I come and and the guy rings the bell for will call. Wait 5 minutes and no one comes. Ring again. Someone comes. He spent 10 minutes trying to find my order and couldn't. Then I had to wait 15 minutes in line and then someone wrote up my order and I went to pay for it. They told me I had to drive somewhere a few blocks away to pick up my items. Fine. I did that. And I get there and they say they are out of stock of 3 of my four items. Why did they just sell me out of stock items and not tell me. Now I have to call on the phone and convince them I didn't actually get the three items I paid for and they need to credit my card. I didn't have the time to drive 2 blocks and back wait in line again. Update: they don't take phone calls on the weekend, even though they are open. !!?! And all of this took an hour, which should have taken less than 5 minutes and completely messed up my whole day of scheduled events.

(See my previous review) I am updating my previous review because I got a call from a fellow Veteran that this Big R was now finally honoring their web site advertised Military / Veterans Discount. Off I went to verify. Lo and behold, they have a sandwich board outside the front door boasting of their Military / Veterans Discount. So, I went in, scored a free bag of popcorn at the door, was directed to the merchandise I wanted, went to pay where I presented my US Department of Defense Military Veterans id. I received a Veterans Discount. NO employee thanked me for my Service. I'm not sure they even know what a Veteran is beyond that I get a discount there, nor why we are important. https://pullingforveterans.org/blog/why-are-veterans-important/ PROS Building is old but was clean, neat and not cluttered. Selection was adequate for the type of store it is. Organized Customer service was adequate. Disabled-friendly as aisles were clear and wide enough making them easy and safe to traverse. I added another star for their finally complying with their website boast of having a Military / Veterans Discount. A Military Veterans Discount is a token thank you and powerful gesture of earned respect to Veterans and GIs as it provides resource to ensure Veterans (rare 6% of the population) and GIs (rare one-half of one percent of the population) opportunity to participate in American Dream Veterans and GIs' sacrifices have made possible for 100% of the population. https://www.londonmiddlebury.com/blog-resources/the-history-strategy-behind-the-veteran-discount I'll be back.
