Representing 2022 in alphabet series, K is for Krispy Kreme in Hagerstown! I had been to this Krispy Kreme at least twice. I used to have rare work travel to Hagerstown. They went online in late 2022, so I don't make it out that way anymore. July 2020: My girlfriend of that time & I WiFi here after my work travel. She was working remotely and tagged along for a day trip to Hagerstown. At this time, my work travel here was just drop boxes in the lobby as they were closed to the public during Covid. Afterward, went to Krispy Kreme for a coffee drink & maybe donut which was a comfortable environment with good lighting. Staff was friendly, and the quality of the donut/coffee was great. March 2022: This was a terrible day, but at least Krispy Kreme was comfort donut & sweet caramel coffee drink. I was in my office that morning and traveled to Hagerstown on work travel in the afternoon. At 9:15 AM while in office, my dad called me, which was pretty unusual for him to call that early. He was bawling saying that the family dog died. Early March was a sad time. I was despondent but still proceeded to Hagerstown that afternoon as I had previously planned for that Wednesday. Once again, Krispy Kreme was there with a nice staff and great donut & caramel coffee drink. I don't even think I bothered with WiFi that time as I just wanted to go straight home after a quick bite here. Conclusions: People think of Krispy Kreme for the donuts, which are great light & airy and awfully sweet. But people don't think about their drinks, which are solid. If ever in Hagerstown, I'd try to return here. read more

These donuts are a part of me. On Saturday nights my friend and I would head to Roanoke, VA fifty miles away the closet Krispy Kreme to us. We would sit at the counter watching the process as the little miracles paraded down the conveyer belt and when they reached the last step, a trip under a curtain of heavenly topping we had them on our plates within a minute. The best donuts in the game. I want to give a shout out this location. I came to the drive through last night and ordered "one" donut. It's been a while since I had Krispy donuts so just wanted to have a piece of my childhood at that moment. I drove around in the drive thru and started my wait at the window. I was on the phone but started realizing how long I was sitting for one donut. I looked around. There was no one in the store. And like any good American, I start talking mad sh*t about the service and how long I was waiting for "one" donut. As I'm making sure I can be heard.. with my $20 bill to pay for my donut in hand, a black dude with drive thru headphones comes to the window... He is very polite and said "ma'am the red light is on and the donuts being made fresh." I was like I'm so sorry I didn't know. I then try to pay and he tells me.. "you get a donut for free when you come in on the red light!" Gosh now I really feel like crap, because he not taking the money for the donut. I told him thank you again. And I tell you what. He went well beyond what I'd think would be in his job description and his customer service skills were spot on. I haven't had a lot of Krispy Kreme so I don't know what the other location's donuts are like. Donuts had a nice soft and chewy texture. The filling to dough ratio was great! Very, very sweet. The lemon wasn't tart and the Oreo one tasted more like vanilla than cookie. I love sweets and desserts but these (specifically the Oreo) was way too sweet for me. read more

This location looks modern, clean, and new. We showed our COVID vaccination cards and were provided free glazed donuts that were freshly made on 7/3/21. Employees were friendly. Wish this location was closer to us! read more

This location doesn't seem to be in the best area of town but that doesn't change the taste of these delightful doughnuts. They are delicious! Soft, just the right amount of sweetness and warm! Went to this establishment on Saturday, October 7th. The red light was on and I was told they didn't have any hot and I would need to wait 8 minutes. If you don't have hot donuts to serve don't have the red light on. Total disappointment. Will not go back. read more

Let me first start by saying that I absolutely love Krispy Cream! It's one of my favorite donuts. Especially the hot glazed ones. When they are fresh and hot, they are hard to beat. This location however is definitely not the best location. First off the employees act like they do not want to be there. This happens at most retail stores from time to time. The issue is when it happens every time you go there. The other major issue with this location is the donuts themselves. Although they are delicious when they are first made, they are slightly different than any other Krispy Cream I have ever been to. The inside is not as soft and airy as normal. The donuts also seem to get stale a lot faster. Donuts from this location really are not that good the next morning. They seem to harden and become very stale. With that being said if you want a fresh hot donut from this location, go for it! Just check your order before you leave because they seem to have issues with getting your order correct. read more

Went there New Year's Eve. Supposedly was open hot donut sign was on. Pulled to drive thru menu. Gave order Asked if I had a dozen. Waiter number one never answered. Waiter number 2. Said to please repeat donuts I wanted. Then told me to drive up to drive thru window and it would be easier to take the order there. Drove up to drive thru window. And I was completely ignored there. Grrrrr. So angry. Was having company, so went in to order a dozen plus. The bulk of our order was chocolate coved custard. The employee asked, "Custard or cream?" I clearly stated all yellow custard. We get home and sure enough they were all white cream. No one would eat them. read more

I don't recommend stopping at this Krispy Kreme. It disappointed me once before, but I gave them a second chance. I really wanted this relationship to work. This time, the receipt didn't reflect what I ordered and the doughnuts I received did not match what was listed on the receipt. That was some next level carelessness. If you eat the doughnuts quickly, you will not notice the flavors of mass produced product that is hidden by the shockingly sweet glaze. You also won't notice that all the fillings could taste the same or taste like nothing at all. If I can say something positive, it is that the textures of the doughnuts are pleasant when you force them down. read more

Earlier tonight this location had glaze pouring out into the parking lot from a burst pipe. I was at a different store in this shopping center and because the glaze had traveled to the end of the parking lot, my son slipped in it and ruined a new pair of shoes. When I asked the manager on duty, she lied and said it wasnt coming from them and that it was only water. I asked her why it was sticky and smelled like sugar, and she admitted that it was glaze mixed with water. I asked what she planned to do about it and she said there was nothing she could do until the store manager returned the next day. She said that they couldnt shut down to fix the problem, and that she had already sprayed some water on it. My pregnant girlfriend who is a high-risk pregnancy almost slipped in the sugar water as well. Im completely disgusted by this companies complete disregard for safety and the well-being of people walking through the parking lot downstream of their store. read more

If I could add more than 5 stars, I would. After the Hagerstown fireworks ended, we rushed over to get donuts, but as luck would have it we got stuck in traffic. I called KK at 10:09pm and found out the store had closed at 10pm. We explained to Brandon, whom answered the phone, how we were stuck in traffic and all we wanted the whole time watching fireworks were KK donuts. Don't you know Brandon said absolutely we will sell you a dozen of donuts. What are you driving and how soon will you be here. I told him we were turning into the parking lot right now. We were graciously greeted at the door and all four of us walked into the store and were able to purchase a dozen of delicious KK donuts. Please know KK, because of Brandon's above and beyond customer service, I and my family will be lifetime customers/fans of the Dual Highway KK!!!! We KK s!!!!!
