I can now understand the hype behind Dutch Bros Coffee. I don't do too well with coffee and try to avoid sugary drinks, so I held off trying it for a long time. I downloaded the app to get a free medium drink to try. Thanks to the Yelp reviewer who wrote that tip. I read Reddit reviews and used Google to see what the best drinks to order. I decided a Golden Eagle Blended Freeze would be the best drink to start with. It's espresso with vanilla and caramel sauce. I was curious what a Soft Top was given so many people recommended it. Soft Top is a creamy foam. One website says it's made with buttermilk, half-and-half, vanilla syrup, and sugar. Apparently, there are special seasonal flavors of Soft Top that you can ask the barista about. There's also a Secret Menu that you can search online for. I enjoyed the Golden Eagle very much that I am still daydreaming and craving it. Medium size is huge and ended up being 2 servings for me. I ordered with the app, and the drink was ready within 5 minutes when I went to pick it up. There are designated parking spots for mobile pickup. This location is walking distance from Whitney High School, so kids go there to hang out after school. Dutch Bros is known for its drive-thru. No seating. I look forward to trying other Dutch Faves (i.e., Caramelizer - Caramel & Chocolate Milk, Kicker - Irish Cream Breve/Half & Half, Annihilator - Chocolate Macadamia Nut Breve/Half & Half), Cold Brew, Chai, Smoothies, and Shakes. Everyone at this Dutch Bros is friendly and efficient. I don't usually crave sweet coffees but when I do, Dutch is the way to go. Coffee flavor is not burnt tasting and their concoctions are like drinking dessert. I use the app to preorder on my way to work when I'm assigned to Rocklin. Using the app gains points for free drinks and cute stickers. This location is standalone with its own parking lot in a developing area without a lot of traffic except commuter. So nice to have a Dutch Bros so close to home. We've been able to treat our friends and contractors working on our house to Dutch Bros in the crazy 100 degree days we've had recently. Our most recent contractors have loved their Stoplight Rebel and Double Rainbro drinks. (I had no clue what those were but the Dutch Bros employees understood the language!) Muffin tops were insanely sweet, but maybe the younger gen likes them that way. We couldn't stomach the sweetness. I've enjoyed their black teas and lemonades, though I've noticed they tend to fill up the cups full of ice before filling the drinks. So you are really not getting much lemonade or tea after the cup is filled with ice. Guess that's how they make their profits. After watching them make my strawberry black tea and our peach green tea lemonade, it seems pricey for how little lemonade/tea they actually put in the cups. Next time I'll ask for less ice. Ambiance: fun atmosphere. Cool marketing. Cool employees. Service: I have been here since it opened and never once had an issue. The employees are nice, they are friendly, they are knowledgeable. Specific example, I went there today (01/18/2025) and an employee I spoke with last year remembered me. It's not often I get this kind of service at other businesses. Another cool thing about the employees I've noticed: they are super knowledgeable about the drinks. They can recommend substitutions for drink ingredients, drink options, and even recommend drinks with zero sugar if you have someone in your family who cannot have sugar. I really appreciate them. They are absolute gems! Food: the drinks are consistent and good. I have yet to have something I do not like here. But I love the flavored black teas and the iced rebel drinks. Additional notes: I wish they had Christmas ornaments a little longer so I could get them (I know that's probably a corporate thing). Wait times: I have been coming since they opened and never experienced a long wait. I've been to other locations and this one is consistent with the reasonable wait times I've come to be familiar with. If I see a lot of people in line, I know it is going to take a while and prepare for that. To the people talking about wait times, I would say you have to manage expectations by the amount of cars in the drive thru. Think about going to in n out, they have wait lines and I do not hear people complain. This place is nowhere near that kind of wait. So this location gets 5/5 in my book. read more

This location recently opened up and it's amazing! A nice exterior with the classic lines for ordering. When I went, there wasn't too long of a line and we were able to order really quickly. I ordered a cold brew with oat milk and vanilla. It was really good and hit the spot as we were driving through the area. My friend ordered an iced Golden Eagle and had a customization to it. I was really impressed that the workers took the time to confirm like what her customization was to make sure that they got it right. They even came back to double check before finishing making the drink. Her order wasn't complicated but instead of potentially making it wrong they just wanted to confirm from the beginning. Went to this location as this is more convenient and nearby just for a quick pick me up in the day. Every time I've gone they're usually very good and the service is quick when receiving the drinks and I've not had a problem with the drinks up until the last week of ordering from Dutch Bros in this location. I've ordered my usual drink from this location and the last few times I've ordered my drinks through mobile order, they've continuously messed up my drink and the drinks often came watery and not fully mixed or added the correct flavors which comes off as not giving me the correct drink when I've gone to this location. The drink since has not tasted that great and I've struggled to even continue drinking the drink I've ordered due to the inconsistency within this location and I am not usually one to complain. Worst location. I've been to this new location several times. Staff aren't very friendly and they are super lazy /slow. I watched the girl take two car orders then walk away to stand in the shade when it's only 74° out. There were 20 cars in line. I actually had to order at the window and staff did not greet me other than hello. I watched the second girl as she wiped down counters inside. Dutch Bros is more expensive than Starbucks or the human bean. I'd rather drive down to those two shops, than give this location my business. The issue with the set up of this location is once you're in line you're stuck. You have to wait in the very slow line. I find it funny that the girls also ask you for a tip when they don't even do anything. I ordered at the window. I usually tip a dollar on every drink at other locations because they provide exceptional service and make you feel like your business matters. Not here. Drinks at this location are below par of other locations. I'll save my $8. read more

I'm really disappointed with the way they handled their grand opening today towards closing. My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to get our drinks. We walked about 15 minutes from our house to this new Dutch today during their grand opening. We got there at about 10:30pm knowing they closed at 11. We stood in line for about 10-15 minutes and the staff was friendly. There was a line of cars wrapped around the entire building out into the parking lot, however, we found the walk up line to be quicker. Shortly before closing at 11, the workers began telling every car in line that they were not serving anymore drinks for the rest of the night and that they were closed. Although my boyfriend and I were able to receive our drinks, I felt terrible for the handful of people that waited 30-45 minutes in line to not even receive their drinks despite being in line before the business closed. The workers were going up to each of the cars telling them they were closed and were offering to clear the way if they wanted to reverse out to leave. I wish this was handled better tonight. I wish they would have closed the line off earlier or put some cones up to warn guests before staying in line waiting. Or if they weren't able to do that, at least give our vouchers for rain checks for the same discounted rate the many people stood in that long line for. I completely understand that today was incredibly busy for all the workers and I applaud all the time and work that went into making today successful, but I do wish the end of the day were handled differently for those that couldn't come during the day and/or for the people that waited a longer time than we did in their cars to receive absolutely nothing. I believe they lost a handful of business tonight. I hope closing policies are handled more thoughtfully in the future. I do see this location being very successful, being the only DB here in this beautiful neighborhood. I just hope things are handled better in the future. On grand opening day, an employee broke her collar bone, the local fire dept was on the scene and the owner was seen going on about business. It was shocking to witness while in the drive-thru line. Since then, wait times have been very long, and the staff although friendly, are curt. Several incidents have occurred where staff will use swear words to youth "to get the F*** out, or they will call the police". No staff should be using that language towards kids. read more

The worst Dutch bros I've ever been to and I worked at one. I know the process there is no reason why the cars should have been stopped for 20 mins we did not move at all. I'm not sure what they're doing in there but no car has moved and they're continuing to take orders and money and not direct lines so people are cutting. It's a mess. There's seems to be like six cars parked and working employees yet no drinks were passed out or made. I can't wait to see how bad the drink tastes too... in n out lines in LA are faster than this.
