There are three areas you can eat - outside on the patio, on the bar side (tons of seating of different variety- bench, seats, and couches), and the non-bar side (seating is less and a bit more tight). There's lots of interesting decor and history here. It seems like a nice place to hang out during the colder months when the fireplace gets going. Ordering was super quick and you don't have to sit on the side you ordered from. Just let them know where you will be at and they will come find you (listen for your number). I had the apple cider and I was pleasantly surprised. All the Apple cider I have had is non-alcoholic and I thought that was what I was drinking until my boyfriend set me straight. It was so yummy and I couldn't taste the alcohol at all (my kind of drink)! The ID check should have clued me in...but I thought it was because my boyfriend also ordered an alcoholic drink. My boyfriend ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger with Mac & Cheese while I had the Brisket Grilled Cheese with Bacon Ranch Potato Salad. We also ordered a dozen Apple Butter. Everything tasted good and there was a decent amount of brisket in my sandwich. Even that I recommend letting some pieces with the bbq sauce mix in with the potato salad. It makes it even better! The donuts were good too, but I recommend taking them home and popping them into the microwave for a bit. Then put a scoop of coffee almond ice cream on it. All in all, I definitely wouldn't mind coming back here again after a hike.

They went online in late 2022, so I don't make it out that way anymore. July 2020: My girlfriend of that time & I WiFi here after my work travel. She was working remotely and tagged along for a day trip to Hagerstown. At this time, my work travel here was just drop boxes in the lobby as they were closed to the public during Covid. Afterward, went to Krispy Kreme for a coffee drink & maybe donut which was a comfortable environment with good lighting. Staff was friendly, and the quality of the donut/coffee was great. March 2022: This was a terrible day, but at least Krispy Kreme was comfort donut & sweet caramel coffee drink. I was in my office that morning and traveled to Hagerstown on work travel in the afternoon. At 9:15 AM while in office, my dad called me, which was pretty unusual for him to call that early. He was bawling saying that the family dog died. Early March was a sad time. I was despondent but still proceeded to Hagerstown that afternoon as I had previously planned for that Wednesday. Once again, Krispy Kreme was there with a nice staff and great donut & caramel coffee drink. I don't even think I bothered with WiFi that time as I just wanted to go straight home after a quick bite here. Conclusions: People think of Krispy Kreme for the donuts, which are great light & airy and awfully sweet. But people don't think about their drinks, which are solid. If ever in Hagerstown, I'd try to return here.

The manager came out with this expression on her face like shes so done with her job. She said "what does it say on the app..." we saw that they only offer 3pc with a purchase. My bf ordered a drink but midway wanted to change the drink, so I can understand their frustration. In addition, we were asking whats the specialty coffee, she was giving the same face and said "what...so you want cookies and cream..? What flavor do you want? If you look here, it's on the menu..." Putting all frustrations to the side - I also work in the hospitality industry, and you should not show your frustration to the customer. This manager, the entire time - had the worse aura ever...you could sense that she was not happy with us. We were being very polite; it's a Sunday and it's my birthday, I have no reason to be upset :) That manager was just so rude and had the worse attitude ever...if she speaks to all of her customers like this, please go find a new job because customer service is not for you.
