He did the work this morning. Don't expect a fancy truck with his company logo. But he knows what he's doing, he's a pro, doing this for years. I found him to be genuine, honest, didn't try to up-sell me, there were no hidden charges for extra returns or vents or anything. He also cleaned my furnace. And showed me why I didn't need my dryer vent done, saving me money! He also didn't try to prove that there was more dirt than there was in my vents, as I've seen some companies do. He's just a good, hard working, independent businessman. Give him your business. I had the work done because it had been 12 years since I had another company clean my air ducts. I've been sick, have had a few pets in that time, and also had some remodeling done a few years back. You have allergies? Pets? A new house or did remodeling? You may need this so you're breathing clean air!

I called his referral who quoted me a whopping $425 for 15 vents plus $12 each additional vent. That price seemed quite high, so I took to Craigslist and came across Fresh N Clean Duct Cleaning. I called, and Bryan, the owner and operator, quoted me $279 for 16 vents. His company doesn't have much of a presence on the internet, so I could not find impartial reviews. I called one other duct cleaner who quoted me $300 for 16 vents. I took the chance and had Fresh N Clean Duct Cleaning come out, and Bryan was able to schedule me in within a week's time. Bryan showed up as scheduled and was very kind. He explained to me what he was going to do and other aspects of the process, and he went straight to work. Our ducts and vents were particularly dirty, and the vents were a pain to remove and install due to the shoddy carpet installation, so Bryan ended up taking about 30 minutes longer than he initially thought. However, he went above and beyond to get the vents reinstalled properly and never asked for additional money or tried to sell me any additional products. He left the work areas clean of debris, explained to me what he found and how often he recommends a cleaning, and went on his way. I was concerned that the dust from Bryan's work would dirty our recently cleaned furnace, but Bryan told me his process won't affect the furnace. After he left, I removed the furnace panel and found only some minor dust that I was able to blow off by mouth. Unbeknown to Bryan, I had removed a vent from the main trunk in the basement and snapped a photo prior to his cleaning, and then I removed that same vent and snapped a photo after he left. I was happy to find a clean trunk line, and I can only assume he did as good a job on all the smaller lines. Overall, I highly recommend Bryan with Fresh N Clean Duct Cleaning.

Unfortunately, the financial conclusion was a disappointment. The owner told me no extra fees. Yet, he added another $20 for a credit card. Does he really think I have hundreds of dollars in cash??? Then he asked if I wanted to give a tip. Of course I did, as this young man worked long and hard for 3+ hours. So I said of course. That was added. I asked this is just for you, right? Oh no - it is split that with the owner. What owners take money out of their employees tip who sweat and work on their hands and knees for hours cleaning duct vents? When I learned that I felt obligated to increase the tip for this young man. In sum, great job! I'd ask for the young man forever if it wasn't for the owner who is unscrupulous - a SHARK to be sure!

He did an awesome and thorough job on the vent system. And even took the time to explain the furnace problem discovered in the inspection to my landlord, as it needed to be further evaluated by an hvac tech due to the rust & water present in & around wiring & the base of the furnace. He made a call and set up an appointment for this friday (which was real fast I thought). He cleaned up the area when finished, replaced all vent covers all in a reasonable amount of time. He followed up with a confirmation call the day before to make sure that my schedule had not changed. He was extremely professional and courteous. He told me his tech Ralph would be the one coming to the house to do the work, so I had a name to go with a face prior to him getting here. Ralph and his co-worker arrived early for the job and got to work immediately. He explained everything that needed to be done and got my furniture and breakables moved with respect and caution. While doing the job, he should me how much debris was removed and I actually took a picture of how much came out of the ducts. It was amazing. He also explained how this buildup is not good for the furnace nor the home overall and that routine maintenance is key to making sure a home is healthy. The quote Mo provided me via e-mail was exactly what I paid as well. Overall, I was very happy with the service and work that was done and will be calling them again to have my ducts cleaned and when it comes time to have the carpet cleaned in my basement, they are #1 on my list to call.

I'm not typically one to leave negative reviews (just check my history), and it disappoints me to…read morehave to write this one. Despite some of the negative reviews I read about Breathe Fresh, I decided to hire them because most of the bad reviews were not that recent. I spoke with Bobby on the phone and he gave me a quote to clean our air ducts, fireplace and chimney. The next day I texted him to schedule the service and at the end he asked me to text him the address and the price he quoted me. I thought that was strange. Even more strange is that I was asked again the day of by Jon, who actually did the service, as he didn't know what the quoted price was either. Furthermore, Jon also had to ask me what service was being performed. Jon was great! He explained everything as he was doing it and showed me some before and after photos. The one knock on the actual service is that Jon left all of our vents closed, which I did not discover until a couple days later when I realized that the heater was running more often and for longer than usual. I didn't expect this because he ran the fan for almost 20 minutes before leaving to "get the air circulating." Not sure much was circulating though given the closed vents, but that's not the reason for the 2-star review. Keep reading... The first fire I burned in the fireplace after the cleaning resulted in a smokey odor in the house the next day. It was fine while the fire was burning, and I'm certain the damper was open, so I don't believe this to be an error on my part. I'm not claiming it has anything to do with the work that Jon did (or didn't do), but I contacted Bobby to share this info with the hopes that they'd come out to investigate. It had been a week since I burned a fire, but the odor didn't diminish despite the damper being closed and windows being opened during the day. Instead, I developed a cough and my eyes burned. I explained this to Bobby in my communication with him, but it didn't spark any urgency on his end. The timeline of our communication was as follows: Tue 12/12 @ 12:55 pm: I texted Bobby informing him of odor and asking for a good time to chat on the phone. Wed 12/13 @ 9:10 am: I called and left a message for Bobby since I got no response to my previous day's text. Wed 12/13 @ 5:49 pm: Bobby calls and leaves a voicemail, apologizes for missing my call earlier, and says to call him back or text for a faster response. I was at a holiday party, so was unable to answer or respond that evening. Thu 12/14 @ 10:15 am: I text Bobby (as instructed by his voicemail) and gave him a couple time slots in which I'd be available for a call that day. It is now 5:54 pm on Fri 12/15 and I still have not heard back from Bobby. Unfortunately I've had to hire another company to come out and investigate the potential causes for the odor, and I regret having hired Breathe Fresh in the first place. Based on reviews, it appears that Breathe Fresh does great work most of the time. In this instance, I'm discouraged by the lack of follow-through and the apparent disregard for quality customer service.

I called in to get my dryer vents cleaned on the off chance they could get someone over same day (I…read morewas off of work today). Janelle was very helpful and got the technician, Owen, come by in 30 minutes! Owen assessed my dryer vent orientation and started work immediately. He climbed the roof and cleaned out the vents all in about an hour. He could have left it at that since that's all I asked for but he went over and beyond and moved my stacked washer/dryer to check the coil. He determined that the coil needed replacing as it had a hole in it (I saw the coil and it did have a hole). It was a difficilt job as the washer/dryer unit was very heavy and the access to it; small. Highpoint HVAC is a small and yound business but don't let that deter you. Their team is very hard working and is determined to give you the best job NOT ONLY because they are a small business and new, but because, I can legitimately attest to what good people they are too.
