First time for everything! Went there twice. Was with my sister dropping my nephew off to George Fox University. First time, the guy who took our orders had some recommendations and the drinks were delish! It's too bad we forgot the names of what he said. . I ordered 2 drinks the lady outside who took our order slide my daughter's gift card ($5.00) and told us the remaining balance was 7.80. My husband told her we would pay cash for the rest when we got to the booth. When we got there the gift card wasn't taken off the amount and they said the card didn't go through on their end. So we handed the card over but because we already used it with the lady outside taking our order, it didn't have a balance on it. There was nothing we could do and the lady we gave it to was busy taking other people's orders. So just agreed to pay the full price. This location is so easy to get to from the main road that cuts through Newberg and is also close to the Travelodge that I stayed in. There are two drive thru windows you can line up in facing opposite of each other and the person taking orders using the wireless iPad is a genius way to make sure the process is efficient and the wait time minimized. The kids working here are always happy and upbeat and always serve you with a smile. The Sugar Cookie Breve was super yum and the temperature just right. That's what really impressed me. Unfortunately since moving to California, I haven't been able to enjoy my coffee from Dutch Bros as much as I would like to. We come here every time we are in Newberg -- and that's at least once every 2-3 months. The staff here is friendly and helpful. They always make our drinks just the way we ask them to. Sometimes our drink orders can get a little confusing -- coconut milk, white chocolate mocha, half the sugar, blended but not too much ice -- and it comes out perfect. The staff doesn't even huff like they do at some other coffee shops I've been to. For the people who are soy and dairy intolerant, (or who are breastfeeding soy and dairy intolerant children like I was), Dutch Brothers is a great alternative to Starbucks because they offer coconut milk instead of regular milk and soy. Drove through yesterday to get an iced coffee. I ordered a medium which was gigantic compared to other local spots I'd visited on this trip. It was very tasty and service was quick. $2.50 for the iced coffee. Bargain! Not sure why Oregonions love their drive-through but it was very convenient. Note that there are 2 sides for service. When we arrived we weren't sure if it was an order and pull around thing or 2 different ordering stations - perhaps they could add some signage? Overall very pleased. This is my go to Dutch Bros the lines can get really long- but a barista comes and takes orders in line which helps speed along the process. GROSS! This morning I waited in line for 8 minutes for a mocha. A 40-year old guy dressed like a 24-year old took my order. Best service of any drive thru barista in town. They are happy and energetic and have never gotten an order wrong. They even recognize my husband's car and have his order in mind when he gets to the window. DB premakes some of their mixes which cuts down on blending time. But, they will also make whatever espresso item you'd like, you don't have to stick to the menu. The kids love the hot chocolate or ordering Italian sodas with mixed flavors. My favorite dutch. They always have treats for my pup (I'm a sucker for pet friendly establishments). Back in the day, I used to get the same thing every time and they would have it waiting at the window when I pulled up. Today I stopped for a coffee at Dutch Brothers in Newberg, about 9:30 am. I get my coffee drive off and take a drink,its a habit it is my coffee when it is handed to me, I thought. So the coffee was cold and was not what I ordered, somethings wrong, by this time I wish I would have not taken a drink I drove back through and was told the girl who handed me my coffee accidentally handed me her drink. The one that she was already was drinking from. I do like to keep it safe, I don't even like to drink from people I know little alone from strangers. Dutch Bros does have pretty sweet drinks, but you can always ask for 1/2 sweet if you'd prefer stronger coffee flavor. I've loved going to Dutch Bros for years. Everyone is always super friendly and they're great about giving! Free drinks for birthdays, specials for Mother's Day & I've even had the occasion of receiving a free drink when they found out I was on my way to my uncle's funeral.
