Maple glazed Bavarian cream filled stick & Apple Fry Pie.

Lunch buffet at Dutch Kitchen. The salad bar options are impressive. I love the chicken. They have a menu as well. The stars of this place however are baked goods. Best Bavarian cream filled sticks I've ever had, and my daughter loves their fry pies. When you enter the restaurant you walk directly into the bakery area. You don't have to eat here to pick up baked goods. They also allow you to pick your selections before you eat and pay for them on the way out. Cute store inside as well. Informal dining and family friendly.

I went here for lunch today, and I enjoyed this home style cooking very much. The selection is pretty limited for a buffet at 17.00, but what I did have was pretty tasty. The broasted chicken was very moist, and the roast beef was tender. I am usually not much of a soup eater at a buffet, but the Chicken Florentine was super good. The waitress was very friendly, and the restaurant is pretty big. It has a nice atmosphere as well. If you are in the area, it's definitely worth a try.

    Potato, sausage, and kale soup

Stopped in for lunch while driving through Amish Country. This was our first visit. We ordered a BLT which was served with French fries and Potato, Sausage, Kale soup. The BLT was well prepared and served toasted on their homemade bread. The soup was very flavorful and filling with just the right balance of all ingredients. The seating is open, clean and well lighted. Our server was quick to see us after we were seated and our food came out if the kitchen quickly. This is a nice restaurant attached to a gift shop and has clean restrooms. The parking lot is large with easy access. There is also a large buffet available with salad fixings and home style proteins, pasta, and sides. Including dessert options. There are many options for large families, children, or just a couple looking for a light lunch.

Grilled Caprese Sandwich platter with zucchini fries and Corn Nuggets. AMAZING- look at the melty cheese.

Had a wonderful lunch date with my husband today! He enjoyed the buffet and I had a caprese sandwich platter. The sandwich was toasty and had great flavor. They were very generous with the cheese. I had zuchinni fries and corn nuggets (fritters) as my sides. I couldn't finish it all but tried valiantly.

A delicious salad, chicken noodle soup, warm bread.

Really nice buffet lunch. Great salad options. Several meat choices. Excellent service. A clean facility. Nice shop for souvenirs, bakery items, canned goods. Clean restrooms. Desert was delicious. They charge a fair price for quality food. Left full. Glad we tried this restaurant. Super close to P. Graham Dunn. Excellent parking lot.

    Quiet country place.

I wasn't a fan of the buffet. If I were to come back I would order food instead. Nice gift shop, and bakery selections. Staff was nice.

Not a bad place to eat. Decent salad bar (but no protein in sight). And, the coffee is weak.

It's packed but do not get impatient, they have this down to a science and you are usually called within 20-30 minutes or less. It depends on the line. The food is tasty, very delicious. The pies... yum o'lala. Clean, everyone is kind. Oh and the Amish families eat there, so you know it has to be good. Our guest ate from the Buffett, we eat from the menu.

There's a buffet or menu items to choose from. We got the buffet. Full salad bar with fresh ingredients, local cheese. Cold salads like macaroni and broccoli. The croutons were good, crunchy but not break your teeth and they had a variety of breads they used. Fresh bacon pieces. The hot foods bar had: -fried chicken (VERY good, highly recommend) -cabbage casserole (little too cheesy for me) -corn (very very sweet, interesting) -noodles (YUM!!!) -dressing (what they call stuffing, it was good) -bbq ribs (fall of the bone but I thought the sauce could be better, have more flavor) -green beans (basic, would be better with seasoning/butter) -mashed potatoes and gravy (yum!) We had good service and overall the buffet was a better deal than ordering something off the menu, especially if you wanted to try a couple different things. It was a good way to get a wide variety of items. Lemonade was very fresh

It's a big restaurant off of a country road with plenty of parking. As of two weeks ago they were doing work on the highway that was kind of unpleasant with grated roads and lane closures but it looks like it will be done soon maybe.... Anyway, it's a large space with a gift shop and shabby chic decor that all appeared to be for sale since everything has a price tag on it even in the restaurant. The service was pleasant enough. The menu has fairly straightforward cafe like offerings of sandwiches and salads. I wanted something light so I opted for the cesar salad in spite of my reservations when it said tomatoes and olives were on it. Weird but whatever chicken, lettuce, croutons and cesar dressing still felt on brand so I went for it. This is not a cesar salad. It was a salad with balsamic dressing of some kind, toasted bread with the crust cut off and a cold chicken breast. And, it comes with bread but I was told they didn't have rye so I ended up with sourdough that was also not sourdough and the waitperson didn't bring it until I was mostly through eating my refrigerator cold chicken. Just, yikes. Additionally, I still don't know how there was rye for my sister's sandwich but I wasn't allowed to order it with my food. As for her lunch, the pastrami was fine but with a lackluster amount of meat. The French onion soup was the only thing that felt reasonable with quality and price. All in all, I think the snack bars or even grocery stores in the area/ Amish country appeared to have better offerings. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch. The gift shop was cute and reasonably priced so maybe check it out for that but that's it.

We were exhausted when we reached Dalton (with a few miles yet to ride), and this was a perfect little stop. My buddy got a burger which was hot off the grill and I had like 3 scoops of different flavors of ice cream. Each was delicious and MASSIVE. Just what the body needs after all that exercise! Seriously, the portions here are incredibly good value for the price. This was a great lil stop on our trip and it looks like lots of local and non-local folks come here for a quick and honest meal. The only issue to keep in mind is they only take cash. Also, if you've got a gluten or other food allergies, this may not be the place for you. Most food is deep-fried or in sandwiches, and the staff doesn't have a lot of time to answer tons of allergy-related questions since the lines often get long out here. If you've got a gluten problem, stick to the delish ice cream and made-to-order shakes.

We had a lovely time though we weren't thrilled about sitting in the tiny side room at the tiny 4-person bar with our backs to the room...it felt cramped. Our server helped us choose the perfect bottle of wine from an extensive collection. The apples and rice appetizer was excellent..like arancini balls. My husband had the duck and liked it. I had the lumache which was just ok. The pasta was a little too al dente and the large clumsy shells didn't seem like the right shape for the delicate dish. It was supposed to come with shrimp, but surprise...nope! It came with lobster. I find lobster a bit sweet and thought shrimp would have worked better. This girl is usually in the clean plate club when it comes to pasta and seafood dishes but not tonight. I will say that the dessert alone was worth the one hour drive.. the smoked smores arrived with a bell jar of smoke which the server whisked off to reveal a delectable gooey to-die-for cake smothered in caramel and marshmallow. Did I mention it came with two cups of hot white chocolate to pour over the whole thing? Omg..drool-worthy.
