!! Next day 12-1 tire low again took to a Firestone store and they actually fixed the tire, not just plugged the hole. Called to dealer and explained what had happened, no response !!!!!!! I love my Subaru and will get another one again, but not from this dealer. read more

Absolutely horrible experience! I went to this dealership only to realize all of their aggressive pricing ads are clickbait. I visited them three times and they don't care about customers. They will jack up the ad price as soon as you walk in. And then you wait hours so they can lower the payment down to what they'd advertised. How ridiculous! Just because it's winter time they think they are cars are high in demand so it doesn't matter if they lose one or two customer. I'd never go to this dealership again. I'd much rather lease an Audi quattaro. read more

My husband and I were shopping for a Subaru and we're told by some friends to shop here because the salesmen aren't pushy. We talked to Dustin who was very helpful! He wasn't pushy at all. He listened to us more than he talked. He answered our questions and went above and beyond to help us find what we were looking for. At one point, we asked about a used Outback we saw online. After looking up the CarFax, he told us that he wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing he put us (and our newborn) in that vehicle. It had some problems and I appreciated his honesty. We'll absolutely be going there again to purchase and to maintain our Subaru. Great experience! read more

We test drove an outback several times there recently. Our salesperson was John and he was easy going and not high pressure . They gave us a good out the door price but we decided the outback wasn't the right size vehicle for this time in our life. We fully intended in buying there until we found something else that met our needs better. When we told John we went with a different vehicle, he remained professional - that was terrific. If we consider a Subaru in the future, we definitely will head back over there. read more

Nathan is a great sales guy to work with!! He was knowledgeable and courteous throughout our entire buying experience. A week after having my new car, Nathan contacted me to make sure everything was going well with the vehicle. I told him that there was a popping noise when turning and the reverse camera didn't always work. He immediately offered to have a tech look at the vehicle free of charge to see what the issue was. I dropped my car off today and they are fixing a ball joint at no charge. They're also going to work with the manufacturer dealer to figure out the camera. Until then, they've got me a nice loaner car to use. I love my new car and I'm sure I will even more when it's fixed. They didn't have to do any of this but they are trying to do the right thing and that's hard to come by these days. Nearly two years ago I moved here with a Subaru Legacy 2015 purchased on the west coast. Service manager Chris and his team couldn't have treated me better if I had bought the car from them. They took great care of my wife when I traveled--never had to worry about her being taken advantage of. On the contrary, DuTeau has gone out of their way to 1) provide excellent and timely service 2) at a much lower cost than one could expect from a car dealership. First of all I am in the Auto industry, but a long way away from Nebraska and not writing this to bash competition. My wife was traveling and had a wheel stud issue. I recently needed a head gasket replacement (yes, it really needed it), and they completed the job several days before I expected, and also had the car detailed. The repair ended up costing about 10 percent less than the original estimate, and the car is running great! The salesman told us that a certain option package was included on the car that we ordered. When we came to pick up the car the option package was not on the car. He even started to explain to us how to operate the options. When he realized that this option package was not on the car he just ignored the whole thing and continued as if nothing was wrong. read more

While bringing in my Subaru for routine maintenance, the male from the service department brought be back to my vehicle while it was on the lift. He pointed out a "major leak" from the head gaskets underneath my vehicle and explained to me that I needed to have it repaired immediately. This charge would have been a couple thousand dollars. At the time, I was in college and clearly did not have that much money. He told me the car would not make it another trip home (over 300 miles) and that it needed repaired that day. I have had past experiences with service men stating my vehicles have needed repairs when they did not so I did not take his advice and get it repaired that day. I took my vehicle in for a second opinion elsewhere and they claimed the "major leak" he was speaking of was nonexistent and that there was not a problem at all. I complained to DuTeau about what their service department told me and they claimed they never said such a thing. 50,000 miles and several service checks later and my Subaru is still running just fine! I was extremely disappointed that they tried to scam a "young college girl who knows nothing about vehicles." read more

I came here early 2014 looking at inventory and asking questions. Dustin was the salesman to help us out. However, he did not confront us like a salesman. He was talking to us like we were customers. He answered all of our questions and he was very knowledgeable. If he did not know the answer to questions we were asking, he knew who to contact to make sure all of our questions were answered. He didn't pressure us and he was very kind. He was also very honest, which is a huge thing for us. While we were still shopping around at other dealers, we kept in contact with Dustin (even on his days off!) and we ended up test driving a 2014 Legacy later in the week. We let him know that we were still shopping around but we told him what kind of car we were looking for (specific color, interior, packages, etc) and our price range. He had found us a car in another state and was able to bring it to their lot for us to look at. To our surprise, it was exactly what we were looking for, AND it was cheaper than the rest of the cars that we were shopping around for. We ended up purchasing said 2014 Legacy and everyone involved in the process (Dustin [our salesman] and Matt [business manager], mainly) was very professional, honest, and kind. I would definitely recommend this location and I plan on stopping by in a few years for my next Subaru. :) read more
