Avocado toast with 2 poached eggs
    Claire B.

We came here specifically for breakfast. The breakfast buffet offers a solid selection of both American and Asian items, and coffee is included with the buffet ($59). Omelets are also included; you fill out a piece of paper and give your order to your server and it's brought directly to your table. I was still quite full from dinner at Ferraro the night before, so I ordered the avocado toast instead. It came with two large slices of bread topped with two eggs--hearty, filling, and plenty of avocado. Coffee ordered separately was about $9. Since this was our first breakfast at the Four Seasons, I was pleasantly surprised when the DUO assistant manager stopped by our table to wish us a Happy Anniversary and thank us for coming. It was a thoughtful and genuinely welcoming gesture.

We heard from the grapevine that the sides were FAR better than appetizers/desserts here, and we took their word for it. Brussel sprouts were good - bonito flakes are unique and the balsamic cuts the grease of everything else on the menu. Lobster twice baked potato was decent - lobster was way too salty. It was basically just mashed potato over some baked potato. NY steak was cooked just right - smoked chimichurri was the best chimichuri I've had ever. They kindly gave us a little chocolate dessert bite + salted caramels in rice paper at the end bc we were on our honeymoon. all seating is outside overlooking the fountain/pool. good for night vibes. server was so very friendly and helpful, even took pics for us!

Located at the four seasons in wailea is Duo Steak & Seafood. Valet parking is complimentary at the four seasons with a reservation at Duo. (They only have valet parking only - no self parking). There are multiple restaurants located at the four seasons but staff are super friendly in directing you where to go. It has an indoor outdoor vibe. Very beautiful during sunset. Servers are attentive. This place isn't a quick bite and go - it's more of a sit down and relax and enjoy type of place. I made a reservation online and noted that we were celebrating our honeymoon. Staff was extremely friendly and greeted us. The menu is extensive with protein on land and sea. My husband and I opted to stick with the meats. 11/10 - THE BEST RIBEYE of our lives. Medium rare - cooked to perfection. It was so tender and soft - just melts in your mouth. I would come back for this ribeye anyday. We also got the New York steak but this cut, although delicious, was nothing compared to the tenderness of ribeye. I wish we both just ordered the ribeye haha. We added on the truffle mac and cheese as a side a la carte. Super rich and creamy with a nice crispy top. We did also order the scallops as an appetizer (the dish comes with only 2 scallops) I wish there were at least 3-4 pc of scallops. The scallops have a nice crisp on the top. Flavor and texture were impeccable though. This is a place I highly recommend anyone looking for a nice dinner to celebrate any occasion. Service and quality of food are top notch. I can't wait to return next time! :)

The excellent reviews of DUO are spot on! The food is high quality and the service is stellar! Located in the Four Seasons the entire setting is upscale from the valet experience to walking through the lobby lounge. Nicholas was our waiter. He was very welcoming and attentive. The ribeye we ordered was flavorful and cooked to perfection. Our cocktails were also made to perfection!

Duo at the Four Seasons Maui has become a "must" for us every time we visit, whether or not we stay at the resort. The food is consistently outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The steaks are excellent, and so is the catch of the day. Every single visit we've had an incredible meal. What truly makes Duo stand out, though, is the service. Tom, the general manager, is fantastic and always makes a point to stop by and connect. Timmy has been our server a few times, and he is absolutely fantastic. On one visit, we had Cooper, who was also terrific. At the bar, Shane makes one of the best espresso martinis we've ever had (though we do miss Nick, who used to be behind the bar but moved)! The atmosphere is magical at sunset with world-class food paired with a breathtaking Maui view. We also had brunch here during a recent stay, and it was just as memorable, with excellent food and service. Duo is the kind of restaurant that makes every visit to Maui special. My boys really enjoyed their steaks. The oysters were great! The ahi appetizer was great! The chicken was the driest chicken I have ever had. We also asked for things that were never brought to us until we were almost done with our meal. Pretty disappointed on my end. I left hungry.

Very nice dinner and breakfast spot. Had dinner here the first night; very nice service and ambience. For food we had; Lobster panang curry - delicious! A must have. Red snapper - excellent and well prepared. The pour over sauce was too thin but otherwise tasty. Filet mignon - perfectly cooked to medium rare as we ordered. Well seasoned. Potato puree - decadently creamy. They threw in a small chocolate cake for our celebration dinner! Quite tasty. Breakfast was nice. We ordered ala carte. Pricey but decent portions. Buffet is probably a better value if you are hungry enough to enjoy multiple plates.

The level of service here was really great. It was my kids' first experience at a high-end steakhouse and they really enjoyed it. There aren't too many nicer places to stroll around on a Maui resort than the Four Seasons, and Duo is no exception. Everything from valet to a walk to the beach before our reservation was top notch. They blend "you are in paradise" with "you are at a steakhouse" very well. My family loved all their food, and my Australian wagyu was....okay.

Our dinner at Duo was amazing. The filet mignon was top tier and sides were also phenomenal (10/10), our waiter was just absolutely incredible too. The ambiance was perfect as it is overlooking the stunning Four Seasons beach. One star removed due to the price. I understand it's the Four Seasons and all but it was on par with the best steakhouses in NYC and their prices are 1/2 of this. Likely the cost of being on Hawaii but still...that annoyed me.

DUO Wedge. Very good. Not that big.
    Alex B.

Really good place. Prime cuts of meat and absolutely charming atmosphere. The waiter stole the show. We were a party of 11 and he nailed it. Got everyone what they needed when they needed it. $100 is a pretty hefty price tag for a 16oz prime ribeye, but this place is at a very very nice hotel - so it wasn't unexpected. Pork Belly was good but not crispy. More of a sticky/chewy/fatty/sauce style Amazing french fries. They held their crispiness!

Shane gave is such great service! Food and drinks were amazing and we will definitely be back! Rib eye and wagyu cooked perfectly and island fish which was opakapaka was delish!!! Mushrooms, brussel sprouts, and mac and cheese were great sides to our dinner. We were too full for dessert so need to come back to try dessert. Although the Taste of Hawaii event was going on the same evening we were there, we still received awesome service and loved the ambiance!

I had the pleasure of dining at DUO Steak & Seafood at the Four Seasons Maui, and it was a highlight of my trip. The ribeye was so perfectly prepared that I came back a second night just to try the tomahawk ribeye and it was absolutely worth it. The truffle mac & cheese deserves its own standing ovation; I ordered it twice because it was that good. Even outside of dinner, DUO kept impressing me. Breakfast there wasn't just an afterthought it was probably the best breakfast I've ever had in Maui. From start to finish, the food, service, and atmosphere made DUO a dining experience I'll be remembering long after the trip.

They were all very tasty, though a bit heavy on the salt for my personal palate. We also tried the wings, which come in a great variety of flavors. My only real gripe was that the fries were a bit overcooked, but the service was so fast and attentive that it made up for it. Overall, a great neighborhood spot for a casual hang. I don't prefer chains but when it comes to steakhouses, it's fine long as it's high quality. Whenever I am visiting the Wailea area,…read moreI have always tried to reserve a night for a good steak since this is one of the few places in the world where you can get steamed rice with your steaks! (For the uninitiated, a definite Asian thing is steamed rice instead of a potato based carbohydrate with your steak...it is one of my favorite things and generally cannot be found at great steakhouses in the world outside of Asia or Hawaii). My usual go-to spot in Wailea for steaks has been Ruths' Chris which is a direct competitor and just 1 floor up from Wolfgang's. I have always gone to Ruths' because of name recognition and when I checked on Yelp, the reviews for Wolfgang's have been kind of inconsistent so I have stayed away. I decided to take one for the team and reserved a table here on New Year's Eve. Overall, I had a very good experience and i would now choose this over Ruths' when in the area. Here is why: 1. They were ready for me upon arrival. My party arrived about 10 min early and we were promptly seated. That has never happened at Ruths' where waiting about 10 min "while the table is set up for us" seems to be the norm. 2. The dining environment is open, bright and airy and there is a choice of both inside or lanai seating. Ruths' comes across as dark, clubby and a bit dated. To be fair, the lanai seating at Wolfgang's is not overlooking anything of interest but at least there is an outside open air dining option. 3. The steaks at Wolfgang's were just a bit larger, tastier (they are dry aged), and honestly seemed to be a bit higher in quality. Mine came out sizzling on a very hot plate, elevated on presentation, and it was pre-sliced and perfectly cooked. Seasoning is minimal to light which allowed the real flavor to shine through. 4. The sides I had were perfect. Portion sizes are generous and came out prepared well and at the perfect temperature. Sautéed spinach and steamed rice were what we ordered and they were outstanding. These were good enough with the great steak that collectively it would qualify as my death row meal should I ever need one. 5. They have a great wine list. Award winning, in fact and had I not brought my own, there were plenty of interesting choices that I would have loved to consider. Wine markup pricing is typical (which is to say, stratospheric). I think the one thing that is a slight downer for me in this review is the pricing. Corkage runs $40 and most of their steaks are well north of $100. Ruths' is slightly less expensive and to be fair, the steaks at Wolfgang's seem larger and they are dry aged which imparts additional cost. Plus, this is Maui and nothing here is cheap. But this will be one of the most expensive meals you can book a table for in this area. The reason for holding out the 5th star is the service. The service was good and there were no mistakes. In fact, I really enjoyed my casual interactions with our busser, main server, and the wine manager. However, they were just that...casual interactions which are endearing but not indicative of white table cloth service. But it was not comprehensive white table cloth service which I would expect when you are dropping a load of dough on a single meal. Great food in a nice setting it is. Finest dining this is not except for the price points. After all of that, I think this is my new favorite spot for steak and rice in the Wailea area. So ono!

I went straight for their signature twelve ounce prime rib with creamed potatoes, because when you see prime rib coming out of a food truck, you have to test whether dreams really do come true. Let me tell you, they do. The meat was juicy, tender, and cooked with way more skill than I was prepared for while standing under palm trees in a garden. The creamed potatoes were rich, velvety, and the perfect partner to all that beefy glory. I actually caught myself grinning between bites because it was just that satisfying. The whole vibe of eating prime rib in the middle of a tropical garden adds a little bit of magic to the experience. You're sitting there, surrounded by lush greenery, people milling around with poke bowls and smoothies, and suddenly you're carving into a slab of steak that belongs on a white tablecloth. It is part fine dining, part Maui chill, and completely awesome. The staff at the truck were friendly, quick, and clearly proud of what they're serving. And they should be. This is one of those food trucks that could easily pull off a brick-and-mortar restaurant, but instead you get to enjoy it in a garden setting with your flip flops on. I walked away full, happy, and already plotting my return to work my way through the rest of the menu. Aloha Prime Eatery is a serious new contender in the South Maui food truck scene and absolutely worth seeking out.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch Banana Bread Review Only!!!…read more The shaved ice truck behind this one was closed so we ordered dessert from here instead. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Banana Bread dessert is a must have! The banana bread was soft on the inside and crusty on the outside. With fresh bananas, ice cream, candied bacon and a Carmel drizzle! Would highly suggest this dessert!
