I thought I sent this through the Yelp app, but I can't seem to find my review, so I'll send it through again. Simply put, this place is slllllloooowwwww AF. Having to sit in a drive-thru for 20+ minutes for a drink is absolutely stupid. This happened on numerous occasions too. I only go to this particular establishment because it's on my way to work. But I'm done. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and I'll be telling all my friends and family to avoid this place, like the plague. My suggestion? Have your employees stop jaw-jacking with their friends who happen to be customers at the moment. I've personally seen (on several occasions) employees leaning out of the window, having long conversations while they laugh and share whatever it is on their phones. All while there are 4 or more cars waiting in line. Don't get me wrong, there are a few employees there that do a good job, but MOST don't. Hire responsible, courteous, and MATURE minded employees, and you won't have these types of reviews. Oh, and IF, I happen to go back and see this kind of service again. Still my favorite location! The staff is always so cheerful and helpful on suggesting new drink ideas. Though I tend to stick to the same. No matter how long the line, it goes really fast. I came here 7:00 am on a Thursday, there was a moderate line, and the service was pretty quick, it took about 6 minutes from waiting in line for my order and receiving my order. I ordered a triple shot of espresso over ice with a splash of whole milk. I was surprised on how good the espresso tasted! I taste notes of chocolate and nut flavors. Went for a quick coffee run and saw a short line in the drive thru. So we walked up and ordered just 2 lattes and one hot coffee. We basically had to wait over 30 min for this order where it could've taken 5 minutes to make, and with one party ahead of us. They were extremely slow, and messed up a prior order. When we finally received our drinks, one of our lattes tasted bland, with no hint of espresso or any other flavor. So it just tasted like watered-down milk. The staffs didn't appear to have a workflow figured out yet since other customers were also having issues with their orders. This was frustrating to say the least because we were excited to try their drinks after a long wait, but after this experience it's most likely will be our last time. read more

They're all drive-through locations, which makes it very easy inconvenient. Prices are also very affordable and reasonable. I like to get their cookie latte with a soft top and cinnamon sprinkles. Their coffee overall is pretty weak. In my opinion. It's not very strong. Although I'm sure if you asked to make a stronger they can do it. I will hands down choose Dutch over Starbucks every single time. I will admit their menu is quite extensive and a bit intimidating but staff are always a pleasure and can offer some great recommendations. They can make just about anything Starbucks can and often times for cheaper. My go to is the Dirty Girl Chai in colder months or an iced strawberry horchata chai in hotter months. Their rewards program is also a plus, especially on double points days. This location only has one drive thru and can get backed up but it moves pretty fast. As of today, 4/18/24, there is a check in offer on Yelp for $1 any muffin so take advantage of that too! read more

Decided on a pit stop for some coffee on the ride home and since the hubby has never had Dutch Bros. We decided to walk up to the window vs the drive thru bc the line was long. To our surprise, the walk up window service was super fast! Staff were friendly and helpful. We had order three drinks. I ordered the ice latte and the hubby tried the 911 and the caramel Apple smoothie. 911 was super good! Hubby approved and he's a huge coffee drinker! Second fav was the caramel Apple smoothie, tasted more like a slushy than a smoothie but overall a good drink! Ok so absolutely zero complaints about the beverages here. HOWEVER I have a huge complaint, as an ADA patron, about the fact that it is completely illegal to close off (cones and delineation) access to the ADA parking to accommodate their preferred traffic flow. Not only does this violate ADA laws, its unethical. The ONLY way to get to the parking lot is to drive through, exit the drive through and park OR wait the drive through line and turn in.... Here's the issue. I have Spinal Cancer, and often times it's uncomfortable for me to drive longer than necessary. So to force an ADA patron to accommodate YOU and your traffic flow rather than move the cones is discriminatory. Absolutely no other Dutch location does this, and I have reported it not only the DCA, local code enforcement but to Dutch corporate. Rude is kind term for this behavior. read more

Wow. Just... wow. This place is an absolute joke. My wife and I pulled up to the drive-thru in the middle of the night to order two simple Golden Eagle drinks -- nothing complicated, nothing special. The Filipino woman working the window acted like we were ruining her night just by showing up. Eye rolls, rude body language, the whole "you're bothering me" vibe. Then, when my card declined, instead of acting like a professional, she actually said to my face, "Why are you so broke?" and laughed. Yes, laughed -- at a paying customer. I don't care if she thought it was a joke, it was flat-out humiliating. On top of that, the service was painfully slow, which tells me they couldn't care less about making customers happy. This original and first location in Elk Grove is the busiest one of them all. It is situated near the freeway entrance and it has a very heavy traffic atmosphere. It is open 24 hours though so it's convenient for people on the go at all times. I ordered the hyperchrome tea with less ice and it feels and tastes watered down. Maybe an off day for them. Whenever going to Elk Grove and then doing the drive back home, I'll stop by to get my caffeine fix. Dutch bros is just common and easy to get a drink. Good variety of drinks but the only thing that I would say is that when you have someone taking orders, it doesn't always have all the specials listed and a bit harder to have to listen and then remember if they let you know what they are. Luckily the passenger can look up the specials on the site if needed but if it's during rush hour, I can see the lines being backed up by this. Overall a solid place to get coffee though read more

I've shared the following message with feedback@dutchbros.com: "Yesterday around 10:45 AM we went through the drive through at the store located at 8610 Elk Grove Blvd Elk Grove, CA 95624 During this visit, the order taker using the handheld device chatted with the car in front of us even after it was clear the transaction had been completed. While ordering, the car in front of us moved out of sight and when we completed our order, we pulled up behind them and waited as they were still at the window supposedly waiting for their drinks. The person at the window was chatting with this customer the entire time we waited, including while another employee brought us our drinks. Then, after waiting a bit longer, the car at the window and the employee fist bumped each other and the car drove off without us seeing them get any drinks. We pulled up to the window and I asked the employee if they were chatting with the previous customer while we were stuck waiting to leave. The employee seemed caught off guard by the question and scrambled to think of an answer before saying "Oh, they were asking a question." which did not sound convincing. We then left without any further interaction. Normally, I wouldn't even care because the whole experience was maybe 10 or 15 mins but the complete disregard for my time and the time of other customers without even an apology made me want to report the incident. This experience as well as the choice in location (getting out of the parking lot is a nightmare with the main road only being two lanes plus a freeway entrance means we will not be returning to this location. When I visited, the line for Dutch Bros was long but went by fast. They work out of what looks like a small shack, one person walking out to the cars with an iPad to take orders and charge people for their orders. I definitely recommend looking up the menu online before showing up, as the online menu has a more extensive menu than what's shown at the store, and because you don't want to hold other people up in line. The coffee is really good and smooth, on the sweeter side which I really like. One thing that keeps me coming back to Dutch Bros is the good service, but maybe the server was having a bad day when I visited?
