This has been on my radar for a while to do after a hike and I finally made it! My boyfriend and I…read morecame during the weekend for a late dinner. There was plenty of parking. I agree with others that it's somewhat set up like a Cracker Barrel - a combination of store and restaurant. There are three areas you can eat - outside on the patio, on the bar side (tons of seating of different variety- bench, seats, and couches), and the non-bar side (seating is less and a bit more tight). There's lots of interesting decor and history here. It seems like a nice place to hang out during the colder months when the fireplace gets going. Ordering was super quick and you don't have to sit on the side you ordered from. Just let them know where you will be at and they will come find you (listen for your number). I had the apple cider and I was pleasantly surprised. All the Apple cider I have had is non-alcoholic and I thought that was what I was drinking until my boyfriend set me straight. It was so yummy and I couldn't taste the alcohol at all (my kind of drink)! The ID check should have clued me in...but I thought it was because my boyfriend also ordered an alcoholic drink. My boyfriend ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger with Mac & Cheese while I had the Brisket Grilled Cheese with Bacon Ranch Potato Salad. We also ordered a dozen Apple Butter. Everything tasted good and there was a decent amount of brisket in my sandwich. Even that I recommend letting some pieces with the bbq sauce mix in with the potato salad. It makes it even better! The donuts were good too, but I recommend taking them home and popping them into the microwave for a bit. Then put a scoop of coffee almond ice cream on it. All in all, I definitely wouldn't mind coming back here again after a hike.

Representing 2022 in alphabet series, K is for Krispy Kreme in Hagerstown! I had been to this…read moreKrispy Kreme at least twice. I used to have rare work travel to Hagerstown. They went online in late 2022, so I don't make it out that way anymore. July 2020: My girlfriend of that time & I WiFi here after my work travel. She was working remotely and tagged along for a day trip to Hagerstown. At this time, my work travel here was just drop boxes in the lobby as they were closed to the public during Covid. Afterward, went to Krispy Kreme for a coffee drink & maybe donut which was a comfortable environment with good lighting. Staff was friendly, and the quality of the donut/coffee was great. March 2022: This was a terrible day, but at least Krispy Kreme was comfort donut & sweet caramel coffee drink. I was in my office that morning and traveled to Hagerstown on work travel in the afternoon. At 9:15 AM while in office, my dad called me, which was pretty unusual for him to call that early. He was bawling saying that the family dog died. Early March was a sad time. I was despondent but still proceeded to Hagerstown that afternoon as I had previously planned for that Wednesday. Once again, Krispy Kreme was there with a nice staff and great donut & caramel coffee drink. I don't even think I bothered with WiFi that time as I just wanted to go straight home after a quick bite here. Conclusions: People think of Krispy Kreme for the donuts, which are great light & airy and awfully sweet. But people don't think about their drinks, which are solid. If ever in Hagerstown, I'd try to return here.

If there is a business I am on the search for more than ones coffee-related, it is those of the…read morepastry orientation. And especially ones with doughnuts. Glazed, cake, stuffed, seasonal; I want them all! And I will likely order them all. So by proxy I have a mental list of such establishments that I keep a eye out for (most recently, Voodoo Doughnuts) and Duck Doughnuts is one of them. Little did I know, until just a week ago, that there is a location in Winchester. The morning of my visit could not have been more perfect for a first timer. Rain was drizzling, but not heavy. The sky was overcast. The temps were low, but not frigid. And that Shenandoah Valley wind was just the right amount of chilling. I went in with high expectations. Here's what happened. I began to peruse the menu and soon realized that I would be making many a visit before obtaining a full understanding of all they have to offer. So I settled on the blueberry pancake and the holiday sprinkle (seasonal) with a cup of coffee (only $5.99). What I then learned is that each doughnut is 1) a cake doughnut (just for those who favor/don't favor this type of doughnut), 2) is made to order (as in the toppings and/or stuffing), and 3) they all come out warm! The coffee is a medium roast, but on the darker side. Just a FYI. I sat down at the window bench and looked out on the dismay day that was about to get exponentially better. The doughnuts, for the short period of time they lasted, were a work of art (be sure to check out my photos). They paired well with the coffee and left me wishing I had made the bigger commitment of ordering half a dozen. But there will be more visits in the future. Until then, I recommend you stop in to pick up a few (or more) and know that you can also order ahead of time (via online).

So thankful to have a donut shop that makes a hot and fresh donut to order!…read more My family and I have been here a few times already. We've placed our order at register, through the app, and on their digital screen where you can bypass the line (and get reward points for the app)! The app is definitely the easiest. My go to donut is peanut butter glaze, bacon and marshmallow drizzle. My wife and I just discovered the donut breakfast sandwich. GAME CHANGER!!! The staff and owners have been very welcoming and personal. The inside is very clean, and we thoroughly enjoy the openness where the boys enjoy watching the workers make the donuts. We look forward to continuing to support Duck Donuts and their delicious donuts!

The manager came out with this expression on her face like shes so done with her job. She said "what does it say on the app..." we saw that they only offer 3pc with a purchase. My bf ordered a drink but midway wanted to change the drink, so I can understand their frustration. In addition, we were asking whats the specialty coffee, she was giving the same face and said "what...so you want cookies and cream..? What flavor do you want? If you look here, it's on the menu..." Putting all frustrations to the side - I also work in the hospitality industry, and you should not show your frustration to the customer. This manager, the entire time - had the worse aura ever...you could sense that she was not happy with us. We were being very polite; it's a Sunday and it's my birthday, I have no reason to be upset :) That manager was just so rude and had the worse attitude ever...if she speaks to all of her customers like this, please go find a new job because customer service is not for you. The donuts are always delicious, so I'm happy at the end of the day :) The manager had short-red-straight hair with glasses.

I'm obsessed with their delicious donuts and kolaches - highly recommend!

I like that they fill donuts fresh in the store when you order, too. I wish the company would improve their iced coffee options. It seemed a bit average and simple for a store with great branding. That's not a mark against this specific store tho. I've visited this store a couple of times and would highly recommend them over any other chain donut location in the area.

I was super excited to get a hot dog!! I chose the original with half cheddar/half mozzarella. It was very good. Isabella was very friendly and inviting as soon as we walked in. However, they are either backed up with the cooking or understaffed.. The cooking time took a while, and Isabella had to ring up customers as well as make the drinks, serve the food, etc. There were a few tables available inside, as well as outdoor seating a few stores down.
